Years ago, I recall a moment when a college professor urged me to join an anti-war protest, likely against the Iraq or Afghanistan conflicts, and aligned with sentiments against the Bush administration. Not keen on getting entangled in trouble, I opted to remain in class instead of participating. While others protested, I delved into Langston Hughes' work, preparing for an upcoming exam. An hour later, my professor was furious. She took it upon herself to assign me a failing grade for my absence at the protest.
Despite the pressure, I stood my ground. I refused to burn the American flag, firmly believing in upholding its symbolism.
In the words of my father, “I no longer recognize America, hard to believe I served in the Air Force for this.”

They intentionally violated laws. Yesterday, I watched a counterattack against police at Columbia University! Guess how that turned out for them? They may have Student Visas revoked, so they can protest in person. The University certainly didn’t teach them to think ahead!
