A suggestion would be to go for reap instead of hemorrhage for several reasons.
1. you will never use your guaranteed overpower with hemorrhage.
2. the essence generation is amazing in groups of monsters
3. guaranteed corpse for tendrils right at the start
Thanks for the guide. I've been playing blood surge using your paragon board for your blood lance build.
I was able to swap a few points around to pick up a couple of extra magic and rare nodes but still meet the intelligence requirements for the glyphs.
On the 1st board I took out 2 normal intelligence nodes around the glyph. I took out 2 normal intelligence nodes on the bloodbath board around the glyph. I took out a normal willpower node on the blood begets blood board around the glyph and moved the connecting intelligence node so I was still meeting the requirements for the glyph.
I used 3 of those points on the starter board to grab the magic willpower nodes and the knowledge rare node. The other 2 points I used on the bloodbath board to grab a 2.0% healing received magic node and the remedy rare node.
This is basically what I've been running since the season started. I'm really have been enjoying it.

Switched over to this from your blood lance build and I'm having the time of my life. I don't have the funds atm to change everything I need to but it functions and I just cleared a T32 at lvl 70 pretty much unscathed.

Blood Surge is highly underrated. On my build, my ultii is blood wave with the shadow aspect as my build is completely built towards cheesing DoT from it and the darkness corpse explosion. But most of the time, a fully leveled blood surge will chunk the HP of every boss with the other attacks finishing them off. But if I changed the upgrade on the skill tree to the bloodsurge that builds up towards overpower, blood skills are serious business!
Ah blood surge, my first love. I really do hope overpower gets adjusted asap for the sake of both blood builds.
You are always giving me new ideas, great combination with Audacity! Really liked Bloodsurge even before the upcoming Untimely Death buff. Have you tried using reap in the Decrep Skillslot? Its kinda nice for it's damage reduction (could probably replace Might Aspect) and IAS on kill.
I don't think 2 generators is good on the build. Don't have the skill points to support it.
@@MacroBioBoi Yea, that is a problem but the benefit in DR and IAS on kill is still kinda tempting. I would probably sacrifice points in Tendrills, since its up almost all the time anyway at least in lower tier dungeons.

I'm running this with the Lidless Wall and it's so good.
Because tendrils is not working I been using embalmer aspect with potent blood + umbral. I'm really close to 100% uptime because the auto corpse explosion keeps giving me orbs. I was farming NM50ish really easy as a lv84, I could push higher but not worth the exp.
I use disobedience and temerity as my other 2 defense items. For boots I use mist blighted corpse explosion, I can spam blood mist with only a 1-3 secons cooldown because I stack cooldown reduction and that's only with 1 points in blood mist. I stacked a lot of lucky hit, not sure if the blighted CE or the blood surge is keeping it down with decrepify but it just works perfectly.
Gloves I use grasping veins and for the offhand I use a focus with a perfect rathmas vigor. I know that's really offenvise oriented but things die so fast and I barely need to heal because of the blood orbs/temerity/blood surge/permamist if needed.
Amulet I'm using deathspeaker, hands down better than the sacrifice bonuses for multiple reasons.
1.Reapers just spam so many corpses that you never run out and they proc cooldown/curse.
2. Mages just give you free essence, proc cooldown and they can crowd control but things die before they get freeze.
3. They proc overpower novas and with a 50% speed bonus and almost a 100% uptime essence, the sacrifice bonuses can't keep up. Once I swtiched from lance to surge/amulet I been getting people asking me about the build.
I also still don't have a mendeln ring with this character, I could literally just replace umbral with it and it will just give me extra damage. I can just swap out hemorrage since I barely use it (holding corpse explosion 2-3 seconds is enough with reapers) for bone prision. That would also help with the weakness of the build, single target. I had to kite a Butcher +10 my level from pack to pack of monsters so I could damage him enough but the stacks of monsters were dying so fast I kited that guy for a really long distance.
Also if you decide to use a shield then, you can take out grasping veins or umbral if you don't want to include the mendeln ring. Sorry for the long post, I just been having so much fun since I switched from lance to surge that I wanted to share.
I used blood surge in S0 with temerity. In T3 it was awesome. I constantly iverhealed and therefore I was invincible. In T4 that changed but maybe that's different after 1.1.1
The first attack of blood surge, the pull.. should pull in blood orbs as if they were additional enemies, similar to bloodlance with the new aspect
Nice vid + Build. I ran a summoner/surge build on eternal that I really enjoyed. Any plans to do a Non-Season surge build? IE no malignant gems. I'd be interested to see what you come up with
Single target can get tricky, but for pure fun this is the build. Not sure why but it's a blast to play.

starlight aspect works quite nicely on essence generator for me at lvl 96 and about 26k life (on eternal playing super casualy )
what are your thoughts around Blood Surge + minion build with Deathspeaker's pendant for high NM ?
Whats stronger rathma's choosen on neck or sacrifice? Or untimely death with temerity in mind when patch hits? Could go lucky hit on barrier while constantly overhealing/potting to get more shield going. Maybe removing shield for focus for even more offensive?
random question, i’ve been trying bone spear lidless wall and separately trying a hybrid bone spear and meldeln ring build with Army of the dead in place of bone storm. Recommend trying it out for another change of pace
As a suggestion to anyone is having resource issues while putting this together, I'm finding that a Mother's embrace ring really frees up my resource management issues. Downside, no Max hp, but it does at least have overpower on it. My resource issues are because im running a focus instead of shield (i dont have one with max hp on it) and the focus has the attack speed on core skill crit (accellerating) which is allowing me to blood surge at light speed so I am resource dumping in a way that i have no words for >_< Its pure comedy for me doing it this way and im having so much fun
I just swapped to this build from a bone storm and damn! this is WAY much better lots more damage and life regen.
Have been running my own blood surge build since start of S1 and have had a blast. 76 and can solo t44 but looking to optimize. Really like the idea of the lucky hit stun aspect combo with the 2 other aspects. Is it possibly worth using the heart that gives decrepify and and using the iron maiden with the 50%dmg aspect and not putting decrepify on toolbar?
If i do blood surge than i for sure want to use the unique amulett. Though im unsure how to properly build it. Still have my blood lance necro so in regards to gear i dont need to change much there.

Untimely Death has a funny mechanic, when unequiped potting at full life says 'im full' while equiped it just keeps on drinking. Wouldnt potion drop chance be better then resource on lucky hit? Since umbral with tendrils refills quite good already?

You don't have skill points for Corpse Explosion, and the damage wouldn't really help you.

Just annoy when come to end boss it take loooong time to kill, anyway actually your build let me challenge like around 25 level ahead mobs, maybe this the reason that kill boss take time, but normal mobs or elite just nice, thinking way to improve damage dealt, as my previous job was lighting soc and lighting soc damage is too high if compare to blood surge 😂

I have such a love-hate relationship with this build. When the mobs are flowing, it puts a big grin on my face every time. It's almost absurd how good it is. When you have a bunch of ranged enemies or low density, it just feels so clunky. The game is still just so inconsistent with the flow of enemies. Hope they continue to improve there.
Does execute on injured enemies proc barber as in full health explode? Or am i missing something?

Has anyone else retried Blighted Corpse Tendrils recently? I whacked it back on my build last night and it does appears to be generating blood orbs again. It it was fixed it was done very quietly... 🤔

What about Deathspeaker Pendant? Is there a build that works or is blood surge only useable while sacrificing all minions?
It’s totally works. I’ve been running blood surge summoner for a my whole time in season so far, and I’m easily destroying up to t50 on my 81 necro so far. Deathspeaker and Mothers Embrace are the two uniques I use. Doing a pseudo thorns version with Razor plate as well that has trash mobs almost killing themselves hitting me once. Plus thorns triggers lucky hit, whether it’s on yourself or minions. I can even link my build that I slapped together on Maxroll that is a combo of Macro’s blood lance paragon route and another UA-camrs blood surge summoner build. Had to redo the boards after finding out the other guy didn’t know what actually affects overpower damage.
Yes it works.. I have tried it for blood surge if overpower triggers, all attacks triggers... I.e. 1st life drain, 1st nova and 2nd nova [Blood-bathed aspect] + minion mini nova from Deathspeaker's Pendant = 3 from hero + no. minion. So if u are near the boss together with 4 Reapers would be 7 overpowered attacks hitting the boss.

Does the bonus dmg from the number of mobs drained affect overpower? The bonus 50% if there are 5 mobs nearby... I have been trying to test it but it seems it doesnt affect OP dmg.

Hi Mcrobioboi, why dont 1.1.1 patch notes speak about blood orbs not working with corpse tendrils since 7/26/23? Im about to play and see if it is fixed BUT patch notes say nothing about it.... GREAT videos!

I have tried it, it is fun... Im using his build w some variations. I didnt use Sacrifical aspect and I put blood bathed on gloves. I swapped out the audacity aspect with Blood Getter for 2 more skeletal warriors. I sacrificed golem and mages. The good thing is that the mini nova off the mobs uses ur OP dmg if overpower triggers. So if you overpower on Blood surge, u will do overpowered blood surge dmg - 3 from ur hero and 1 from each minion u have. So for me I have 200k overpowered dmg and 6 skeletal reapers. So I do 200k*9. I find it stronger than OP bloodmist to single target if ur warriors are close enough for the echoes to hit it.
Can I make this work on eternal? Ive been working since release on it and other than crit vuln blood surge deals no dmg e.e

I tried every single necro build in season 0 and switched to Druid in season 1 and i want to say the power difference between these two classes is INSANE , Druid is extremely tanky compared to nerco and in the video you are doing tier 71 at level 87 , I am literally speed farming tier 100 on my level 89 druid i really like necro and i hope blizz give necro some love
Ohh yes. Eventually people will realize that if you're not Bone Spear Necro, you're a second class citizen to other classes.

They're just different builds that are better at different things.

Hey so I am super confused on why I see everyone completely forsaken any damage modifiers or skill levels for overpower builds. I do understand that overpower scales from health and fortify times overpower, however I am certain that I saw a formula somewhere that does say that your damage factors in. To verify that I have checked it myself, first I used much weaker weapon and then also took few levels off my blood surge. Obviously normal blood surges hit for less damage but also so did overpower. Where is this notion that blood surge level 1 and grey level 10 weapon gonna hit as hard as level 9 blood surge with ancestral item power 800 weapon coming from? Cause it's simply not the case, also, don't blood echo aspect also overpowers? So Would you not want it to have stronger hit?
It is only the weapon damage has it effects the baseline value of level 1 Blood Lance or Blood Surge, the Level 1 value feeds into the overpower damage calculation.
@@mk_hunting hmm perhaps it was something else then when it comes to levels. Now that I think about it, I removed levels via removing gloves which also had overpower affix on it, so it was likely that.
Watch my last video title starts with Overpower.
With the boss life changes in the next patch. non single target builds will suffer even more.
Just don't do boss dungeons tbh.
Im using dmg to elite instead of crit dmg notes completely forgo bone craft.
Damage to Elite does not increase Overpower damage at all.

If you're not thinking about your barber setup vs your non-barber setup, that is a personal choice. Many things about this build are different to benefit from barber vs non-barber.

It's kind of annoying how you refuse to hit max level or clear a nm 100 before releasing a build video. These aren't proven to be good at all but you claim you've tested. Anything will look good in a nm 38
I can easily clear a NM100 with a full overpower Blood Lance build with face tanking the mobs. Happy to show in game. :)
No offense, but that's a bad take. Really almost any build can clear a nightmare 100 now after they nerfed the difficulty scaling. It was and still is all about kiting a few enemies at a time and rinse and repeating. Doing a tier 100 is not always what validates if a build is good or not. Also he is a content creator and build writer for one of most popular websites, he is trying to generalize a lot and as much as he can to help the more casual person looking for some where to start, while also brushing up on a lot of mechanics and interactions that very few people even veterans have time to or want to do with the spreadsheets and testing for the skills aspects etc.
Agree, but given you do not need the barber or to any kiting at all should show that blood in general is a very viable end game build. But I also get your point on the builds not being showcased properly in some occasions!

I "refuse" to hit level 100 is a powerful assumption. Did tier 99 on stream at level 81 on a 5/10 geared blood Lance build last week. This is a tier 71 Dungeon, nice straw man tho? Sorry only the content you see isn't good enough for you.
If I’m at a lvl 76 blood Lance build with 6k attack power, 7k armor; 12k life, 1080% over power damage, 54% crit chance, 40% lucky hit chance. How am I looking ?

WHy are all the skills the same across all the Characters? Theyre jsut skinned differently lol, basically just a circle around you, or a cone, or a straight line of effect damage. Lol, who are the devs of this trash game lol
