This is an awesome episode of U.S.MARSHALL,with guest star MARTIN MILNER, who went on to star in two classic series,ROUTE 66 & ADAM-12! He also, while struggling as an actor, had two soon-to-be famous fellow actor roommates,DAVID JANSSEN,who went on to become TV's THE FUGITIVE & another up-and-coming actor named CLINT EASTWOOD,who went to star in TV's RAWHIDE! Not to mention a string of spaghetti westerns,"Dirty Harry"films & in most recent years,a movie director! So,for those who scoff at people who struggle & have to start out with humble beginnings, I say, think again! You may end up reaching the top! The sky's the limit!
Notice the marshal turned off the siren when he keyed the mike. Early radios, I hear, used a lot of juice. So did the model 28 Federal mechanical siren under the hood. So something had to give. Oh and that sucker was noiseeeeeeee.
Donna Douglas, it seems to me, appeared as the criminal's girlfriend. Douglas got only a minor credit. The other woman -the waitress received better billing because she had more lines to say in the show. It's odd because Douglas always seemed to have blond hair. Maybe she dyed her hair.
tahoepoet I noticed that myself and I went back through to see if she was there. (Maybe you have done this yourself already.) But as it turns out, she is in there. She just changed her hair color to brunette. She is the girl at 18:37 and if you look at her face real close, you can tell it's her.
A very good episode of "U.S. Marshall," also known as "Sheriff of Cochise."

The worst place you can possibly be in a shootout.....a pipe!
C'mon--y'all oughta be able to pick out Donna Douglas just by her voice. Dagnabbit.
since Martin Milner's character shows up in a '59 DeSoto at 2:17, this episode has to be from the show's 3rd season.

WAS THE OTHER deputy the same actor who played Yancey T ucker on the Waltons ?
Donna Douglas (Beverly Hillbillies' Ellie Mae Clampett) is credited as Joyce Markham at 23:52 but I didn't see her in this episode.
She's probably Joe Savage's girlfriend.
