A Conversation And A Promise: A Resident Evil Story.
It's winter in the year 2003. Chris was never much of a sit in a park on his own and think type of person. But today was one of those days for him. Very outside of character but took the time anyway.
A S.T.A.R S patch in one hand, a cup of coffee in the other sitting and reflecting on his days in the R.P.D. those were some good days. The competitive nature of both him and Forest, but both good friends, fun nights at J's Bar with Jill and Barry and the occasional talk from the voice of reason himself Marvin. Those days were missed. But all of it was gone with a simple touch of a button to completely sanitize a city already lost to horror...
He bears guilt in his heart for not being able to be there and fight... He was never there to witness the horror not the violence of the city, he left after the Manson incident but he can only imagine how it all went down.
"Goddamnit..." he says silently as he takes a sip of his coffee and stares back at the patch of his former unit...
"You okay?" a voice says behind him. He looks back. It's jill, standing over him in a fur coat. "Yeah, I'm good. Just thinking." He says.
Jill sits next to him "how the hell can you sit in the cold"
He smiles gently and says nothing. She sees the S.T.A.R.S in his hand and hold out her hand. He looks at her, and then he hands her the patch.
"Trouble letting go...?" She asks. He looks at her and says "trying to forgive myself." She looks at him with confusion. And then she asks "forgive yourself...? For what...?"
He puts his head down facing the floor, and begins to tear up... Jill has never seen Chris like this, so she lays her hand on his shoulder. "I wish...I wish I was there when it happened... I never should have left, but I did and because I wasn't there to help, so many people died...I could have tried to save someone..." he says wiping the tears from his face...
"Chris, look at me..." Jill says as she puts her hand on his face, guiding his eyes to hers. She then goes on to say "there was nothing you could have done... And none of, not me, Marvin, Brad, none of us saw it coming. And we all fought as hard as we could... This wasn't your fault Chris... The only ones to bear responsibility is Umbrella... And trust me their days are numbered, they'll pay for what they've done..."
She pulls Chris close and hugs him tightly. As the tears intensify, he lets go and starts crying. She whispers "fall apart if you need to... I'll piece you back together... I promise...."
*tear wipe* *sniff* It's beautiful.
@@SparrowEntertainment3Dthank you. I wanted to capture the saddening and heartbreaking moments of each character but let it be met with some kind of hope. I believe that the mental health of these characters should factor into it in a big way and I want to be able to show that side of them.
For me, that winter day in the park, exactly as depicted by you, is now 100% canon.
PS: And I agree, some hint on what goes on inside the characters has always been a nice yet rare touch. Perhaps that's why we were fascinated at the time by trivial one-liners shown when examining a painting in the Spencer mansion, for example. In any case, it has been my reason for choosing this channel's icon.
Nothing better to calm down after a stressful time than some fine Survival Spheres tunes.

The title really nails the vibes honestly. It's very Dark Academy aesthetic but with a lingering hopefulness to it amidst the storms.
In the mid autumn, I'll be leaving my hometown by train to escape and do some thinking about life, I'll be so happy to finally leave! Survival Spheres never disappoints when it comes to alternative save room themes.

Today is my 30th birthday, I have nothing planned, I woke up to a SS upload and it is a beautiful piece. I plan on just sitting in my balcony, listen to this and think about all the shit I have been through these past two years. Thank you brother you have no idea how much I appreciate these themes you put out, it puts me in a trance whether it be good or bad.

I really enjoyed this one! Haven't had much time to listen to anything recently but saw this come up in my feed and thought I'd take it easy for a little while. Wonderful choice of sounds overall, but I think the warm brass synth makes the piece, and the strings in the B section as well. They seem to tie everything together nicely.

This one was made with so much care I can connect with that I don’t even know how to describe it, it’s beautiful. I for some reason imagine Denzel Washington staring out a window watching rain trickle on a tree and his smile fading.
