Eric, does not having the outside brackets stop you from running the wires? Mounting converter? Wiring up the batteries? Mounting breakers and fuses? Securing batteries for travel? installing roof racks? Running wires from roof to converter? Running wires from converter to your breaker box? Installing all the inner panels leaving the unsecureable outside ones for later when you receive the correct brackets? Seems like there are dozens of steps you could be doing before those final brackets arrive? Oh yea and I'm sure god doesn't care if your bus has solar on it or not.....
I think Eric is overplaying the fact that he got the wrong brackets. He can still do all the other things and most likely can do modifications to install the solar panels. It is just that he expects to receive the right stuff the first time and is frustrated that it is not all coming out perfect. No reason to stop the operation it is just an excuse to go off and do other things with his friends. Wayne is smart enough to MacGyver the project and make it work.

@@shibalover54 If you are too broke to afford $100 a month for a place to park with water, trash and black tank dump, then you are too broke to own an RV. That is dirt cheap. We just left Quartzite. The wind was hard but better than the rain from last year. You knew the bus would take longer, it always does. Finish it in the base camp, and do what you can now.
I'm surprised after all the stuff you have already figured out that you can't figure this out. An aluminum shim, rubber, nylon, wood, etc. I have faith in you and Wayne.
I believe Laposa South LTVA has its own water well system. That's why it needs be be shut down for a while so the well can recover back up into the shaft. When less crowded, the well can recover and keep up with the usage.
@ When you say treatment system, do you mean water softener or filter cartridge? You would need to take a sample of your well water to your local health dept. for testing and you would want to draw that sample before any of the treatment/filter systems you have in place.
“Be patient with me guys” as he makes a video pouting like a baby because a company had an honest mistake with what they shipped. So we must be patient, even if he’s allowed to act like a child
that place is overpopulated because of UA-cam and the bus and van movement in general…such is things…more people = more maintenance…be disappointed…go somewhere else…
But it’s what he lives for, ya know he’s only 17 years old and loves his garbage, it must be garbage because he’s always wanting to throw it on the ground ( which by the way is cleaner than his custom bigfeet motor home). lol.
@ oh my goodness Frank-James no… I have nothing to be bitter about sir. If I wanted what he had/has I’d have it too! But we are all able to have our own opinions for whatever reasons that may be. But thank you for letting me know you think that I’m bitter, I will try to be clearer in the future. Have a great weekend 😊.
My wife and I had plan to come to you and Diane meet and greet but we got food poisoning the day before. we were very disappointed we have watched your channel through the years we like you and enjoyed seeing you happy when Diane came into your life Eric Don’t get discouraged it seems it’s the way of life anymore when it comes to getting parts, service etc it’s something we all have to deal with On our way down from Oregon we sprung the leak in our freshwater holding system so we were unable to boom dock at Quartzise so we continued to Yuma and we’re going to wait until we get back to Oregon in April before we fix it. If you come down to Yuma for supplies maybe we can meet up if you Ed and Anne
I miss your travel videos. All work and no play is no fun and boring. Unforeseen delays happen in construction all the time for whatever reason, it is what it is. Your vision for the bus will come to fruition eventually and will be worth the wait so cheer up! Think positive thoughts. 🥰
Shim under the brackets with some wood scraps for temporary fix of permanent you can shim with Aluminum square tubing the size you need. Plenty of work to do, but maybe you're jusf getting burnt out
Those brackets are all over Amazon, LaPosa south is much more packed then last year and so is Plamosa Rd, The tent was packed day one, just not later in the week.
Life does tend to throw curveballs when we make plans… Don’t get too discouraged Eric…… You’ve dealt with much worse…. I sure hope your solar plays out better…… Diana sure has kept you smiling too…… Say HI to Wayne…. We’re still on phase one of turning our mundane domestic life into an adventurous nomadic one….. If it wasn’t for you, and the mistakes and accomplishments you’ve documented, we wouldn’t be doing this in our 60s…. Much Respect to you and your crew!!! Miss Jax!!!
Hang in there honey. Things will work out. Trust the process. Let’s go for a ride and take a breath away from work. I say no videos for a week and take some you time.
................... Don't apologize !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's not your fault. This glitch really messes up a LOT ...... and many people won't understand ....... This setback affects a lot more than we realize. Hang in there. Take some tie off and park it for a while and you all just discuss how you'll handle this hurdle. Please keep us posted !!!!!!!!!!!!! We're rooting for ya !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My goodness Eric you needed to play some sad sad sad violin music in the background. I think you have lived in a bubble for a few years! Don’t you know what’s happening in the world and what you’re complaining about is pathetic! Just my opinion.
Oh Eric, friend...ya know, I have been trying to get into van life ever since I got my van and I have had so many delays...so I do what I can, like taking last minute trips down to the Q to meet my favorite youtuber (you)! lol, I would do exactly what you said...take a break or whatever you need to. I loved meeting you guys and for all those hating on Eric, I don't know why you do it. We all have struggles and frustrations w/things in life and yes, there are worse (and better) situations a person can be in. He was not whining about anything, he was being open about how he's feeling about being frustrated...if you don't understand that, maybe your filthy rich or something, I don't know...I know what it feels like to feel cursed, so I emphasize. And btw...Eric is awesome! After meeting him in person and him being so nice to me, even walking me to his RV to meet the kitties (kinda far from the party area) and being a great host and perfect gentleman, ya'll who bad mouth him have NO IDEA who he is or wtf you are talking about, quit being negative, show some damn empathy/compassion and just enjoy the channel...geesh!
@lindatemple5454 yeah I don't get why everybody hates on Eric he's one of the nicest guys I've met... Such a gentleman and very nice... And it didn't seem fake at all he's very genuine... And Diane was nice too... I had a great time! I cannot believe I got a private walk with him to go see the kitties! It was just a really awesome experience! Haters need to quit hating, they should just watch and enjoy and quit being so judgmental.
The solar brackets appear to mount the panels to the roof frame, why should that delay your build? The roof frame can be mounted, then finish inside ceiling. When the correct brackets are received mount the panels to the frame. Or you can add spacers in between the panels and the brackets you have.
Life sometimes can be like an outhouse ,full of ..........Get my drift ????????Almost 85 ,wearing boots to tread thru many rough times. So put on your boots and keep on keeping on !!!!! Tough times never last, tough people do . Grandma H 🐈⬛🐈😉
Eric, you have been really sick and pushing to get your bus done. Maybe it is time to take a break from the bus...travel somewhere you have loved and get some rest. ❤ Dont Quit. 🐱🐈🌲🌲🏝🏝
Hang in there, Eric! I've been disappointed many times through the years. If I plan something, thats when something goes wrong..lol I thought this bus was a side project and wasn't a rush. It will all come together eventually. Until then, kick back, relax, and take a road trip and enjoy life!! The bus will always be there, and waiting! 😊 hugs to you and the kitties! ❤
Hi Eric met you at the meet and greet. The show at the Big tent was disappointing, not one camera security system for show or sale but a ton of non related to Rv stuff! Also two possible choices , doesn’t Solar Bills make and sell custom panel brackets??? Or Wayne could fabricate some from some aluminum stock !! Stay positive, Traveling Robert looks up to you that in its self is uplifting! Your friend Spider !
We went on Sunday and Thursday, and the lots were all full and they were parking in Tyson Wash. The show always tapers off by the end of the week, It’s a little easier to get around. The LTVAs had full dumpsters when we left yesterday morning, but they were taking one away.
Eric you hit on the head when you started your talk in the bus. This country is hurting. Many, many people are about broke or are broke. You can't spend what you ain't got. This is country wide, no world wide.
Ok. Not the ideal solution but a option to think about. Appears the top of the mount is 10mm / approximately 3/8” from your panel frame. You could possibly drill a hole in the flange on the mount like the bottom flange and use a 1/2” long bolt to press down on the panel. To keep the project from stalling.
If all the other hardware arrived, you have plenty of work to do while waiting for the brackets. Lots of wiring to install, batteries to mount, inverter, charge controller, solar rails, etc. Don’t let a minor issue derail your entire project, and cause you to have a meltdown. Life is full of challenges. How you deal with them defines who you are.
Eric, many well wishes from Oregon! Jeez, everyone is commenting so brutally against someone venting frustration. Drafting and building is always at the mercy of Murphy's tricky law. That bastard favors such projects. Some days are great while others can be disastrous. You've been sick and even creating, editing, and posting videos(in the middle of everything.) One shouldn't be attacked for their feelings of being defeated or discouraged. Sometimes, a little R&R does help one realize they just needed a short brake to reset and recharge. It isn't a race to build your dream. Take your time to enjoy the process and try not to feel pressured to rush a finish for the sake of other's convivence or entertainment.
At least you should be able to set up the frame work for the solar panels while you wait for the correct brackets. By putting a shim (wood) in to hold the panels to get placement you should be able to start the solar install. Take a break and have a Keystone, you seem pretty bummed.
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Seen you at meet n greet at the tent but you guys started walking away before we could say Hi. Someday we will meet you. Still need to catch up with Wayne also but we have been working at the tent for the whole time and yes the attendance is down this year. See you down the road.
This might not be the video to comment on your grey beard. Looks surprisingly good, but it reminds me how long I have been watching you. From the first video as a young kid in college, acting in plays, playing guitar, living in a van. Maybe you had just graduated, it was a long time ago. Keep the chin up buddy, keep that young lady happy, I've been through a few, and she seems like the real deal, you have come a long, long, way.
Eric, you had me laughing at the subtle way you told us that the solar company sent you the wrong brackets after you waited so long (4 weeks?) for the package to arrive. You touched a nerve with me. I, along with many of my friends are dealing with similar issues. Not only are we all cash poor due to inflation, but we can't seem to get reliable service for anything these days.
Eric , I have been watching your videos for years . I have done some RV traveling in the past . You have always been a pleasant , entertaining and funny in so many cases . I am staying tuned to the bus build . It’s going to be so nice . A true house on wheels. Take care ! Brother
Looks like you need a 3/8" spacer. Like EPDM spacer. I would do like 1/2" so it has good compression. Or get Z-bar like from mcmaster 7062T33. and cut it on the saw you got. There is always a solution.
I didn't realize until that meet & great what a trip celebrity must be with lines of people waiting to talk to you and make friends. It must be weird. People feel they know you but you don't know us. Thanks for doing it. Best on your travels & bus build.
I stared watching you a long time ago because Traveling Robert mentioned you in his video. You have done a lot on your business quickly! A lot of people take a long time to complete them. Yes take a break and have some fun
I’m sure sorry your going through a tough spot right now Eric. I’ve seen every vid you’ve made from the beginning. I’ve said this before n I’ll say it again, something I’ve been so impressed about you is your ability to find your way around the roadblocks you face n improve your life n be even happier in life. Maybe taking some time to jump in the Bigfoot n travel a bit is the right thing to do 🤷🏼♂️ No matter what you decide I’m sure it will work out, I got faith in ya bud👍 As always I’ll be looking forward to your next vid. Thanks Eric
The only thing we can control is our attitude and response to difficulties. Yes, the world is going through challenges and likely due for it. May the rays of sunshine enter your life soon Erik.
Hang In There, things will get better. Sometimes we all have bumps in our lives make us remember the good times, we regroup and take off again. So please remember you had that bad cold, which wore you out. So maybe some traveling is the way to go. Just to see new things and people; when you return you will get ready again. Take care my friend!
What doesn’t break you makes you stronger. Life goes on and you get stronger every time. It’s normal to have problems in life. Life isn’t always perfect.
Well, there's always a reason for delays. In the past, I've been upset over delays that caused me to be late. Not the same what you're going through. But, my delays ended up saving my life several times. Maybe you could paint the outside of the bus. I saw on another channel law enforcement has been pulling busses over that were not repainted yet and they weren't nice about it. Just saying. Try not to be discouraged. I know you're a planner and like to be productive. But this delay could be a blessing in disguise? Blessings - Teri/AK
....pulling busses over in Arizona and ticketing the driver, including accusations of not wearing a seatbelt. One driver had a camera to prove he was wearing a seatbelt. Be careful.
Eric, it's not bad luck or a curse it's just today's incompetent workers and there is a reason why you got a "good deal". It is a sign your suppliers hire cheap labor. Just hope that there are other suppliers of parts if needed repairs in the future because your supplier may not be in business. Sorry this has happened.
Ahhhh! Diana! Your macrame cover up is so stinking cuuuute! Also, that food looked so yummy! The meet and greet was fantastic, I’m so grateful yall invited us!!! We love you both so much ❤
Others complain that you're complaining. Personally though I appreciate the updates even the negative ones. We need to know this stuff. Especially the lack of water and being sent to the dump. I spent some time at Tyson wash and there weren't nearly the people that are usually there. The good thing with the big tent were the samples. Especially those dips with the pretzels.
Hey Eric first sorry to hear that your having material issues with the bus build but don’t get discouraged it will all work out. On another note I am having trouble finding the website for the RV LED Lites company you showed in the video
The delay is your sign to go play with the kitties. 😻Opie needs attention. He didn't look good last time on camera. Is he still throwing up? That boy needs a good brushing and all need lots of water. Go enjoy Diana and your fur babies.
Hello Eric, man keep you head up brother, thinks can always be worse. Look where you came from with next to nothing! Have you tried solar Bills in Quartzite? I would have been happy at the big tent with no crowds . I know I have gotten discouraged with my coach , if it wasn’t for bad luck I wouldn’t have any, lol. Keep on going forward, thinks have a way of working out! Thanks for sharing. 😎
In all DIY's & projects, when it comes to ordering materials & such, snafus will & shall happen...build burnout will happen....but gotta roll with dem punches & find alternative solutions if things has to be done on a tight schedule.
I believe when no one shows up next year in the lpva’s due to fees most will go out into the free areas and it will get trashed then they will start charging for a permit just to get on land that technically belongs to Americans..
Sounds like a break is needed. Go travel before things go haywire and then come back and re set your think8ng. It's green a l9ng winter and with the fires and very cold weather been keep8ng people away. Chin up doing good. Glad you are feeding better too.😅
Keep up the good work! It was great to meet all of you. We all have been through the momentum swings. Just know that pendulum always swings back to the positive side. I appreciate the content, thank you.
Good video. Hang in there Eric it will get better. For things out of a person's control all you can do is smile, suck it up, deal with it and move on. Tomorrow is another day. Get up, get dressed and embrace the day.
I have heard a lot of people who comment there are very little RV stuff - more like a home show. I have to agree. And the lack of RVs for sale. I was looking for the people that sell those solar awnings that was there last year - but weren't there. Wonder if they bombed. Some vendors tell you election year is always down. But I also know from chats many thought the price went up this year so decided to go elsewhere.
Hang in there Eric, You've got a lot going on and happen. Hopefully you will find some diversions to distract you. You can make plans as you go, take advantage of your situation and lifestyle! Not everyone has the flexibility and options you have. Take Care.
Maybe you just need a good break from working so hard on the bus. It would be super frustrating for anyone and you deserve a rest and some relaxation , you will recover and come back strong 😀
Try to hang in there . What about the Bigfoot? Are there things that need to be done. So you can go on that trip? It would keep your mine on something else. While you want for the solar parts
I haven't seen a video from you in years, I thought you went on to some other endeavor. Friendly advise, watch those carbs and sugar, they will sneak up on you and harm you very badly. Good Luck.
Hang in there, Eric. This, too, shall pass, and before you know it, you'll be back working on the bus full speed ahead. There are so many things that are out of our control, but I think that you have the right attitude to just keep driving on.
Take the bull by the horns and deal with it. You are an adult or not?

We just left Quartzite. The wind was hard but better than the rain from last year. You knew the bus would take longer, it always does. Finish it in the base camp, and do what you can now.
I'm surprised after all the stuff you have already figured out that you can't figure this out. An aluminum shim, rubber, nylon, wood, etc. I have faith in you and Wayne.
Buy a piece of square aluminum tubing and cut piece for shims on those brackets and carry on.
👍👍👍
man up Eric! this IS your solution!
Or even aluminum flat bar!
Shim the panels and then swap the brackets out when the correct ones arrive...
Big White Tent has brackets
The water department in Quartzsite can only produce so much water a day! They prioritize business and residence! 😮
I believe Laposa South LTVA has its own water well system. That's why it needs be be shut down for a while so the well can recover back up into the shaft. When less crowded, the well can recover and keep up with the usage.
@ I’m curious…. I have a Well at my house and I still have a treatment system in my basement. They say it’s potable water, do they Filter, Test…….IDK
@ When you say treatment system, do you mean water softener or filter cartridge? You would need to take a sample of your well water to your local health dept. for testing and you would want to draw that sample before any of the treatment/filter systems you have in place.
A lot of the Canadians didn’t go south this winter with the clowns BS that’s why the big tent is slow
Smart people from Canada.
Very true.
“Be patient with me guys” as he makes a video pouting like a baby because a company had an honest mistake with what they shipped. So we must be patient, even if he’s allowed to act like a child
Chin up man,you could be Sarasota Tim😂
that place is overpopulated because of UA-cam and the bus and van movement in general…such is things…more people = more maintenance…be disappointed…go somewhere else…
That food looks terrible
But it’s what he lives for, ya know he’s only 17 years old and loves his garbage, it must be garbage because he’s always wanting to throw it on the ground ( which by the way is cleaner than his custom bigfeet motor home). lol.
@@jamesfrommanitoba.1992 you sound bitter.
My wife and I had plan to come to you and Diane meet and greet but we got food poisoning the day before. we were very disappointed we have watched your channel through the years we like you and enjoyed seeing you happy when Diane came into your life Eric
Don’t get discouraged it seems it’s the way of life anymore when it comes to getting parts, service etc it’s something we all have to deal with
On our way down from Oregon we sprung the leak in our freshwater holding system so we were unable to boom dock at Quartzise so we continued to Yuma and we’re going to wait until we get back to Oregon in April before we fix it. If you come down to Yuma for supplies maybe we can meet up if you
Ed and Anne
I miss your travel videos. All work and no play is no fun and boring. Unforeseen delays happen in construction all the time for whatever reason, it is what it is. Your vision for the bus will come to fruition eventually and will be worth the wait so cheer up! Think positive thoughts. 🥰
Simple fix .... JB Weld a spacer to the bracket. You can pick up the aluminum needed at a welding slop. Simple, simple, simple.

God has nothing to do with it. It's people's bad choices. Hang in there
What a crybaby.
Stop watching him and go over to that fool Blind Views !!
Need to get a grip. All that sulking over a couple of brackets.
I sure hope your solar plays out better…… Diana sure has kept you smiling too……
Say HI to Wayne…. We’re still on phase one of turning our mundane domestic life into an adventurous nomadic one….. If it wasn’t for you, and the mistakes and accomplishments you’ve documented, we wouldn’t be doing this in our 60s….
Much Respect to you and your crew!!! Miss Jax!!!
Your going to end up selling the bus
Hang in there honey. Things will work out. Trust the process. Let’s go for a ride and take a breath away from work. I say no videos for a week and take some you time.
Love that support ❤ This is what really matters!!!
................... Don't apologize !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's not your fault. This glitch really messes up a LOT ...... and many people won't understand ....... My father used to say sometimes the cheap turns out expensive. He was a wise man.
@@lauraslanesvanlifetravels - Well said 👏👏
@lindatemple5454 yeah I don't get why everybody hates on Eric he's one of the nicest guys I've met...
@ - Glad you got to meet them both. Just wish comments were more kind and helpful or just don’t watch the Chanel. Have a great week.
@ agreed...I've read even MORE horrible comments...geesh! Judgemental much? smdh
You too, have a great week.
I was at the big tent on weds and it was bodies on bodies... just like last year and the year before etc.
The solar brackets appear to mount the panels to the roof frame, why should that delay your build? The roof frame can be mounted, then finish inside ceiling. When the correct brackets are received mount the panels to the frame. Or you can add spacers in between the panels and the brackets you have.
What he said.
Attendance reflects the economy.
I would shim the wrong bracket or mock it with some solution and exchange the bracket later.
Don’t forget to eat The greenstuf Eric !
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Seen you at meet n greet at the tent but you guys started walking away before we could say Hi. Someday we will meet you. Still need to catch up with Wayne also but we have been working at the tent for the whole time and yes the attendance is down this year. See you down the road.
Spacers under the panel, use firm rubber, will reduce vibration.
I remember that too when he was so young starting out. It's been fun watching him & his channel over the yrs.
Best on your travels & bus build.
cinnabun with bacon?!!? wtf is wrong with people?!?!
That sounds good 🤤I’m stoned
Smoking to much herb
Bingo.
Ahhhh! Diana! Your macrame cover up is so stinking cuuuute! Also, that food looked so yummy!
The meet and greet was fantastic, I’m so grateful yall invited us!!! We love you both so much ❤
Thank you. We love you more
Others complain that you're complaining.
The dumpsters are full of demolition debris from the bus builds lol
Overcome Life's Obstacles by: improvising, modifying, and adapting. Or as they say: Life gives you lemons - make lemonade!
Crap happens… just roll with the flow… out of your control…
I think for the Big Tent, everyone was at the Florida RV show. It was packed more than before.
I would love to meet both of you one day. Keep up the great work and your UA-cam content is fabulous.
It's all good. Try to keep your head up. Definitely frustrating when things don't go as planned
In all DIY's & projects, when it comes to ordering materials & such, snafus will & shall happen...build burnout will happen....but gotta roll with dem punches & find alternative solutions if things has to be done on a tight schedule.
Hey, look at all of the things going well 😊 We all have our down times, better times are ahead!
I believe when no one shows up next year in the lpva’s due to fees most will go out into the free areas and it will get trashed then they will start charging for a permit just to get on land that technically belongs to Americans..
😅
Sounds like a break is needed. Go travel before things go haywire and then come back and re set your think8ng. It's green a l9ng winter and with the fires and very cold weather been keep8ng people away. Chin up doing good. Glad you are feeding better too.😅
Cancel the order. Go somewhere else?
Certainly there is a ton of other things to be done till you get the brackets figured out? Keep moving!
Get in touch with POTUS Trump Administration and ask them to stop the BLM rates going up! 🙏🇺🇸🙏
Keep up the good work! It was great to meet all of you.
We all have been through the momentum swings. Just know that pendulum always swings back to the positive side. I appreciate the content, thank you.
Everything is about Almighty God 🙏 everything. Get into him!! WOW! What a blessing you will receive!! God bless you!!
Sometimes delays allows you to become aware of something else that you may not have noticed!
Everyone has a bad period. Focus on the positives.
Wh a time a batch I'm done watching
I haven't seen a video from you in years, I thought you went on to some other endeavor. Friendly advise, watch those carbs and sugar, they will sneak up on you and harm you very badly. Good Luck.
Hang in there, Eric. This, too, shall pass, and before you know it, you'll be back working on the bus full speed ahead.
There are so many things that are out of our control, but I think that you have the right attitude to just keep driving on.
