- Get behind the console with me as I mix our quarterly young adults TOGETHER NIGHTS. This service was mixed on a Digico Quantum 225 with Waves. Usually you would be hearing my cue mix, but something went wrong with the recording, so instead you get to hear my backup stream send. Nice mix-- are you doing any special routing to the online/recording or is this your straight FOH mix. Also dude the camera on your head is making me woozy.
HAHAHAHA my apologies. I usually try to break it up with some static shots, but I wasn’t able to spend too much time on my setup for this night.
To answer your question, I usually still run my master off the board to our ableton broadcast rig on a simplified template. It blends a little bit of crowd mics in, adds a slight v shape eq to the chain, and playlist rider to keep it at -14 LUFS for UA-cam. It’s not perfect, but it’s passable when we don’t have a broadcast engineer.
Is the auto-leveler controlling the balance between the mix and the room mics? or is it controlling levels for all inputs?
Sorry should have clarified, it’s just playlist rider on the bus leveling the whole mix out to -14 LUFS.

Yes. Once we realized it, it took us a few seconds to get it off. We pretty much had the same reaction you did. "Dude. . . .is that a SPIDER WEB on the camera??!!!"
