Jones is such an underrated trash talker, that 'DX suck it' was the perfect call back to force DC to remember his first fight with Jones after he did that to him after the 5th round of being dominated, making DC relive that pain of losing and getting him emotional without having to say a word

He definitely has earned it in Jones's absence. He put on 2 great performances against 2 fuckin animals in the weightclass! At the end of the day, it's Jones's fault for losing the belt in the first place. DC wasn't the only one who had the opportunity to have the belt but he's the only one who was able to win and defend it. so yea, he definitely deserves it imo.
Chris P4 Well, when they come together a second time we will see if he really deserves it, or if he will just remain second place in the LHW division forever.
Jon jones wasn't even fully absent because of the law nor was he ever removed from the LHW division. This was a quick play move by the ufc just to save face. DC being gifted another title shot out of technicality from being in second place doesn't make him a true Champion. Just like Matt Hamill truly didn't earn defeating jon jones in that fight but it being a silly technicality.
DC even brought his interim belt with him.
Jon has incredible charisma. No question.

Back in the day, there were no good strikers in his division so he had no problems in outstriking them. Look at his last fight, where even bisping gave it to him. And dont forget his first fight with chael, who later said jones is better then anderson.

So Jones gets the belt taken away from him and you expect DC to not claim the belt after demolishing Rumble - and then decisively beating a very tough Gustafsson? Saying he should retire? calling him fat? DC has completely dominated all but 2 of his opponents in the octagon and easily one the top 5 fighters in the ufc and ya'll disrespecting him like that? You should be thankful he is there to at least give Jones a good challenge. Nobody else at LHW could beat him.
