Hell yeah. I'm the guy who seems to be slowing going down hill than going back up it due to a lack of both skill and courage. Never seen without a massive smile though.
Yeah that's me. Because I really could give two snorts if you think I am a "real" mountain biker or not. I'm not out there to impress you or anybody else, just have fun on my bike. Crazy concept.
I am a mountain biker....also a skier... i like style and jumps even though im not good at the big ones... dont like going fast that much and focus on the flow aspect and creativity and unlimited possibility of the endless lines to choose. basically like surfing but with a bike.
I'm the dude who has no real idea what he is doing but somehow getting down almost everywhere with at least ok pace - but absolutely loving every second of it.
I'm that type of mountain biker that doesn't ride anymore. Don't have the time, desire or money anymore to keep doing it. But it's fun to watch the videos
I would say im kind of an everest guy, sort of. I prefer the downhill over the climb, but i do really enjoy the satisfaction of cresting the top of the hill, taking a few minutes to relax and enjoy the scenery
I'm a soon 60 years old Mount Everest and I use my Specialized SL with the engine on just for those clime that you have to lead a analog bike. I been out for a 80km ride that took me 5 1/2 ours and 60% battery still left. Nice with a shower and some food😋
I'm the old guy. Grew up biking and rediscovered it in my 40's with my kids. Now I'm 52 and fall to realize I'm not as fit as I was not do I hell like I used to. Not a dentist but own an almost dentist bike.
I'm definitely someone towards the end. The e-bike comment made me laugh! I've got to have a massive climb in a ride or else it's not worth going out. And when I get overtaken by an e-biker, the comment comes out again! And Blake is definitely the speed demon type...
Ha ha I think I might be a little bit of all of them. Sometimes I’ll hike-a-bike to the top to focus specifically on downhill speed and cornering technique and optimize fun for that day. Sometimes I’m try to link the most difficult climb lines for the challenge of clearing them all and pain tolerance training. Sometimes I’ll go out to just session corners and switchbacks until I feel I’ve mastered certain sections of trail to optimize flow and intuitive movement on the bike. I guess I’m an mtb omnivore!
I’m more of the “I’m dying because I’m horribly out of shape so I stop at every junction and chat with other to help me forget that I not only suck, but also am hurting” kind of guy.
I'm the ex BMX rider that tries to treat a mtb like a 20" lol. I also purchase parts constantly looking for that magical setup that'll never actually be magical.
I think the closest to me is the Bunny Bouncer. As I'm crap at bunny hops. I can't do trials. Speed, meh. Ruts scare the crap out of me. As I don't usually ride then. Eat like a horse. Scare to go to the beach incase Greenpeace Try to get me "back" into the water.
Dont worry everyones been there. Just practice getting your front end up. Tons of videos with Blake and crew. Youll get it , and dont ditch the english hop its great for pivots and repositioning where your bike is going to go. No shame in being a newbe . Basics will make you a better rider than the talkers in no time.
Fun to see different types of bikers, what type am I? No idea! Just like attempting to ride better and not crash! 😂, thanks for sharing Blake and GMBN 😁🤙
None of these. I am riding my bike on natural trails in a rather moderate tempo, just enjoying the mastery moments when it gets technical, and other than that just enjoying nature. Still feel like a noob, even if I am rather old, and have gone MTBing and EMTBing for five years now.
None of those. I just want to have fun and not break any more bones. I dream of one day being able to bunny hop and hit any jump or drop with full confidence.
This is a bit like asking what someone's religious or political affiliation is. I identify as a water bottle. Only useful if I manage to stay on the bike. Formless, shapeless, and cagey. Gets lost in rock gardens and prefers rolling down hills. Can be used to clean wound's or drive trains interchangeably. May sometime feel like a burden to keep track of on the trail, but when needed, your happy you remembered to bring me. Pairs well with snacks, and may sometimes contain alcohol. And even off the trail, easily recognizable as an accessory to cycling. Possibly wanted for questioning related to the murdering of difficult trail sections.
I see Blake has kept up his practice of the back hops from Martyn’s trials academy! 🫡🥰. #petalbreak Edit: Blake admit it…a few co-workers who shall remain nameless inspired this video…hmmmm? 🤔🫣
What type of mountain biker are you?
Downhill
Crasher
I'm the one sat at home watching other people riding bikes whilst thinking "I could do that easily"
I usually start the conversation with something like; "my elderly mother could pop higher..."
So yeah I ride alone mostly 😁
I'm a wheezy leaky bagpipe on the climbs and jessy-lever loving wimp on the downs.
I'm the noob who's only been on 4 rides and has no f****** clue what they're doing but is loving every second of it
🤝
heck yeah lol
Hell yeah. I'm the guy who seems to be slowing going down hill than going back up it due to a lack of both skill and courage. Never seen without a massive smile though.
None of the above, love the beauty of the countryside, and being off road , chilling is key.
I'm the one jumping everything but still can't do a bunny hop
never seen something so real
Same 😂
Hitting the flow trails all day without having any real idea on how to jump.
Yeah that's me. Because I really could give two snorts if you think I am a "real" mountain biker or not. I'm not out there to impress you or anybody else, just have fun on my bike. Crazy concept.
Its me but in my mind im flying
Yup that's me...
I am a mountain biker....also a skier... i like style and jumps even though im not good at the big ones... dont like going fast that much and focus on the flow aspect and creativity and unlimited possibility of the endless lines to choose. basically like surfing but with a bike.
Omg I sound so much like Mount Everest! 😂
I'm the guy with beefy dirtbike gear, but riding eazy flow trails only, because I just started MTB.
Literally me 6 years ago lol idk how I didn’t get heat stroke
I'm the dude who has no real idea what he is doing but somehow getting down almost everywhere with at least ok pace - but absolutely loving every second of it.
This was too funny! I am somewhere between muscles with eyes and mount everest. LOL!
I'm that type of mountain biker that doesn't ride anymore. Don't have the time, desire or money anymore to keep doing it.
But it's fun to watch the videos
00:28 okay...that could have been an awesome intro
I’m the type that likes descents and fast flowy trails that likes my riding gear to be coordinated and my bike to have the right equipment.
I've just about learned how to go forward. Pretty pleased with that so far ...
I would say im kind of an everest guy, sort of. I prefer the downhill over the climb, but i do really enjoy the satisfaction of cresting the top of the hill, taking a few minutes to relax and enjoy the scenery
Same
Where’s the hardtail Blakey?
Muscles with eyes for me 😂😂
I'm the lunatic giving high fives to all the nettles coming down the overgrown trail
I'm a big climbing fan. yeah most aren't but what can I say I get a lot of satisfaction out of tackling hills.
I suppose I’m the Mountain Pig. 🐷 My line choice invariably involves mud puddles. 😆
Where's the "I only ride park" guy? 😂
I'm a soon 60 years old Mount Everest and I use my Specialized SL with the engine on just for those clime that you have to lead a analog bike.
I been out for a 80km ride that took me 5 1/2 ours and 60% battery still left.
Nice with a shower and some food😋
Track stand, pedal kick, back wheel hop, gap, repeat.
I'm the old guy. Grew up biking and rediscovered it in my 40's with my kids. Now I'm 52 and fall to realize I'm not as fit as I was not do I hell like I used to.
Not a dentist but own an almost dentist bike.
I see myself in Muscles with eyes and Mount (n) Everest 😂
I'm definitely someone towards the end. The e-bike comment made me laugh! I've got to have a massive climb in a ride or else it's not worth going out. And when I get overtaken by an e-biker, the comment comes out again!

i'm the type to tell people to stop believing marketing and buying new stuff, but to make yourself better if you want to be faster.
My Everest for sure. Nothing throws off my climb than being passed by an e-bike.
same here, lol :)
I’m more of the “I’m dying because I’m horribly out of shape so I stop at every junction and chat with other to help me forget that I not only suck, but also am hurting” kind of guy.
The type that wants gmbn to join the year of our lord 2024 and start uploading videos in at least 1440p
Mount Everest first and foremost! Pain is our friend! And of course, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger and forms (forges) your personality.
I'm the ex BMX rider that tries to treat a mtb like a 20" lol. I also purchase parts constantly looking for that magical setup that'll never actually be magical.
Old slow, cant jump, cant bunny hop but push myself to crash frequently, loves ebikes
Blake can do it all!
you're a great comedian
Turns out I’m mount (n) everest? I can live with that.
"stuck in the past" my old frame was fun 15 years ago so its probably still fun? plus a new good bike would cost more than my van
Trying to prove the poseurs wrong. It's important for newbies to have models to follow 😂
I guess I'm a Mount (n) Everest. 😂
I feel like I have a bit of all of them in me, depends on my mood
Didn't see the one who goes mainly for the pub afterwards- we all know this person 😉
I ma supposed to be a Bunny bouncer ... I am just waiting for the tabletop jumps to give me the technique magically...
Speed free my Soul
Am a solo rider.. hard hills and fast downhills....Big Air Time.
Up and down the same dirt road through many potholes.

I'm closest to Mount Everest. I mean, if you're not going to climb at least 1000m on a ride, why do you even bother getting on the bike :)
As an American i just try to be safe and have fun cause i literally cannot afford to get hurt.
None but most likely the rut banger
I'm the lazy e-mtb rider who smokes a joint going uphill while everybody is struggling.
There's another kind, the I've got a 4 pack of beers on my back and I'm going to braver on the way back kind of guy
I'm just a noob
im the xc climber with the friend🤣🤣
Fun to see different types of bikers, what type am I? No idea! Just like attempting to ride better and not crash! 😂, thanks for sharing Blake and GMBN 😁🤙
❤

I'm a shralp hunter and rut banger but I don't ride on low pressure cuz I don't want to be in jail cuz of the pressure police
None of those. I just want to have fun and not break any more bones. I dream of one day being able to bunny hop and hit any jump or drop with full confidence.
cool😊
as i like to say time doesnt lie 😆
The guy that’s barely surviving on gnarly trails

I hate to admit it but closer to the bunny guy though I don't give advice. Can't bunny hop a 29er for the love of god
What about all the gear no idea like me lol
Yeah that's pretty much me. Heavily armored and even heavier on the brakes.
I’m a “Lets dig a new line all day long and maybe ride it in a couple weeks” type… weirdo
First not a bot comment. Let's go.
@@jakebarton7991 ?
GMBN is on top of their comment game, especially if you compare with the competition 😅
Nove of the above😂
I’m the type who thinks he is finally improving until a 12 year old comes flying past !
I own a mountain bike.
.... that's about it.
No technical skills beyond age appropriate balance and a modest amount of stamina.
Don’t mtb enough to know done it twice😂
Mt Everest 😂
Mount Everest 😂😂
Mount Everest all day
I'm not by nature, but by place of living. This fucking Spain is killing me
Gear Snob?
I'm the flow and fly rider. AKA the deer. You obviously forgot about us
I just like riding bikes but not road or gravel.
I think old farts on e bikes are cool but the rest are too wimpy to ride uphill.
Berm rider
I am a old fat man
hardtail guy who can't manual and DOES NOT send high consequence features but is meh at everything else.
I see Blake has kept up his practice of the back hops from Martyn’s trials academy! 🫡🥰. #petalbreak
