    One thing to note, if you ride a naked bike and don’t have good wind protection, the helmet’s chin bar is too close to your face, and the nose piece is constantly being pushed against your nose at freeway speeds. That’s my only gripe with this helmet. Other than that, I love the way it looks and it’s by far the lightest helmet I’ve ever used.

      Yep, same issue here. I bought a medium cause my head is 57cm, maybe even 57.5 but the large felt too big. This fits great, no neck fatigue at all on my gixxer 600 but at about 85-90mph, the tip of my nose just barely touches the front of the helmet. If I do a full tuck it doesn’t do it and under 85mph it doesn’t do it. The reason I bought it is because my neck always hurts after about 3 hours on the bike. Today road from 9:30 am to 4:30pm and about 250 miles, neck doesn’t hurt a bit. It is that light. But it is a touch noiser than others too due to that light weight shell. Overall a great helmet.

      @@flipfinish I took the nose piece out and the problem was solved, but it fogs up a little easier now, but you can solve that with the pin lock shield.

      I sent this helmet (M) back today because of the closeness of the chinbar and nose piece. I wear glasses and they misted up even when breathing lightly. The pinlock won't help speccy bastards. Its a pity ,as the fit was great for me.

    I tend to ride with my face shield opened a little and this helmet does not have that sweet spot that Shoei's and Arai's have. It's either no air or too much air. I loved how light it was but that was a deal breaker for me so I returned it and got an Arai Contour X. Loving it even more after 1000 miles.

    The K6s is absolutely phenomenal. It's my first lid so far and I've spent several hours trying on different helmets. I'm in the Large and it's broken in nicely with roughly 800miles on it so far. It's incredibly light weight. I've had neck injuries in my past and I can ride all day taking while taking little breaks here and there in this helmet. It's absolutely great. Vision is everything it claims to be. The only small issue is that with the face shield up you can see the visor lock in your vision but it's really a non-issue. At speeds the helmet lifts right up and is incredibly solid. It doesn't baffle back and forth or anything. The Pinlock 120 that came with mine is absolutely great. It doesn't fog up at all...ever...so far. I've been in torrential rain in mine and it was fine. I do wear sunglasses in mine. I made sure to buy 'thin' ear ends and it does work but might bother some. It completely solved my problem with sun brightness though. If AGV come out with a transition face shield then I'd be willing to try it out but I personally don't want to be carrying multiple lenses around or swiching them out.
    I personally love my K6s. I will say that I've recently learned about 6D helmets and I might give one of them a try as well.
    My only question I have is what is the best way to clean the removable liner. I've never cleaned one and mine is due for a cleaning.

      @RevZilla  4 місяці тому +1

      One thing to note, the port-hole at the base of the helmets can get slightly narrow or have a tougher shape to get passed (usually to meet retention requirements for safety certifications), you do sometimes have to open the base of the helmet by pulling on the DD-rings to get it over the head of your crown. The internal fitment between the K1 S and K3 are the same, so you might not need to swap brands as much as see if you can get passed the opening and test the real internal fit. We even. see it with professional as MotoGP / SX (etc) racers pull the helmet apart to get it to go on easier. Just something to note and try next time you pick up a new lid.
      Also - we hope you meant 25" in circumference and not diameter. If your head is 25" in diameter, you'd look like characters from Goldeneye on the N64.

      For physical measurement sizing, yes. AGV and Shoei each have unique headshapes that also have to be considered. Since each head is unique, some don't work in some helmets etc. But the physical measurement (CM / Inches) is about the same between the two (each 59-60cm's in Large)

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  28 днів тому

      Spurgeon opens and closes the helmet with one hand numerous times in this video. At the 1:45 mark is a great example of just pressing the button and lifting. Might've been an issue with the specific helmet you had at your local store being damaged? Because it is not a common complaint about the K6 or the K6S that we've heard before, and the helmet has been out for over a year now.

      According to AGV there were no changes needed for the new standard to be met, hence why we didn't mention any.
