True. But Angrybird is spitting facts. Bison is crazy plus, has a monster tool to punish fireballs, great set play, double knee is so safe because of the pushback, has one of the fastest (if not the fastest drive rush), and if you watch Kakeru's arial play then you can imagine all the untapped potential. Bison is really good.

After Bison has been out for a while they'll "decide" that he's b tier cuz reasons.
@@michaelcarrig627 He seems really strong so far. Currently I find him a tougher matchup than Akuma but he’s not been out long yet. Punk took CEO with Akuma though, which is maybe not surprising when you give a character with that fast a walk speed to a player with such good footsies.
Bison has no reversal but his amazing drive rush, normals, damage and aerial game are oppressive. And unlike Akuma, even if you catch a break, the round is far from over.
All in all though S2 is way more balanced than S1 and so far there doesn’t seem to be as big a gap between the tiers. We’ll know more by EVO though for sure.

Exactly. The button would be useless if it wasn't plus. I feel like the slow startup + frame advantage create great balance. I love the strategic implications of having such high risk\high reward button.
@@joshuaellis3295 a high risk, high reward normal would be like akuma's stHK which is very unsafe on crouching opponents and has a 13 frame startup. 19-frame startup in neutral is still strong if you have range and are always plus on block.
19f doesn't matter if it has insane range. Its very hard to outpoke Dictator's s.hp if he space it correctly. Just think about Dhalsim's long range normals, they are slow af and is trash in close range but at a certain distance they are godlike. Dictator pros are going to space their s.hp correctly. Not to mention there's the insane 2mk with insane range and knee press to control neutral.
Imo his s.hp is fine its his other tools that his opponents has to respect and that makes his s.hp more potent.
the range tho, if it was negative but not punishable it’d still be good because of the range but instead you’d have to space it properly to get the real value out of it

He’s top 10 for sure, if you understand the core fundamentals of sf6 you’ll know what differentiates a low tier and a top tier fairly quickly.
@@Mack9077conventional wisdom used to hold that the most consistent thing separating the top tiers from the rest of the cast was whether or not they had an OD reversal...and Bison seems to throw that one out the window.
I also think Bison is incredibly strong and kinda feel like he's overturned but "you can just tell" is a pretty weak way to make your case.

That's why Akuma must have jump back and jump forwards with two air fireballs and invincibility teleport and raging demon should be unstoppable upon punch, kick or jump as minimum buffs.

The recovery frames of shp are also a big factor 17 recovery frames for that long of a range button is strong.
bison's heavy punch is a Blue cancelable not red(training mode). but it cancels into all 3 supers. it's crazy. usually most characters having such normals only cancels to lvl3/2 but not all 3.

Comments are crazy here lol. It's simple - bison is slightly op in 2 areas. His st.hp being plus with huge range. The startup makes no difference if there is no button will reach it during start up. But fine, let him keep that tool since his defense is kind of weak. The main nerf needed is to the scissor kick. Players should have to think about its spacing. The push back is to far. Reduce the pushback on the scissor kick and hes balanced.
If the scissor kick was a charge move, id say leave as is. But an input motion makes it dummy proof. Unfortunately because of stupid modern controls there is only room for 2 charge moves
I play bison and would be totally fine with a scissor kick nerf
I also agree with Angrybird about OD Psycho Crusher. If he’s doing a YOLO gap-closer and I block it, and it’s not punishable, he should at least be in throw range. It makes no sense that he’s outside of throw range when you block that move.
As someone who mained Bison in SF4...I would be fine if scissor became charge again

LOL noobs, you can already see bison players NOT using scissor kicks in topanga and other asian tournaments because he DOES have to space it. There is even a video of someone showing a punish with EVERY CHARACTER if you mess up his spacing by just walking FORWARDS OR BACKWARDS.

@@sm7085 100%, outside of maybe the first week or two at launch. The debate was whether he was was merely top 3 strong but 'fair' or S+++ tier broken OP. It was obviously the former (though toned down now) and not the latter. Now Bison is the s2 version.

@@maganvelemeny8843 yeah, but I don’t expect the same degree of usage as Akuma. Dictator has a very unique tool set, not as brain dead easy as Akuma. In general too, the game is very zoner-unfriendly. Guile is top 5, but his usage rate is way below.

@@dddaaa6965 it’s not about Ken being weak, he’s top 7, top 1 for me lol. It’s the fact that Ken is a SHOTO, which is a traditional archetype. Shotos are supposed to have zoning prowess, at least a bit. Ken doesn’t have that privilege, so yes, Capcom made him a SHOTO who can’t zone - like at all, unless we’re talking full screen, or OD meaty - but that’s not really zoning, is it?

I wouldn’t say he’s top tier but at absolute worst he’s still at A tier. Bison has really good buttons, can 2-touch almost everyone in the roster and has arguably the best mobility in the game

Yeah not super cancellable tho. Can cancel into level 1 etc if they DI verse Bison. At least at their level
ANGRY i noticed a pattern. Only way you beat bison with ken is with OFFENSE and BAIT. Notice how you drive rush poked with kick to bait bison to whiff. Wake up punish is also strong vs Bison. DI and PP also turned around stock in our favour. Basically you MIXED it up alot. You and bigbird sometimes fall into the same trap PATTERNS and in order to beat PATTERNS you were only succefully beating him with MIXED options. i told Bigbird the same thing if you see yourself fall into a PREDICTABLE pattern then start employing bait options and MIX it up.

Are you drunk (as Jamie mains, we often are I guess)? Please look at the most recent patch notes: Jamie was blessed with amazing changes. Difficulties playing him are definitely our own skill issues now and not a problem with the character.

This is a known and widely reported issue: When your opponent highlights M. Bison on the character select screen, Akuma is automatically deleted from the game and can't be played.

Bison always beats shotos. In my opinion, the ex psycho crusher is very cheap. It's safe and plus on burnout. That move is cheap
To answer his question if any other character has plus heavy normals. Akuma's stand fierce kick is +3. There may be more. I haven't played every character. I think he's really overreacting a bit. Both of Bison's plus normals also each have their downsides.
I get what you mean, but Akuma's heavy kick whiffs on crouchers at least.

Bison is a top 3 character in the game right now and he's probably #1. Don't know what you guys are talking about. He has moves that are difficult if not impossible to punish. He has optimal combo routes that reach almost 80% damage. His crouching mp is as good as Luke's and Akuma's. Fullscreen projectile invincible EX Psycho Crusher. Now is not the time to downplay M. Bison.

100 percent agree. The ease and lack of effort with which he wins is ridiculous . Devils reverse is basically free plus frames, you can barely DI it.
Even when I block his scissor kick at close range, Chuns 5LK into lighting legs whiffs.

Top 5? The ability to two-touch without Marisa's inherent lack of mobility. All I'm seeing is Capcom blatantly bringing hype in time for EVO/CC, which they will promptly nerf afterward even if they don't want to, because the FGC will be unhappy at not being able to use the rest of the roster due to one stupidly OP character.

Bison's scissor kick is most def punishable by Low LK into DP or LP into Drive rush combo - all day depending on spacing can get LP into combo (all with Ken)
Unfortunately it takes a literal troglodyte to consistently scuff the spacing on scissor kicks

Bison is back to old school BS. Making him ultra powerful for no reason. Sometimes it feels like Capcom has a thing for certain characters and they just have to be STRONG, no consideration of balance at all. If they don't patch this character, I'm going to take a step back from the game.

MB is a character that doesn’t let you walk all over him. Most of you just want to be able to do whatever you want to do without thinking to get wins. Nothing is wrong with MB. Use your brain 🧠 and get good.

There's no doubt his offence is strong, Bird, but his defence is the worst in the game. He has nothing. His standing HP has a massive startup, so it can't be abused, really. Level 1 is 10 frame startup and can be jab blocked.

I'm playing Bison now. I'm struggling a bit. I'm not sure what your point is. In no way am I implying that I'm even close to the same level as Bird or other pros. You don't need to be great to still enjoy fighting games.
