By far the best performance of this piece I’ve heard!
That was amazing! I set this off as some background music but ended up giving it my full attention complete with headphones. If a performance grabs my attention like this I know it is special and this was special "with knobs on!" Great job.
Tempi sounded right; registration brought out aspects I had not noticed previously. I lost count of the registration changes! But it all fitted together seamlessly. This is my new favourite Widor 5 Allegro.

Organ music has been my great passion for more than 40 years. I thought I had heard almost all the great organists...then came Thomas Ospital...WOW!👍👍
This is THE MOST exciting and nuanced performance of this movement I have ever heard...it almost left me in tears. Thomas: You have captured the 'French' essence of this music and have clearly laid out its structure in your registration and tempo flexibility at important cadences. When you start to add all those glorious reeds your playing changes and becomes fiery and aggressive, as if the reeds are calling out to you. I feel like you have set free the soul of this amazing instrument and given joy to its expression. This is a gift that not even many French organists have. Your performance is truly French in every possible way. Felicitations! Thank you for using the 32' in the 'chorale' variation. Once Americans are allowed in Europe again and the Covid restrictions, I would love to come back to Paris, meet you and take you for a meal. My mother was native French and I'm been to that beautiful country over a dozen times. Thank you!

This is one of the finest performances of this piece I've heard. Bravo, Thomas! I subscribe to all his UA-cam performances and have heard him in performance on tour. He's one of the four or five best in the business today.
Oh I think there are many many more than 4 or 5 like him.
The Sultan of Oman chose this piece for the opening of the magnificent Klais organ at the Royal Muscat Opera House about 20 years ago.

Very colourful and skilled, great clarity and definition of motifs, great liberty taken in tempo.
Outstanding! There’s a fantastic feeling of continuity in this performance despite the myriad changes in registration, keyboards, etc. This sense of continuity is conveyed, at least partly, through clarity of tempo, rhythm, and articulation.
I was on the edge of my seat for the whole piece, bravo!

Oh he misses Many beats, that defines his free treatment of the tempo. It is beautiful though, but I can now not trust his tempo at Any point..

Meus favoritos são os Cavaille Coll, meu sonho é estar aí em Paris também para ouvir os concertos em Saint Sulpice que agora passaram a ser cobrados em euros hehe já pude dar adeus às Lives do Canal do Dub-Attenti hehe. Salut Thomas! J'adore tes interprétations! J'habite au Brésil, mais j'ai eu l'occasion d'assister à 2 de ses récitals à Saint-Eustache, la dernière fois que j'étais à Paris. Dans l'un, vous avez joué La naissance du Seigneur de Messian à Noël 2018! C'était spectaculaire! Alors que je ne peux pas rentrer en France, je suis votre travail sur les réseaux! Merci de partager votre musique, de cette façon notre isolement social est plus léger!

Whoaouuuu!!!! De loin la meilleure interprétation que j’ai entendu de cette œuvre que j’aime particulièrement, j’aimais beaucoup celle du regretté P. Pincemaille jusque là.... mais là, c’est un cran au dessus !! Un tempo juste, et enfin des respirations dans cette œuvre, souvent jouée tellement vite qu’on n’entend plus les nuances, registration parfaite, bref bravo et grand merci !!
