I love that you bring us along on the journey of experimenting. You have reminded me that I need to order some more ink for my trusty old printer. I also need to remember to save my tea bags as I keep forgetting, I put them in a little pot when I remove them from the cup so I am going to pop a sticky note on the pot, saying "save me".
You're garden is beautiful. And I don't mind hearing the sounds in the background, where I am we have lots of shops, cafes, bars and people walking to use them, we also have the tram on the next street, I work from home mostly and I enjoy the sounds of my neighbourhood. I am also lucky enough to live in a building which has a lovely large garden for all the residents to use.

What a lovely view from your window! The printed photographs on the teabags turned out great! I don't dare to try it on my own printer though, mine is not the best quality printer and it doesn't always do what I want 😅. I watch this series in reverse, starting with the last video, because I like to see the end result first 😄!

Thank you for sharing your experience with printing on canvas. It is very timely for me since I will be printing on canvas tomorrow. I am just waiting to receive the canvas paper I ordered. I did buy the type made for ink jet printers. I am really learning a lot from your videos. So helpful since I make plenty of my own mistakes. Meg

Barbara, this is going to be such a gorgeous journal when finished. I had to laugh when you said even number and it was a 5! LOL! Love the button choice too. If I didn’t see you print those photos on tea bags I would’ve thought they were a 100 year old pictures that had been found tucked away in someone’s old chest. They turned out beautifully! Love hearing the birds singing too and church bells. Lovely back garden. I love your view! TFS! ❤

Oo make sure you keep your cardboard roll as they make awesome pattern rollers for Gelli printing. You just cut up pieces or strips of different sizes of foam & glue them on & they create a seamless pattern, no matter how big your Gelli plate is.

Lol yay, cute chipmunk voice 🤘. The wedding pics are awesome! I haven't used them yet. I have to tape my tracing paper/vellum to a sheet of paper to get it through the printer. Crafter's companion had a good printable one but no longer make it 😭. My canvas is inkjet, I have to mount it on a sticky label sheet to it through🙈. Yes it doesn't do detail well. They discontinued my favourite tea to! 🙄. The printed teabags look awesome 😍. Gorgeous view! Looking absolutely gorgeous 😍. Tfs and have a great day 💖💖💖

I have bought a similar tear ruler from Vaessen Creative. They seem to still have it... search for ruler and it will come up. If you search for "tear rules", you only get a few in plastic.

I recently learned how to print on transparent or tracing paper without it jamming my printer. Use a tape runner to tape the edges of the tracing paper on to a piece of regular copy paper and run that through your printer. You can easily remove the tracing paper from the backing copy paper after it’s printed. (I only place the tape in small spots around the edge.) I’ve had great success with this technique…no printer jams, and a great looking end result.

So interesting and so brave! I would have never had the guts to print on the paper with the collaged tea bags!
I wonder if simply collaging the teabags over the ready printed images would give a different effect then the other way round ... except from the color of course as the images would have the "original" color only tinted by the color of the teabags...
Love this journal it is so unique 🤎🤍🤎❤

If you have paper jams with light paper, use some low tack tape to attach it to a normal piece of copier paper to help the printer grab it. Tracing paper is very slippery for printers. At least you can use the prints that didn’t work as a base for some painting

I Love your tea bag collage as the print page. Makes a perfect impression for the photos! BTW, people can buy teabag paper that is flat, not a tebag. I don't have it, and there are a few, but Amazon would be one place to look. Gel printers use them too!

and totally random. 😄 if you haven’t read the Farseer trilogy by Robin Hobb, you really should. 😃 amazingly well written. Interesting characters with psychological depth and a great story to go along with it. I really think you will love it. In some ways I find it better than the A court of thorns and roses books and I really loved that series.❤️

Your bird in the background is so beautiful to listen to 💕 Sounds a bit like the blackbirds we have here In Australia. I wonder if birds have accents & different languages 🤔 I had to look it up & they do indeed have distinct dialects & accents. “While some birds are born knowing how to sing innately, many need to be taught how to sing by adults -- just like humans. Those birds can develop regional dialects, meaning their songs sound slightly different depending on where they live. Think Boston and Georgia accents, but for birds. Just as speaking the local language can make it easier for humans to fit in, speaking the local bird dialect can increase a bird's chances of finding a mate. And, more ominously, just as human dialects can sometimes disappear as the world globalizes, bird dialects can be shaped or lost as cities grow.
The similarities between human language and bird song aren't lost on Molles -- or on her fellow bird dialect experts.
"There are wonderful parallels," said American ornithologist Donald Kroodsma, the author of "Birdsong for the Curious Naturalist: Your Guide to Listening." "Culture, oral traditions -- it's all the same."”
Birds aren't all singing the same song. They have dialects, too
