As a shark biologist, I hold my breath every time someone draws/crafts a shark in any way because any anatomical inaccuracy just further disappoints me about the educational system, but I must say, you have done a FANTASTIC job of making this shark look incredibly accurate. You also correctly identified ALL the fins, I was extremely impressed you knew about the post-anal fin at all. Nice work Adam!

The movie "Jaws" came out when I was 5 years old. My parents wouldn't take me to see it, for some reason, but shark stuff was everywhere and I already loved anything having to do with the ocean, so I became a life-long shark nut. This is my favorite thing you've made so far.

Nice. I am happy how you were quick to identify that the shark was female due to the lack of claspers. While I love the fantastical creatures and ideas (when they are not too creepy/disturbing) I can’t help but feel so happy when artists take that extra time and effort to replicate the anatomy of extant animal species. The only thing that would make this better is if it was one of the lesser known species of shark. Some sharks look exceptionally strange and are even bioluminescence like kitefin and lantern sharks.

This is my favorite project yet, and that's saying a lot! I love Wendy, the glow in the dark was the perfect touch, and the way you did the resin for the radioactive sludge was perfect in the end because it looks more dense than the water the way you've done it, it's the perfect comic book danger mutation ooze. Having her fin come out of the surface was a great decision, I can imagine standing on that gross brick looking into the murky garbage water and going "holy crap there's a giant mutant shark in there" and I can already see the tagline for Wendy's feature film: If the teeth don't get ya, the cancer will. DUN DUN DUNNNNN

I'm not a big fan of sharks (not, not a fan, but it's not one of my rather many "this is my thing" -things), and I definitely don't like dirty anything, yet somehow, out of all of the sculptures I've seen made by this fine fellow, this is in fact one I'd totally find a special, visible place for. There's something almost ethereal about it, and it seems so full of potential. There's no story attached, which means any story could be, and that makes me happy apparently.

funnily enough, the bluish tint of the water when the lights go off is surprisingly realistic, as it indicates the radiation is creating Chrenkov radiation: a blue glow caused by particles traveling faster than light in a given medium. water is also *surprisingly* really good at absorbing radiation. you could swim in a Nuclear Power Plant's nuclear waste processing pool and so long as you didn't die of gunshot wounds trying to jump in and didn't swim down and touch your elbows to the black metallic rods at the bottom or pick anything up, the most you'd notice about your time in the pool is the water is being heated. which is what the Nuclear power plant's main reactor does anyways: Nuclear Energy is, like coal or gas powered powerplants, all about boiling water.

funnily enough, the bluish tint of the water when the lights go off is surprisingly realistic, as it indicates the radiation is creating Chrenkov radiation: a blue glow caused by particles traveling faster than light in a given medium.
water is also *surprisingly* really good at absorbing radiation. you could swim in a Nuclear Power Plant's nuclear waste processing pool and so long as you didn't die of gunshot wounds trying to jump in and didn't swim down and touch your elbows to the black metallic rods at the bottom or pick anything up, the most you'd notice about your time in the pool is the water is being heated.
which is what the Nuclear power plant's main reactor does anyways: Nuclear Energy is, like coal or gas powered powerplants, all about boiling water.
