    Great job! Love this format (for when I haven't the time to watch the multi-hour one), and most especially because it so clearly highlights all the salient points made in the weekend review without the delays while relevant images are located; plus the addition of additional content not shown. I'll watch these even if I already watched the live broadcast because there is no substitute for informative content with tight editing and narration. Thank you!

    Personally I believe what the reason is for the stringers being added to ship 26 is to strengthen its payload bay area for feul, and will be used in future for the refueling in space demo. Just a theory though

    • @MikoDnst
      @MikoDnst 4 місяці тому

      I think that S26 will be used as a space tank, with other Starships flying to it and transferring fuel

    • @TheEvilmooseofdoom
      @TheEvilmooseofdoom 4 місяці тому

      A good sign of that will be some kind of hardware that will allow it mate with a ship or tanker and transfer.

    • @bryanillenberg
      @bryanillenberg 4 місяці тому

      Sorry, but S26 has basically been confirmed as Scrap.
      Furthermore, there isn't a tank in it's payload section to store fuel, and there isn't a method to install one without cutting off the nosecone.

    • @bryanillenberg
      @bryanillenberg 4 місяці тому

      no, S26 isn't an HLS test article.
      I think the stringers are a bit off for the landing thrusters, and they would block the elevator

      @@geoffallan Fair point, and I think that aligns with what we normally see.
      I guess I am just thinking of the last full flyover video, where someone mentioned a regulation change that altered the flight altitude around starbase. I couldn't tell if it was higher or lower from the comment.
      This just stood out to me, I guess, as it's another reference to an altitude change without really clarifying the change.

  • @therealjamespickering
    @therealjamespickering 4 місяці тому +1

    Does SpaceX still plan on trying to catch the Starship booster? It really doesn't make sense to me for them to risk the launch pad infrastructure in this way. It would be far safer to have a separate catch tower so that in the event that the landing attempt fails, it doesn't destroy the entire launch site.

    • @TheEvilmooseofdoom
      @TheEvilmooseofdoom 4 місяці тому

      They plan on doing the early testing to see if it's feasible. Most of that will be soft water landings, much like they did with the F9.

I had no idea there were 4 locations now, so you need to add more visual guides to indicate that you are in lot 1 lot 2, the build site or the launch site. Sure I can immediately tell when you put the camera on launch site or build site, but it is confusing to others

      @@SjMk1. imagery has to be taken from the cameras, organized, edited, also taken from other sources (like LabPadre and Jessica Kirsh), script has to be written, reviewed, executed, everything must be edited together, reviewed, errors fixed, etc. It's a lot of freaking work, RGV doesn't have a giant team of editors to do all this in a pinch (like Linus Media Group does for example), so it takes time.
