Thanks for Watching! - Наука та технологія
I really enjoy these 15 mini flyover reviews. The 2 1/2 hour version is good but too long.
well its a live stream soo
Love this new magnifying effect on the flyover map. Very nice.
Thanks for narrating the flyover.
I really like these shorter update episodes with a really soothing voice. Keep it up!
Thanks Geoff and crew!
Thanks!
Thank you for your support ❤
The zoom box is genius
Thank you
Great update, thank you! The editing could use a little more time between each section to let us digest the info but the script, voice-over & explanations are clear easy to understand and concise! Thank you to the entire team ❤
Just like 5-10 seconds would be enough
Waiting for your own excellent show 🙂
It's called constructive criticism🙂 @@bgdx.5049
@@iamaduckquack The thing is, StarBaseFR does actually make his own show but in french, and is excellent. lol
Or, you can press "pause". ;-)
Thank you team. Fantastic coverage
These flyovers keep getting better. This is incredible! Thank you guys for your awesome work!
Love the short and long overview of the site great work by all
Welcome back Team RGV! :)
Noice. This is really well done. Great script, great narration, yellow highlights are helpful, sweet transitions.
Another excellent recap, thanks Geoff, your VO is as always on point and professional. Nice work RGV
Thank the whole team, I am a mere cog in making this happen. They're a great bunch of folks.
Of course the RGV team has once again done an amazing job. Excellent shots and research. Top work all round
Heckin ' Awesome Update !!! 🤟
Thanks, really superior videography and narrative, much appreciated
very well done. great images and narrative
VERY WELL MADE AND PERFECT LENGTH :)
you guys provide the most detailed and informative videos on the launch site and its progression. awesome videos, hope you guys have a great year in growth on the channel, you deserve it.
So much work
Outstanding report!
Great job! Love this format (for when I haven't the time to watch the multi-hour one), and most especially because it so clearly highlights all the salient points made in the weekend review without the delays while relevant images are located; plus the addition of additional content not shown. I'll watch these even if I already watched the live broadcast because there is no substitute for informative content with tight editing and narration. Thank you!
Great update. Thanks.
Great work mate.
Great video/commentary as always!
Love the audio by Geoff, and really like the new editing style. Also good quality of the pictures.
There was a strange ringing sound in the background, couldn't tell if it was music or another audio in the video.
Great update, thanks for the mention 😊
No worries, thanks for the footage.
as a blind subscriber I of course particularly appreciate the narration and as others have mentioned perhaps a little more time for Info separation and uptake would further improve an excellent narration
Thanks
Very interesting and has a lot to cover.
As the activity grows requiring more explanation consider doing a video on each site.
We do a live stream every Saturday at 12pm central that lasts 2 hours so we spend much more time on each site. You should come join us. Thanks for your comment.
I will check it out, but 2 hours is long.@@geoffallan
Lol make up your mind@@sagecoach
Ship 26 payload section gets cut in half and a hinge gets added between the sets of stringers.
The pilot with the dirty airplane
Thanks for another great video although the pace of narration was a bit too fast for me this week.
agreed, and thanks for the feedback, it's the main point after we QC'd it before release. It won't be an issue next week.
agreed thanks
I miss the bgm "In the atmosphere" by Bad Snacks
Personally I believe what the reason is for the stringers being added to ship 26 is to strengthen its payload bay area for feul, and will be used in future for the refueling in space demo. Just a theory though
I think that S26 will be used as a space tank, with other Starships flying to it and transferring fuel
A good sign of that will be some kind of hardware that will allow it mate with a ship or tanker and transfer.
Sorry, but S26 has basically been confirmed as Scrap.
Furthermore, there isn't a tank in it's payload section to store fuel, and there isn't a method to install one without cutting off the nosecone.
9:56 Now that I own the BBC 🎶
Surely Massey's gaining all Launch capabilities Needed for Chopstick Testing.
looks good place to start a Hop.
Cheers
Nope.
No tower at Masseys
Only need a Pad to launch. ship-to-Tower@@bryanillenberg
Since S26 is getting a lot more reinforcement...could they be modifying it to test as a tanker? Even if it just gets filled with water...
Regards S26 stringers... I'll wager it's for the HLS elevator section mock-up/pathfinder...
no, S26 isn't an HLS test article.
I think the stringers are a bit off for the landing thrusters, and they would block the elevator
About S26 stringers. This type of Starship is planned to be sent to the Moon, so it is being reinforced in places where moon descend engines are supposed to be.I guess
It's going to the moon? Says who?
@@TheEvilmooseofdoom I suppose, because of missing flaps
There are a few odd moments where things are referred to but not explained. I can only remember one right now though. Why is the altitude the images were taken different? What was the previous altitude, and what is the new? Thanks.
Weather can change the angle, so having images to compare is tricky sometimes.
@@geoffallan Fair point, and I think that aligns with what we normally see.
I guess I am just thinking of the last full flyover video, where someone mentioned a regulation change that altered the flight altitude around starbase. I couldn't tell if it was higher or lower from the comment.
This just stood out to me, I guess, as it's another reference to an altitude change without really clarifying the change.
If any ... I might just be misremembering.
@@icycooldrink6085 No you're good, there was low cloud cover in that one I think, so the images were from outside the TFR in that one?
I think they dropped TFR from 10k to 8k ft. I may be mis-remembering this fact though.
Red Shirts on Star Trek live longer than concrete at Starbase, lol.
👍🚀👀
Noice 🍺😎🤘
Could it be that maybe those concrete footers next to the road are for a new sign with maybe a ship and booster mounted horizontally?
That would be an excellent idea.
That little patch of private land; couldn't they just dig it up and move it across the road? It's not like the owner can do anything with it now.
Algorithm booster.
Does SpaceX still plan on trying to catch the Starship booster? It really doesn't make sense to me for them to risk the launch pad infrastructure in this way. It would be far safer to have a separate catch tower so that in the event that the landing attempt fails, it doesn't destroy the entire launch site.
They plan on doing the early testing to see if it's feasible. Most of that will be soft water landings, much like they did with the F9.
@@TheEvilmooseofdoom That's what I thought. I just think that a separate landing site would make much more sense.
Great update, but please slow down the voice over. It felt like the speaker was in a rush to go somewhere. Was challenging to keep up. I had to go back and repeat several sections of the video.
Thank you for your kind feedback.
Why can you fly a small plane over the sites, yet I can’t put my drone up ?
The TFR is 10,000 ft, so Irma has a very long lens and flies above that flight restriction, usually 10,500ft to be safe.
👍👍👍🇮🇳
Is the voice ai?
No, it's me, lol. Edits were a little too tight this time round. We'll let it breathe next time. Thanks for your comment.
@@geoffallan Yep! We will let it breathe! Everything Zen!
@@geoffallan no worries. Lol
You need to add tags or something because I can't sit here and watch you point out pipes being moved 5 feet. I had no idea there were 4 locations now, so you need to add more visual guides to indicate that you are in lot 1 lot 2, the build site or the launch site. Sure I can immediately tell when you put the camera on launch site or build site, but it is confusing to others
I love these summaries but this one went waaayyyy too fast, especially for those (like me) that don't have English as native language.... I had too skip back many time to hear again or to have a look instead of listen....
I 100% agree, next weeks episode will be more easy to follow.
@@geoffallan
That would be great!
What's the point in uploading dated videos 🙄
If we had a time machine, we'd release it before the flyover takes place. So, with that in mind, would you like to reword your question? lol
@geoffallan if the last fly over was the on the 13th why does it take 5 days to release it? no time machine needed 🤷♂️
@@SjMk1. imagery has to be taken from the cameras, organized, edited, also taken from other sources (like LabPadre and Jessica Kirsh), script has to be written, reviewed, executed, everything must be edited together, reviewed, errors fixed, etc. It's a lot of freaking work, RGV doesn't have a giant team of editors to do all this in a pinch (like Linus Media Group does for example), so it takes time.
