- It happened yesterday. I had just left the hospital, driving home when I noticed something strange. A dog, alone, tied up in the middle of an empty field in an industrial zone.
She was tied with an old rope and a piece of wire.
I had to do something!...

She may actually be a whippet... I was thinking she was the greyhound that UA-camr Jenna Marbles just adopted, but after checking her video about adopting her new dog, it is not the same girl. They look a lot alike, though!

@@missylou725 This beautifull girl is a galgo, a spanish greyhound breed, and in Spain galgos are notoriously abused. Hunters don't consider them to be "true" dogs but mere tools to catch wild games.
@@philomena4873 Clearly Spain needs a major push to educate it's people on care of animals, also all those so kindly involved in animal rescue need to get busy writing to the papers, lobbying their government representatives, and generally bringing such abuse to public knowledge with the message loud and clear that this is unacceptable

Oh my goodness...it’s a Greyhound. We’ve had four of these dogs and they are so loving and kind. After their racing career, all they want is love and a comfy bed. Thank you for saving this hound. ❤️

This being Spain, it may very well be a galgo (Spanish greyhound), a breed with a very similar look to the English greyhound but with a separate genetic heritage. Galgos are overbred by Spanish hunters, who use them in the field for a few years and then commonly dispose of them, often in horrendously cruel ways. An estimated 50,000 to 100,000 galgos and podencos (another Iberian sighthound) are killed each year by hunters. : (
Galgos tend to be smaller than greyhounds, not as deep chested, snippier in the muzzle, and have a more curved tail, among other differences.

Thanks for saving this beautiful soul! Tied up in the middle of an empty field, with no food or water, for quite a while, AND no shelter. So I guess she sat there in rain/storms, in the cold at night. Whoever did this is cruel and has no soul or conscience, as this sweet dog suffered. If you don't want an animal, please take it to a shelter, where it will get food, water, shelter until a home is found. Even if it has to be put to sleep, it is better than this type of cruelty! So glad she was rescued/saved!!!!

Its time that a law is pass in each countries that who ever has a dog and that dog is been treated bad some how, take the dog away from them, plus do to them the same as they had done to the dog, its time that dogs r kept away from human animals, and its time that humans r been punish for been so heartless.
Sadly, these Greys are used for hunting in that part of the world. Once the hunters are done with them they do terrible things; I can't even repeat what I have been told about these inhumane practices, but it's downright criminally insane!!
This is both sad and wonderful. Good to see that they found this beautiful pup. As for the owner? I hope they suffer a horrible life for doing this to this pup.
Don't waste energy toward punishment for the person who did this to her. It will spill over into your life, and harm you. We who love what Victor and the team do need only good, positive energy, along with prayers, and donations to help the animals heal.

That is so sad for the Galgos, I have a retired greyhound, well no stats on him so likely didn't make the cut. Here in the USA there are a ton of groups focused on getting Greyhounds into their forever homes. Galgos need that kind of love too !

So glad you guys got to save her before she gave up, she was so thin and all tangled up in that makeshift wire lead that they put around the pole !! Breaks your heart, how long was she there for as the place around her seemed soo busy ??
