Did you end up getting the win? I saw yours after I picked the el-camino and had Holley change it. Later when they released the winners, it was still the El-camino.
@@DEBOSSGARAGE Someone from the staff stopped me on the way out Sunday, they told me we won an award but the guys at the Holley Booth couldn't if it was true or where to pick it up

Do a hot rod build collaboration with at least 10 YT builders, each person does a particular job on their own channel and sends it on to the next.. Get as many heavy hitter sponsors as you can get At the end of the year auction it off and give the proceeds to a worthwhile charity
It says experimental right on the side, totally a flyer. They are restricted in horsepower so only about twice the power of a stock 172. But, they get about 4 times the ground coverage per gallon.
I know Cain is gone get some help from someone out there! Great of you to show that interview with them and get them some time on camera! Big props to you Rich!
Please do more content with Cain and his dad. Maybe take a trip to visit them or bring them up to the shop for a visit or something. Would be great to see.
You, Derek and Al n Woody in colab would be an amazing build!! And the 3 of you build something against bad obsession.. no doubt impossible but I reckon would be the biggest vid series on YT ever! 🎉 (Imagine the brackets!! 😅)
Fernando is one cool dad for keeping his son Cain involved with that truck! How about Rich, Flying Sparks and some other bigger UA-camrs work with them to finish that build (if he would accept the help)?
You definitely can put an LS in an airplane and fly it. That “experimental” sticker and classification open up all kinds of crazy contraption possibilities
Honestly, with the Chevy starters, I think everyone should use a fender mounted solenoid. Move the main wiring to the fender, use a short pigtail from the main terminal to the activation terminal on the starter. It’s what I did with my square body, and power only goes down near the block and exhaust while the fender solenoid is engaged.
I would love to see you guys do somesort of charity event for guys like Fernando and Cain. It doesnt need to be huge, rather it to be something that they will remember for years to come.
I always enjoyed the agriculturual and commercial vehicles, I found Deboss because I was looking up something about tractors actually. A cool project would be you fixing up the old forklift in the shop, maybe do a fun but practical swap in it while also painting it.
tbh best thing about deboss is watching you Rich, workout a way to do something you not done before.. I enjoyed the audi build so much cause you have a good brain for figuring stuff out but without building racecars being a thing you had done or just followed how others had done it, meant the car is full of quirky solutions to problems. So what do I want to see? Nothing in particular, just something you have always fancied but never done and see the mad creation emerge.
Man, what a killer truck...love it! And actually there are quite a few LS powered aircraft flying as conversion kits are available, although they are rated "experimental"
Luv'd this build. Watched the vids with my 85yo parents...my mom had a '55 second series when i was a kid. She remembered it very fondly over these episodes. 👍👍
Rich love the content....always excited when a DebossGarage vid comes in! Did you say boats? I'd love to see a restoration of an old 70's/80's performance boat (deep V, tunnel or STV) with a nice big 2 stroke engine on it! They're a lot of fun and with a 2 stroke set up (instead of a stern drive V8), not as much to go wrong 😁
There are quite a few planes using not only LS but other automotive engines. My favorite that I’ve seen was a Van’s RV6 painted like a P51 with an LS1 from a corvette, complete with the corvette beauty covers on the top…trippy to see a big CORVETTE under the cowling!
If you've never done a CONCOURS restoration, you would be surprised at the learning curve required. I just finished my 67 GTA Mustang last year. Owned it as my first car since 1978
Wow…truck turned out fantastic. I’m excited to see this build get all the finishing touches, as well as the F-tree kitty back at the shop. I’m sure it won’t disappoint. Next build…what about another old muscle car with a modern power plant and drive train? Honestly…whatever you choose will be educational and entertaining. Great content…keep the videos coming!
Build a drag and drive vehicle, A good reason to come to Florida in the winter. You could also build a burn-out vehicle and try your luck at one of Cleetus's event's. another option to get out of Canada during the winter. The next build needs to be something unique, but also useful. One other idea I have is, find an older car hauler trailer. Like the ones that deliver vehicles to dealerships. You could use it to haul all your vehicles around and share them with the world. A rolling car show. At some point you are going to have to venture into electric power. add electric motors to a vehicle, but not like a hybrid. Add some power to the front wheels of something, like the new Corvette has on some models. either for more performance or better yet increased traction in a winter environment. Add AWD with the flick of a switch. I could go on forever, I have more ideas than the ability to do the work myself any more. Health issues have shut me down for some time now. Keep making video's and I will keep watching and enjoying them. Thank you.
So glad you were prepared for that fire and it wasn’t any worse, literally had my heart racing on that one, I feel vested in this project haha! Happy to hear there is Audi content coming, I would be up for another wild car build like that, maybe build an off-road version similar to what I did with my Neoru.
Im sure it would be a logistics nightmare but more of this type of series visiting other UA-cam channels to do work on the ride you are in or even just going roadtripping to help them with stuff they are working on. I have found several other channels I like from this one and that shop banter friendship is fun. Not that I want to see you struggle but it is inspiring to see quality workmanship from a floor jack under a pop-up tent with basic tools once in awhile. Keep up the great work.
Rich, they just about everything in planes nowadays. Electric and diesel. Yes, plenty of LS’s and just about anything in a boxer configuration. It takes some safety and gearing alterations but they work well.
Love it, as I do all the deboss videos! One correction though, if you check google/UA-cam you'll find heaps of planes using the LS. Most are boosted in some fashion, but they do fly. Cars, boats, toys, planes... the list goes on my friend
42:51 "boats" yeah you should do a charger next lol i think something to challenge stefans srt4 midget would be cool (k20 tr6??) would love to see him again, and you two to have a build off
What I really like about your channel is the camaraderie and fun and problem solving you do. You share the real process and the high and lows and show that hard work can overcome all of that. I'll be here watching whatever you decide to build next.
Great vid, Rich. ....In answer to you.... I'd like to see more of the tank truck. fixed, so it drives decently... better steering arrangement, working shifters, working transmissions so you're not limited to 8 mph...your creations, your artistry in solving form/function puzzles. Seems to me that those Holley electronics are a real pain in the butt. Dan at DD's speed shop finally took all the Holley Sniper stuff off of his '55 Nomad and put a pair of quadrajets on it. No more problems (or at least fewer ones). He couldn't get his car to learn or idle either.
One vacuum leak will do that. It usually is something mechanical stopping the electronics. Once I hooked up the catch can to the intake, it ran better. Even did autocross with it. The blue cap on the intake wasn't sealing 100%

Rich love the finished truck ,we used to do a cheap guard flair in my teens 50years ago😢 put a block of wood on the tyre side wall and get a mate to slowly drive forward and as the wood block forces between the tyre and guard it flairs the guard out ,not pretty but as a teen on apprentice wages and wanting to put wide tyres on my old ford who could afford a panel shop flair job ,Love your channel How about building a myer manx beach buggy in Canada and drive it to California 😮😮 Cheers Kym Adelaide

No. Definitely not interested in that. The build with skid factory was the limit.
