Great content. This reminds me how I cracked my second million in my dividend portfolio investing with the help of a finance manager who trades for me.
Hi Ramin - would very much appreciate it if you could do a video on investing in a smaller time frame say 7-10 years for someone who is 60 years old for maximum gains and who started their investing journey very late. I'm thinking leveraged ETFs... risky but maybe necessary.
It so happened that I sold my short-term treasuries and bought small cap value with 1/10th of my total portfolio on 3/23/2020, the exact bottom of the pandemic crash. One thing that can "save your portfolio" is to be greedy when others are fearful.
The condition of the economy is notably poor. As a result, it undergoes intense efforts to grow in a state of desperation. Various strategies such as tricks, gimmicks, and policy adjustments are implemented to boost the economy and prevent its decline. However, these measures offer only temporary relief to individuals, as inflation contributes to an overall decline in economic well-being.
People value their currency based on necessity, even in hyperinflation. Limited access to alternative currencies or precious metals forces them to use their hyperinflationary currency despite its decreasing worth.
Inflation is gradually going to become part of us and due to that fact any money you keep in cash or in a low-interest account declines in value each year. Investing is the only way to make your money grow and unless you have an exceptionally high income, investing is the only way most people will ever have enough money to retire.
I agree with the comment above but I've tried investing in the stock market several times but always got discouraged by fluctuations of stock value. I would be happy if you could advise me based on how you went about yours, as I am ready to go the passive income path.!!

thanks a lot for the share , I looked up his full name online and found his page. I emailed and made an appointment to talk with him; hopefully, he gets back to me.
I’m 72 and pulled all my money out of Vanguard and just put it in Barclays at 4.65%. Too much of a gamble if that’s the only money you have. Would only invest in stock market if I had spare money to,leave for at least five years
53:42 I think we will lose the 60k pension allowance, may go 50k. That’s easy to implement, gives immediate tax return and is sizeable bump, can avoid scraping barrel elsewhere for a few £B.
Long-term treasuries spiked and some managed futures funds went up during the February 2020 downturn. Managed futures went on to save portfolios during 2022, while bond funds tanked. In my portfolio, my ballast is a combination of bills, long-term treasuries, managed futures, and gold.
I very much rely on sudden equity market drops to recover in a relatively short time. But what about "lost decades"? Even retirees with "bucket-strategies" might get in trouble with markets falling in real terms over 10+ years. On the other hand, keeping too many safe assets would have too high an opportunity cost. What do you recommend? (Disclosure: I have a 60/40 portfolio, which according to historical (!) and montecarlo data, should not run out of money in my estimated (!) lifetime. But who can foresee the future?)
God, Id love to get access to individual bond markets in my small country, but alas... I know Ive been writing this comment many times over the years on this channel, but it's frustrating, I have to use high yield savings account, which are OK, but you cant sell "savings" on the market if it suddenly appreaciates nicely
I receive a good contribution from my employer into my pension. And I've chosen a cash fund currently returning 5.4% so I'm happy as I can comfortably add my employers contributions as a part of my growth of my retirement portfolio. So the moral is don't chase that extra 3-4% on equities currently in a very overpriced position especially on a global equity fund. Managed funds that move into high yield like Gas and Oil in the next years ahead are a better gamble than trading in Tech stocks which is very overvalued. Fund managers rely on a flock of followers the build their wealth. The poor stay poor. Thoughts please Ramin?
If I make about 55x as much money I can buy individual bonds on my market. If I buy government bond funds I will lose my money faster than keeping it in a cookie jar. If I buy investment grade bond funds the return is lower than stocks, while not hedging against a serious downturn. I just can’t understand why it’s set up like that here.
Ramin you set your camera too far away from your face and most of your view is of blank wall space. Invest in a good room set and a closer view of yourself. And also your in the bottom part of the frame currently 😢
The level of inefficiency and corruption within this administration is becoming outrageously high. It’s troubling to witness the lack of support for financially vulnerable individuals and those with disabilities who are entitled to assistance. I’m incredibly thankful to Kris Lizette Dornbush for changing my life. Just think-earning $6,000 in four days from an investment of $1,500.
I echo your thoughts. That woman transformed my life in a very positive way. Kris stands out as the most trustworthy person I’ve met. It’s quite a surprise that you also know her.

Yes it is. That's awesome, who's your FM?
👍👍 with the help of my FM, Emmennet Jaccque Barrett. Research her.
Really awesome. I work with same lady, Emmennet Jaccque Barrett. Met her at a finance seminar in NY.
Ramin talks with authority. I love learning from this channel.
Sometimes, he also talks with Michael or Damien in his podcasts and in UA-cam collaborations, respectively.

Ramin, Excellent thought provoking content as ever👍
Thanks so much @jimcurran3753
Thank you. Very insightful.
Glad you enjoyed it @TimeIsFire000
US is expensive but geo politically safe.

I think I'd jack in my bonds in a major stock crash, too.
Me too please

By far the best channel on investing and dog tricks ❤

I had also forgot about the 2018 pandemic
Having left the U.K. I will be seeing a tax specialist this Winter to make sure I’m optimised in this regard after Reeves’ Budget next month.

Do you get capital growth with QYLP?
