Based on 90% of the bursts I've seen in pictures and the two I've seen in real life... that top is so much more accurate for a 59 than most of the R9s. If I ever have the money to do a custom build, it'll take a 4 second phone call to the custom shop because I'll just have to say "Give me the Tomo Fujita". Congrats on an excellent piece.

Custom made guitar is every guitarist dream come true. I have in Finland custom made JEM. It has Gibson scale and Gotoh 510 tremolo. Too much other things to say here. But it is my design with guitar master maker product you cannot buy on guitar stores. Nice Gibson handle with care 👍.
I bought one too. The most I've ever paid for a guitar. Got lucky and found one used from a guy locally. He decided to let it go. He was a Tele guy. Saved me some money and while it wasn't exactly like I would custom order, it was close enough, Ice tea burst with a slight chevron and lots of movement in the flame. Anyway, point is, it feels and sounds right. I'm happy to see someone like you (and Uncle Larry) diggin this model. I was scared to buy it, but really happy I did, Can't stop playing it. Good choice!!!
Earlier this year I bought a 1957 reissue from the Murphy lab in Goldtop and I have to say props to Gibson Custom Shop for making an exquisite piece of equipment. Congrats Tomo on your new guitar!

Amazing to finally see one of my favorite guitarists on UA-cam with a Les Paul! I’ve had a crush with Gibsons since I started playing guitars and I bought, sold and traded quite a few Les Pauls. Custom ordering is the best way to get exactly what you want. My favorite Les Paul is a pretty heavy R7 from 1993 that is 4.5kg. My other favorite Les Paul is actually a 594 10 Top singlecut from PRS that weighs only 3.65kg 🎸

Congrats Tomo! I bought a Gibson Custom shop 60th anniversary 1960-v2 last year. 8lb, 1oz, so light and resonant, one-piece solid mahogany body. Amazing guitar, neck a little slimmer than 59 spec, but not as slim as the 1960 v3 neck (the really thin). Again, congratulations and enjoy!
Beautiful guitar. Visually a little like my R0 which also is quite understated in terms of the burst, and less tight quilt. In fact that’s what attracted me to it. Please enjoy yours.
