- September is Blood Cancer Awareness Month, and Leukaemia Care launch their Spot Leukaemia campaign, raising awareness of the signs and symptoms of leukaemia within the public and healthcare professionals.
I was diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) this year after four years of symptoms that also included stomach burning and bloating, extreme fatigue, and recurring illnesses including bronchitis and sinusitis. What they don't tell you is that 62% of CLL patients also get a second cancer within the first year. This is because your bad B white cells are overproducing, crowding out the red blood cells (causing fatigue and anemia), and leaving you in a constant state of inflammation which is how cancer thrives. My blood work kept showing high white count for years, and the doctors dismissed it as related to my most recent illness. Last month, I was diagnosed with a second cancer, anal cancer caused by HPV virus, only stage 2 and 85% chance of curing. Once this treatment is over, I'm exploring all alternatives on how to starve cancer and lower my white cell count, instead of staying in "wait and see," what they recommend for early stage CLL patients.
This was my sign to get checked out. I’ve been dealing with bronchitis and sinusitis for years and it gets so bad to the point I’m always at urgent care for medicine which doesn’t always work all the time!

8 bouts of bronchitis within less than 2 years and high white count for just a long. They just kept saying we'll check it again in 6 months... every 6 months. Found a new Dr in Jan and she referred me to pulmonary and hematology. Lung scans show something but they want to wait another 2 months and check again after a round of antibiotics for supposed pneumonia....I have no current lung symptoms. Just had blood drawn earlier today to check for leukemia and PV.... I'm scared and anxious and angry it took this long to be taken seriously
Lmao not me having all of these and chronic migraines. My doctor is worried about my white blood cell and platelet count too 😬😬😬

Can someone help me with this question. Even if your kidney function blood tests come back fine. Can you still have leukemia or Lymphoma? I have a Ear Nose and Throat Scan on Friday. I have also have been referred to hematology department because I have had had enlarged spleen for 2 years which came up on my lung referral scan recently. I told my GP I have blood in my saliva for several months, I have some night sweats (only occasionally), itchy skin, joint pain in hip, knee and abdomen under my ribcage. I feel like there is swelling of my liver, and I feel a sense of fullness sometimes because my spleen is pushing against my stomach. I feel tired all the time. I will sleep for many hours and still be tired. I feel out of breath when going up and down the stairs. Anyone's advice and opinion will be helpful 😊
Am suffering with all your symptoms as mentioned here.... i dunno what to do?? Doctor told me this is cause of my kidney infection and asked me to start dialysis asap but i feel its blood cancer
I have all this symptoms ...when i go for checkup doc only gves me multi vit whch does nthng to me n i still feel tired evryday joint pain infctns every months

Try to find a clinic close to you where you can order a TBC. It's not expensive and you will know for sure. I don't understand the health ystem in America. In Brazil they will do a whole set of exams.
SHIT ! I am sitting in bed w a fever and a lot of bone pain w shortness of breath! My mom thinks I have corona but I think it might be leukimia !!
