Hi, I’m Krista! I make math courses to keep you from banging your head against the wall. ;)
Math class was always so frustrating for me. I’d go to a class, spend hours on homework, and three days later have an “Ah-ha!” moment about how the problems worked that could have slashed my homework time in half. I’d think, “WHY didn’t my teacher just tell me this in the first place?!”
So I started tutoring to keep other people out of the same aggravating, time-sucking cycle. Since then, I’ve recorded tons of videos and written out cheat-sheet style notes and formula sheets to help every math student-from basic middle school classes to advanced college calculus-figure out what’s going on, understand the important concepts, and pass their classes, once and for all. Ok, this is my first time saying this, but this math teacher is amazing. She always has the content I need. Keep being awesome!
Thank you so much, Ghost! I'm so glad the videos are helping!! :D
i have a vector cal midterm in less than 20 hours and you just saved my life! Thank you!!! :)
me in 2 hours😂😂😂
I just hate that this video doesn't have more views than it does! Very well put together. I especially appreciated the fact that you edited out the small gaps in between unimportant events, like writing equal signs and such. It really helped to keep the overall energy up throughout the entire vid! Great job!
Thank you so much, I'm just glad you liked it!
Ok, I realize this is an old video, but I must say that this was a huge help, and very much easier to understand than the explanation in my current class. Thank you!
I've never had such an easy time learning through UA-cam videos! Thanks for such great videos!
Precisely answers all of my questions and yet remains concise and to the point. Very well done. Subscribed.
Nicholas Greenwood Awesome! So glad you feel that way!
You're a literal godsend. Thank you for existing and making awesome math videos!
Thank you so much, Jacob! I'm so glad the videos have helped! :)
Not only was that the exact problem I was having trouble with, but the explanation was clear and easy to understand. Thank you!
You're welcome, Corey, I'm so glad it helped! :D
I love all of your videos! You make it so concise and easy to understand. I wish I had a pop up video of you on each section o my multivariable calc book lol. If my professor could just turn on your videos instead of a long boring lecture, i'd be golden!! Once again thank you Krista.
:D
Thank you, my textbook did not give a good example. I was able to use this example to understand the process of solving.
I love how you can explain a solution step by step without frightening me away. What can you suggest to help me organize these intriguing lessons?
I have Calc 1, 2 and 3 playlists on my UA-cam channel, and they might be a good place to start if you're looking to organize these ideas in order. Otherwise, my Academy is much better organized! :D Anyway... I'm glad you like the videos! :)
Great video! It should be noted however that there is no unique parametrization of the curve. For instance we can set y=t, and then z=1+t, the expression for x follows from the first equation
Vector calc midterm tomorrow, bless this channel.
Good luck on the midterm! I hope you rock it!
9 year old vid i think i must be in 5th grade doing algebra and now doing this hahaha thanks for the vid mam , i wish for you and your family happiness 😀
I LOVED YOUR EXPLANATION!! its shame that 67K people saw the video and only 459 supported the video with a like :( any way THANKS A LOT!!
No problem, Ramsés! I'm so glad it helped! :D
I LOVE your videos. It's doing wonders by guiding me through my homework. Thank you!!
+Jennifer Pena You're welcome! I'm so happy to be able to help!
You might have just saved me for my calc test tomorrow. i love your voice!
I hope it goes well!
very nice and simple explanation.
Literal lifesaver, thank you!
You're welcome! So glad it helped!! 🫶
elegant yet precise explanation. I like it.
+Lavish J (Lavit) Thank you!
this is amazing. thank you so much! you make an excellent calculus teacher. :)
+qrayze Thank you very much, I appreciate it!
Thank you so much. At the moment I'm in quarantine and my professors aren't teaching (luckily just mathematical analysis 2). So those videos are helping me a lot!
I'm so glad the videos are helping! Hope you and your family are all safe and healthy! :)
Could one set z to t or y to t instead of setting x to t? Thanks for the video!
SAVED ME AGAIN! you get a gold star!
:D
you're the best for this! have my exam tomorrow and this totally cleared it up for me
I'm so glad it could help!
thanks a lot, beautiful explanation
Could you do videos on more complex surfaces? More specifically, two surfaces that are both described by 3 variables, instead of having one with only 2 variables?
amazing video, incredibly clear, thank you!
Amazing !! I finally understand
this was the exact problem from my book number 37 book by James Stewart vol2 on page 701 LOL. sadly my homework problem due is 36, but I think with this video I might be able to do it. thanks.
+Mikej1592 LOL, I hope it still helped!
Great video Krista! It helped me a lot :)
You're welcome, I'm so glad it helped!
Amazing hack. Useful in visualizing intersection of surfaces.
Low Key carried my calc 3 education thanks
You're welcome, Jason! I'm so glad I was able to help along the way! :)
YOU ROCK THANK YOU
You're welcome, Travis! I'm so glad it helped! :D
I love you. Huge thanks.
Love you too! :)
what should you do if there is no shared parameter (eg: a cylinder with no Z parameter, and a slanted plane) and you want to have the result on the XY plane?
Got the same question
i love you and thank you so much
Yea, your good!
amazing, thank you!
You're welcome, Chris! I'm so glad you liked it! :)
hi i would like to know how to solve an intersection curve of elliptic cylinder and paraboloid hyperbolic
ohhhhhh cheers mate! you saved my life! :D
So glad I could help!
Holy crap, thank you so so much!!! :)
This was literally on my exam I JUST took wish I found this video before :c
Hate when that happens!
Is there a reason we pick x=t?
short and sweet))))thanks)
:D
What is the question asked for you to find tangent line at a specific point? Say at (x,y,z)=(2,4,-3).
A good review of my Calculus 3 vector analysis class 25 years ago. A sketch of the curve of intersection of the two surfaces would surely help students grasp a better understanding this concept. Marriage of geometry with algebra should always be maintained when teaching these types of concepts.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
You're so welcome! I'm glad I could help!
May God bless you.
you are awesome! great Vid!
Aw thanks!
would having x=sqrt(2t+1) and y=t and z=1+t work also. the x solution is positive and negative.
a lot of videos incorporate trig identities to find their final solution but i'm confused as to why that's helpful when we can just set the two equations equal to each other.
Oh wow, in Stewart's Calculus he taught curve of intersection by way of mentally projecting one surface onto the other and just trying to find a parameter for that intersection and didn't really go into detail then proceeds to have multiple exercises involving parametrizing a curve of intersection. Beware if you are going through Stewarts..
Ditto that! This video just clarified something I've been confused about all semester with Stewart's. Just in time too, as the final's in 10 hours!
Hahahaha lmfao @@explosions484 My final's is also in about 15 hours!! :D
Perfect. Very didatic.
what if i dont have z in one of the equations?
ahaha this is the problem im stuck on !!!
lol awesome..
+steve khan awesome! Glad I could help!
Your voice is so adorable
Kraming with Krista King
help no videos working!
iter wale like croww
Your voice is weird , i have final exam and i hope that your lecture will help me !
probably the best e-lecture of youtube !
Thank you!
Will you marry me? haha, Great video, thanks!
be my wife
