Hey Mickey, The bonus projects can be grabbed here if you just want those lessons and already are familiar with the beginner concepts: The projects include: 1. Using 3D Geometry, Facetracking, and Smartvectors, and LookDeving an Energy Cracking Effect 2. Advanced Edge Extend Fixes & a Beginner CG Integration Project 3. Beauty work Techniques + Footage to practice 4. Mocha Planar Track + Advanced Paint Cleanup (this video, plus the footage and an additional tutorial) All of the projects include CG assets, footage, and in some cases Nuke scripts. All of the assets can be used for your demo reel as well. They also include additional course lectures and content that is not available anywhere else. courses.compositingacademy.com/purchase?product_id=5625720 Cheers!
For the frequency separation you can also use the Laplacian Node, which does exactly the same as a blur minus, but in just one node. I thought it could be an interesting information to be shared 😊
Did you try cropping to just the logo area then running a camera solve on it? From there you can generate a point cloud/mesh that you could use to place a cylinder in for the bucket and let the camera do the tracking work.
That could potentially work as well. Usually I try to avoid 3d stuff if I can just because I prefer getting a quick cornerpin then painting, but the method you're suggesting or Keentools would probably both work too
This is part of a new bonus projection section that includes a variety of new projects. There's an upgrade option available for previous users who accessed the videos on Udemy and want to gain access to the additional projects, footage, and tutorials. If you're interested, please send an email. Cheers!
When there are occlusions (objects passing over the tracking area) smartvectors will break. Also smart vectors don't like light changes very much either. If this were a deforming surface you could try something like the Mocha Power Mesh which is kind of like subdivided planar tracker.
Hi, I was wondering, is the only way to view part 2 to purchase the whole beginer bundle?

Great tip!
I use mocha mostly for roto and sometimes planner tracking, it’s a very good program. I’m now learning silhouette
Great Mocha showcase and great video! Thank you!
Smart and simple thanks!

Mocha is the only thing I miss from after effects, maybe one day I'll cop it for nuke

Canadian Tire ftw
Hey Alex! I have your courses on Udemy. Will the Rotopaint update be on there when it's finished?

YES😃
Why didn't you use smart vector?
