This takes me back to my school days, when we would applaud the most popular student as they entered the class, and afterwards we would follow them through the school halls at a respectable distance, while twirling and clicking our fingers. Happy days. Legendary movie.
Lol
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂😂
Exactly and the teachers clapped even. Good times good times they were truly amazing
I’m dead…😂😂😂 yes the good ol days…
Lol
Her outfits in this part of the movie were giving me LIFE
Uh yeah... she was the most popular girl. Lol
That style is well I want it!!!
As cringey as this movie was, her outfits in this scene were ON POINT.
they are still giving me life.
My mom would not let me wear the clothes at the beginning of the movie. Shed be like "change your clothes what are you wearing"
I love how the music starts as she opens the door.
I’m sure Blake knows just how epic her sister really is. This movie is a classic.
Ryan Reynolds is a lucky man... to be Robyn Lively's brother-in-law. I'm not kidding.
The retro 80s outfits though like SO ADORABLE
Right? Everything about the 80s was better then now. Ugh!
It's not retro. It was the 80s!
I wouldn’t have left my friend hanging like that tho...she would have been popular 2 no doubt👌🏽
The realest comment
Here!
Right she just left her friend Polly in the dust
For real!
You need to see the whole terrible movie and be pleasantly surprised🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
@@johnjordan6032 whatttt it's not that bad 💀
For those of you that are kids/teenagers in the 2000's up to now: I'm so sorry.
Being a teenagers in the early 2000s were amazing also a being a kids in the 90s were great. Late 2000s & onward was not so great.
What do you mean ?I grew up in the 2000's but liked this movie
AWDTH1111 exactly the good ol days I loved this movie
Yeah, shame we missed this corny movie when it first came out.
I really feel bad for them lol
Little do many people know that the main actress is Blake Lively's older sister. Love this movie!!!😍
I remember them playing this film on the Disney Channel on repeat! I still adore this film!
Me too :)) 🤣🤣😂😂💯💯👏🏼👏🏼
Me too
Me too!!!!
John Hughes: "I swear I had absolutely nothing to do with this."
My favorite scene from this movie! Being a child in the 80s was the best.
Wasn't it though
I agree ❤
Lol. The gangster in the car. 😂
That me
That's Rhett, the "top that" guy.
@@sanabria87 simon I was.young
He was Getting his LIFE! 🤣😂
I absolutely love 80s fashion.
Kry Kry Stott i was gonna say that! Cool
when you lose a lot of weight! lol
Lmao 😂😂
DEAD 😂
H
Goals xD
😂🤣😂🤣so true!
This movie is my childhood
It's the guys in the car at the rap part that look going on 40 and the clapping wen she enters class that got me weak. Loool.. classic80s
I wish Mtv would turn this into a show like they did with Teen Wolf, that would be amazing
Julianne Hannes That’s a great idea 💡
Yea, but the show was so different from these movies. Like MTV went in a completely different direction in Beacon Hills 😂. They’d probably make her fighting demons like the new Sabrina
Better than CW it would become really dark
Umm...
So I take it you weren't a big fan of Sabrina The Teenage Witch?
@@JackDManheim In no way, shape or form was Sabrina a TV show based on this film. Particularly given that the "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" comic books, upon which the show was based, predate this movie by more than 3 decades.
For that matter, this movie was originally pitched as a female Teen Wolf but as it got adapted she became a witch instead. Their origin stories, both fictional and production-wise, bear no resemblance. Louise is a reincarnated witch regaining her powers in her new body - while I believe Sabrina's magic was inherited.
Perish the thought that anyone ever imagined these two stories were related in any way, beyond both having the word "teen" and "witch" in their titles, it's a disservice to fans, in both directions.
The black and white top with the red belt was everything
"Hey there Suga, won't you ride with us
Come on pretty baby, don't you put a fuss
It looks like you really caught my eye
Jump in the car so we can all fly
Be cool baby, don't you put up a fight
Whether it's Wednesday or Saturday night
We'd like you to come to our world
Cuz every cool guy needs a popular girl!"
Those gangsters in their bandanas 🤣🤣🤣
Why is it that in alot of movies like this, the 'geeky' girl is always a beautiful girl, yet no one seems to realize this til they simply change clothing.
Anyway, this was just on TV last night-I had assumed I never saw it, as I was very young when it came out, but then somehow I knew all the words to the songs, so I guess I had, lol. I also had no idea that she was Blake Livey's older sister.
Spellbinder is another cool witch film.
lol same. i saw this on netflix and was like why does this look familiar
so true same goes with A Walk to Remember
chris green Philly her and vlake do k8nda look alike they have a brother who also was an actor too!
chris green Philly oops i meant blake not vlake 😂😂😂
I used to rent this movie so much in the early 90s lol
I had it on permanent loan I think, video man knew I'd renew it! Those where the day huh!
I remember this used to come on the Disney Channel back in the 90s
I LOVE this scene. I always wanted this to happen to me in school. Always wanted to be popular.
We believe in you David. You too can become the most popular girl in school.
Her class clapping for her when she comes in LOL
"I'm gonna be the most popular giiiiiiirl.."
i'm 35 and the nostalgia just hit's so hard as i get older :(, i'm a guy and i love this movie, and as cheesy as this movie is, it's still more enjoyable than 90% of modern films,
Wait until you're 44, like me...😮💨
Sending virtual hug
1:16 the guy in the red bandana is a MOOD
When she walked into class
I'm surprised they let Mr. Weaver come back and teach considering what he did was very innapropriate
Doobie1975 in real life he would've lost his job & probably labeled as a predator
@@imsoshaniece5320 You nailed it. He was acting crazy when suddenly he fell down the stairs. Due to Louise's brother tossing the voodoo doll down the stairs. 😂
Just hate she left her friend in the dust :(
Polly leaving Louise was the sad part.
Didnt like how she dis her friend like that popular was a big deal in high school
Same here
Yes i wonder if she gonna be on cobra kai next season 3 or 4 she was in karate kid part 3 played daniel girlfriend
Another movie where the unpopular outcast was absolutely ridiculously gorgeous. 😅
Happens irl too
Her outfits are to die for. I wish I grew up in the 80's.
Love her outfits
Always felt so bad for her friend here 😂😂
I wonder if I am ever going to be as cool as that guy in the suspenders...
You will never be as cool as Rhet. Top that!
David now Top Hat that !
Anyone catch the guy in red bandana dancing in the car 😆
This has been my ringtone for about ten years. I will never change it to anything else
You still have it
@@danschumacher5427 yup! I want to be the most popular girlllllllll
That Vato was having TOO MUCH fun!!! 😂😭😂😂
I guess I’m the only one who always got upset about how she just forgot all about her bestfriend
Nope, I hated it too.
I hated it too. And it made no sense in the plot.
No I agree.
She could've made her best friend popular but no all she wanted was to get popular for she can get laid by Brad.
Nah, that made my blood boil too. I felt so bad for Polly. She was a really true friend to Lois and just ended up getting left in the dust.
Is it wrong of me to want to replicate all her outfits in 2021, LOL?
If You remember this movie you had a good childhood!!
I love this movie I use to watch it all the time and dance in my room when I was a kid
Watching this makes me wish I was a teenager in the 80's. Sometimes...
I love the era I grew up in:
On The 6 | Jennifer Lopez
Bring It On | Gabrielle Union & Kirsten Dunst
Dosage | Collective Soul
10 Things I Hate About You | Heath Ledger & Julia Stiles
I can't make up my mind.
Haha! He gives them “street cred.”
Quarantine who else is watching
They need to bring back lace skirts like that
Hell yes. And I'm no better equipped at 46 than I was at 14 (i.e. 1989), to make that thing look as good as it does on Robyn. But they were an adorable reminder that straight skirts are boring and part of an overall late-80s wardrobe style that the generation doesn't get enough credit for. Robyn's wardrobe in TW is, in my opinion, only barely dated at all. If you saw it in something modern, it might still say 80s, but it won't shout it with a megaphone.
The same goes for most of Ami Dolenz wardrobe in "She's Out of Control," another 1989 teen cult classic. THAT"S the stuff we need to resurrect as 'vintage.'
Its funny when she is wearing that amulet that is when the spell starts...plus i love her outfits so cute
Literally one of my all time favorite movies!! I wanted every outfit Louise wore (I was like 9 or 10 when I first saw this).
When teenagers are winning at life and you're still struggling as an adult. 😂🥺🙄😬🤣💔😯
I thought it was funny to see Mr Weaver applauding Louise as she entered the classroom. At least he respected her after the voodoo doll incident.
He didn't respect her; that was just a part of the popularity spell.
@@RTCPhotoWork hes like "yas queen"
I was never a fan of chick flicks in general. However when it comes to this movie, I absolutely adore it ❤
How dare they make the most popular girl ride in the BACK seat? SMH!
I thought the same thing.
Wish I could find this song on Spotify
Become popular. Snub your only friend that excepted the real you.
Fire Crotch that’s high school, it’s a shallow social nightmare.
She didn't mean to snub her.
You just ruined every 80s movie plot.
"expected"...?
Similar to "Can't Buy Me Love". Very sad to see.
I can’t believe this!! I use to watch this as a little girl I love this movie and little monsters
I came across this movie two nights ago and I saw this scene. Even though it was so cheesy I liked the scene. I wanted to see if they had it on youtube. Of course they did. This just screams 80s. I bet even when they were filming this part, nobody thought it was hilariously bad.
But it's timeless! Fit for the time period.
That one guy looks like a frigging Ken doll lol
I bet he's all smooth down front too
Greg Gates eric bischoff?
He’s also like 35
This movie brings back so many memories
God DAMN! I LOVE THE 80’S I was born in 2007 and I love the 80’s! Even tho I wasn’t born yet!
Look up Mallwave/Vaporwave
I was born at the tail end of ‘89 and I refuse to call myself an official 80s baby UNTIL I realize how unforgivingly 80s this movie still was!
Watching this movie now a days feels like a fever dream
They should've included a scene at the end of her and Polly making up. That remains the worst thing about this otherwise great film.
Ughhhhh i wanna watch the whole movie but i cant find it 😭😭
God I wish I had her clothes, LOL!
Go to Myrarna or any secondhand store
Why do I get the sense that this film was just fun as heck to make lol
Ok but I’d still wear the outfit at 1:34
Same lol
I use to want that peach skirt she has on sooo bad
I wanted all of her outfits during this song, haha.
Jenny N i wanted her. I wanted all HER clothes OFF.....
Woww. I remember watching this movie for the first time........I watched it on a video cassette with my sister and my neighbor. I was about 13 years old......NOW I AM 41......and I remembered the TOP THAT SONG.............TOP THAT
I'm the same age as you and this movie was EVERYTHING when I was a kid. I bought it on DVD a few years back because it brings back such great memories.
I'm 41 too! I always loved this movie! I haven't bought the DVD yet but I will!
Man I loved this movie so much when I was a kid it made me want to go to public school.
She also starred in Karate Kid III
Yeah she was, I wish her and Daniel had been a couple. But I know she had a boyfriend. I just thought they were cute together.
'cause every coolest guy needs a popular girl!
I loved the fashion in this movie! One of my childhood favorites.
Me too, especially that denim jacket that the singer gives her.
My favourite part of the movie! :) xx
+Surah Online mine to I like it to I have been popular in school I was in middle school during the summer and high school I liked it the reason why I was I was talented and kind and during high school I got my position as a leader I have been that way ever since I am still and I was a good rolemodel in English and science and I was always a good rolemodel for my teachers I love your picture surah I gotta go im doing some stuff I hope youll talk to me bye
Same! I wish it was my life
Robin Lively who played Louise and the one who played her best friend Polly (Mandy Ingber) were the only ones who were teenagers in real life. The rest were in their mid to late 20s. Lively was 15 and Ingber was 17. Btw, Mandy Ingber is a well-known Yoga instructor. According to IMDB, the movie was filmed in December 1987.
That black miniskirt/red belt outfit is TO DIE!!
I'm...also kind of attracted to Rhett the rapper in this song lol
Love how she has her own theme music!
Classic right here...🔥
That orange outfit with the white belt is dope af, and of course the black white and red is a classic.
This explains how she attracted all of the men when she moved to Twin Peaks.
Lol people clapping when you walk into class. Hilarious
That guy with the red bandana 1:17 cx
Omfg I'm cracking up with
LMAOOOOOO
Mr. Weaver smiling I always died laughing at that part.
Her jacket looks like my grandmother's old sewing basket.
always thought she had the coolest clothes in this
This ran constantly on HBO when I was growing up… it walked so that the craft, holloweentown, Charmed, Sabrina, etc could run 😹🔮🧙♀️ 🪄
Daniel Lester Gauthier was way hotter than Tom Cruise.
I used to think he was Tom cruise for the longest time.. 😅🤣🤣
His middle name is Lester?
Best movie ever!!!!💯💯💯💯... Just wish it would play more on tv...
Angel Hinson I know! my mom and I would watch this together almost everyday. I was able to find it at Wal-Mart for like 5 dollars. I also think that I seen it on Netflix not too long ago too.
This is the best video ever! I drive around with my 5.0 and jam this!
I grew up with this movie.
I absolutely love this movie ❤️❤️❤️
Watched it on Amazon Prime! Lovely 80's
This is my favorite scene from this movie!
I die when she walks into class to the applause 😂
This movie came out when I was in middle school! I still love it so much! This and Debbie Gibson😀
Amo este filme inesquecível....
I love the 80s decade! Love love this movie. Watched it today. Dec 30 2021
When Louise is doing her makeup in the school mirror...THOSE GINORMOUS SHOULDER PADS!!!
This is what I imagine the 80s were like. Just dancing and electrocuted hair
1:00 dude’s like “I brought a football to remind you I play football”
that hair, my god. that takes me back.
The days when it was rare to be obese. Everyone was active doing some type of activity. Technology is slowly destroying us. We are getting lazier and lazier. I drove down to the playground a couple days ago and it was empty. At that same park, I had to fight to get on a swing when I was a kid. smh
Yep, I was a kid in the 80s and there was like 1 "fat" kid in school and by today's standards he wouldn't even be overweight. It's insane how fat kids are these days!
*All the more space for you now, no?*
