Day 4112 The captain is navigating us through the Steampunk System. There are guides and rewards for following them, yet the captain, amidst a majority vote of reading the guides, decides not to heed our call. This ship might just be pieces by the time we're through here. Hopefully, Jerry protects us all. Looking forward to the next mission log, if there'd be one
I love Jordan. Let's not read the guide or follow the quest lines and then get mad when it doesn't work lol.

Well think about it, he (and also I) grew up on a Minecraft that required no guide or questline. You didn’t go to the internet for help, you did things until they worked or until someone else told you or showed you something cool. It’s fun to figure things out when you don’t always know the correct way to do things or possible outcomes.

This was literally what he did when it came to the oxygen tank. The quest UI has obvious tells to the order they're supposed to be done in, and he neglects to follow the book 😅
Also, SonicHorizon - I have a friend *JUST* like that. Irritating. When the dev (or in this case, the modpack developer) creates tutorials and *things to read* - then read them. They didn't put it in there for it to be ignored, they put it in there because they deemed it necessary to know (to enjoy/progress the game/pack). It's not necessary for you to learn how to make an iron farm with villagers, it's necessary for you to know iron golems spawn due to villagers. It's not necessary to know what the best things are in tetra, but it's necessary to know tetra exists and is (by far) better than any tools of his.
I think it'll be about half a decade in which I've tried to tell Jardon about the U and R hotkeys to JEI. You don't need to know about the item, just learn that ( *While hovering over any item with the mouse* in your inventory ) pushing U does something very unique, and pushing R does something unique. Both of them are different, and both of them are more useful than anything you could possibly teach somebody about any pack. :p - Every person I play with, I etch that knowledge into their brains. You just need to teach them those two keys, and the world is your oyster to learn and poke around in. (R is for Recipes, U is for Uses)

Can't hit the birds? The punt gun was literally designed for that! Although, to be fair...it's a little small in the game. Google it, it's quite a sight! The recoil on it can really get a canoe moving!

wastes the oakskin scroll despite clearly hovering over an instruction manual in jei. "why did it do that?" "How does this work?"
The part with the soul springs literally tells you to put Lava next to them so they grow, he's a cool UA-camr but he really needs to actually start reading quests
But he *does* read quests. About 3 words before deciding he gets the gist.
Jardon, why don't you breed the gobbies? Then you could have an entire army of ore doublers to keep your villagers company! Gobbies are also good to help defend the villagers as they are one of the few friendly NPCs that will fight back against hostile mobs!

@@lagle8 on any modpack I play that has the gobbies mod in it always let me breed them. I don't know about this specific steampunk craft mod pack but all the ones I've played in the past have let me breed them. They run on the same AI as villagers so you would think they would have the same breeding mechanics in this pack as well.

I don't understand exactly what freaked Jordan out at beginning. I get there was a creeper, but how did he notice it almost before it exploded.
They make a hissing noise right before they blow up. Jordan is very familiar with said sound lol

Someone should add a mod where you could plant golden carrots and harvest golden carrots. Same with planting a golden acorn produces gapple trees. Just make it take like 10-15 mins to grow to balance it out.
Can anyone tell me what happened to the SDMP? It feels like it vanished without a finale and I haven't seen any announcements about it ending. Anything recently uploaded seems like delayed content from weeks ago. Admittedly I don't watch Cap's other content, so if he's addressed it here I missed it.

I hate that he does off stream house building. It's fun watching people build structures but super boring watching most of these mechanisms and factory buildings. But I guess that's just me 😅
