  • In an effort to acclimate the boys to many, many things we took them on our Road Trip to town. Of course, they go EVERYWHERE we do but we haven't been anywhere lately. They do pretty good and every new encounter helps to get these boys social. Can't wait 'til their last shots so they can get down and walk on their own. They're getting very big!

    Awwwww, they are both just toooooo cute!!!!!! My beautiful Chow-Chow, Angel, whom I had for 15 years, used to go with me everywhere. We called them field trips. She'd get so excited! She always sat in the back seat, in the center, and stared out the front window. I hope you and your boys have many wonderful, adventure-filled years together

    Awe, you dogs are adorable!!!! My family used to own a black chow, but he passed away around 10 or so years ago. And before that, my dad owned a golden chow . Funny enough, he named him Leo.

    We have a pair of cocker spaniels and when we ride in the truck, they each have a folding jump seat that we put down on each side or they can sit on the floor in the middle. I think they like the truck as much as my SUV cause they are right up where the windows are and they have discovered that they have access to a BIG BACK WINDOW! lol The looks on thier faces when they saw that was priceless!

    thank you for the answer. a breeder gave e the same advice and because my chow chow will be my first dog after a long time, we had a dobermann and a pointer before, i wasn´t sure about taking one puppys or two.... but i think i will take one because i never had a chow chow and i never had a puppy. the other dogs were all grown up rescue dogs...

    Yes, indeed they do. We have trained them to respond to our commands when something is "okay." They will bark at the door until we tell them to "be done" and if any of us are sleeping, they will bark in a more alert/warning tone until they get the okay. We just gave birth to our first child and they protect him, too. With our supervision they are very good with warnings, listening and obeying when it's time to stand down. Leo guards Joe and Max guards me. They both keep an eye on our new son.

    Ah thanks for the tips! : D I'll check them out! I actually "normally" live in Denmark in Europe, and I already found a breeder at home whom I've talked to and feel comfortable working with. They're registered within the Danish Kennel Club as well, so I'm quite certain that they're doing a good job. : D Thanks for the reply!

      Thank you. We lost Leo last November but I can tell you that neither Max nor Leo like anything near their paws! Despite the fact that ever since we had them as puppies I would handle their paws to get them prepared for just that, toe nail clipping. I have tried that Rotating file, I have tried regular clippers and the ones that form to their nails. It's a chore no matter what but at some point the pain it musts cause outweighs the difficulty in doing it. Now that Max is alone, though, I may be able to take him to a groomer and have them do it. I wouldn't have trusted Leo at a groomer without a muzzle but Max is very sweet-tempered and would probably allow it. Their nails would naturally cut themselves down when I walked them on the pavement around our block ... but we have moved now and Max has a big play-yard.

    are they siblings from the same litter??? and if yes, is it hard to have siblings? i´ve heard that if you get two dogs at the same time from the same litter, they will build up a strong connection to eachother and not to their owner... I think it sounds right but i am not really sure because we never had two dogs at the same time... if you don´t mind telling me your own experience with this issue

    NO LES GUSTA ESTAR ENCERRADOS NI LA MUSICA FUERTE.........😘😘😘😘

    • @cherriemater
      @cherriemater  4 роки тому

      They're in the back seat, mostly, and not near the loud music. Music does not, generally, bother them. Very rarely do we play our music loudly because my own ears are so sensitive but thank you for your concern.
