Worth noting is that 682 responded with a containment breach when they used 999 on it. That SCP whose power is bringing people pure joy and it even influenced 682. Even while the effects of the joy were still lingering, it still turned murderous. It's not just the cross testing.

like i get how 106 could get to 682's containment chamber, but how the heck did 953 get there?
of the lot of them, 953 feels a bit like the odd one out as not one of the more well-known SCP's, which is probably a good thing for this particular story. might be boring if it was just 173 or 096.
if I remember correctly, it *was* a crosstest between 953 and 682, and 106 got in the way
953 was peobably at site-19 at the time, then was transfered t0 site-17 after escaping the site, since she is so smart she countered her side effect of needing a fox part in human form by going to a furry convention

I always wonder and joke if monsters and gods actually did exist in real life, just that all of them had been captured by a real life version of the SCP foundation.
Its plausible that some of the SCPs are real, but definitely not all. Scientists have found a way to literally scan the entire ocean for large creatures, and nothing was outta the ordinary, which crosses out 169 and 3000. Thats about all my evidence but uh, think about a human with a sword as hot as the sun standing right on our earth, our earth would just be destroyed wouldn't it?

@Martin Pierce I completely forgot she could polymorph, but even if she could 682 would adapt to whatever she morphed into. I do think 682 would have a pretty hard time against 106 but would eventually adapt.
