- The SCP Foundation were the former protector of humanity, whom stood in the darkness fighting, shielding, and hiding anomalies from the public and the general population.
Now, the SCP Foundation has betrayed its very own principles and mission statements. Abandoning their missions and adopting a new one, the complete extermination of the human race.
How will humanity fight its own greatest and the most powerful ally throughout all history? Humanity can only suffer, and those who fought, would fall to their knees. As the United Nations Global Occult Coalition, their biggest rival, has fallen.

@duolingo4785 the foundation discovered a malicious entity within everyone, which is the concept of pain, empathy and more. I think if you die, the entity grows stronger and makes you feel everything. That's why there were alot of foundation staff who looked lifeless

Is SCP-5000 something that removes the humanity out of humanity? Because if so, then I despise it. But... where did it even come from? Who obtained the knowledge first, was it the O5, The Ethics Committee, or a random person, and then they spread it around? I feel bad for the humanity that fell victim to this SCP. They did not deserve this stupid thing.
From what I've heard from the channel "SCP Explained" which may or may not be true, considering that if you search "SCP Explained content farm", there are many videos saying the channel is a content farm and that each SCP they cover, may or may not fabricate new lore or cut some lore:
SCP-5000 is the suit, not the anomaly. The SCP Foundation started a project to essentially explore and map out the human psychospace - I'm not sure what it is, but it is connected to the human consciousness. This project is called Project PNEUMA. In this space, the Foundation found an entity they call "IT". It is believed that the Entity basically anchored itself in humanity when humans first appear (do know that as time of writing this reply, I haven't read about SCP-5000 for a while, so it's best if you read it yourself). Anyway, when the Entity anchored itself, it became a parasite.
From what the Foundation may or may not have stated, the Entity's existence is the reason why humans feel empathy and pain. Essentially the fundamental things that makes humans human - humanity. This Entity is also connected to another SCP which I forgot. Something about when humans die, they don't move on to the afterlife, but instead remain 'alive' and conscious in their corpses, stuck in constant and eternal agony - becoming a food source of the Entity. The Entity feeds on pain and use humans as a food source. Think of the Entity as a farmer and humans as vegetables. Vegetables needs time to grow before harvested, this concept applies to this context.
The Foundation do have a cure, and have administered it to the rest of the Foundation - those that do not oppose nor quit. Now this is when I'm confused and others are as well. If the Entity feeds when humans die, and the Foundation have found a cure, why kill humans? It is also known that SCP-682 knows of the Entity and is the reason why he wants to kill all life - to in a way kill the Entity.

They talked in the game "containment breach" about a protocol called: "If you can‘t defeat them, join them". The O5 council was going to release all SCPs and let them roam around the facility until they escaped. High-tech weapons like the special scrambler goggles to avoid looking 096 in the face are also getting destroyed and the blueprints burnt.
