I'm fairly sure that this series will go down as the one documenting the Yogscast slow decent into insanity. I can see it now;
Poor Lewis will be in the hospital rocking back and forth muttering about Galgador, Duncan will be etching pictures of PCB's into the wall with his fingernails and Sjin will be in the gardens picking flower petals and dropping them in cups of water trying to do spells.

Is it me, or have they completely forgot the 6 blocks of galgador they got from a quest reward?
Honestly this is just putting a bunch of mods together and making all of the recipient extremely expensive and calling it a challenging pack.

***** Isn't that a lot of games though? Every mmo I've played is challenging but once you learn everything you just grind items, even vanilla minecraft has the challenge of building a base and then you just mine tunnels and cut trees, occasionally building something neat. I'm not saying this is good but it occurs outside of this modpack.

With all do respect he might be he is using emeralds to make the enchanted books but if you enchant a book with one level then it still is an enchanted book and all it would take is 2 diamonds, 4 obsidian, and a book to make an enchanting table then it would only one level and one book per enchanted book.
Stephen Tomaiko Yeah but even using levels, there's still gonna be a shortage of it quite fast. Sure they can get more levels than emeralds, but that's not gonna help them, once they have no levels left, they would be stuck again.....I personally think that enchanted books in a recipe for an item that must be mass-produced is a bit extreme
It would be easy if they could extract the liquid xp and then just get level 1 enchants... But I dont think Lewis evens knows you can just enchant normal books XD
daviyo5 the original reason for the magical wood and the ender-core is to get your enchanting table up to full levels with as little as two blocks. so it was basically a way to reward people who enchant alot, by making the set-up take less space.
daviyo5 levels are far easier to farm then emeralds. they could even use botania to make a mob grinder that would generate levels
like a boss or they could make a dark room mob spawner with some electric fans. but it would probably take a ton of fans screaming at them via reditt to get them to even consider the idea, and then about a month's worth of episodes to actually make it.
As someone who plays a lot of these packs now it's amusing how manually they attempt to do stuff. Duncan is manually watering plants to get more of them rather than taking the time to set up the plants in the Steve carts farm they already have

Same here I love watching it although sometimes I wanna scream at the screen but I love the minecraft comes to life mod the best with theses 3

Also Lewis everything in the quest book that uses galgadorian metal skip it and if you can move on after then go help Duncan. I think this because Lewis you're wasting your time on the quests to get galgadorian metal when you could be helping Duncan make the galgadorian metal then all your quests will be done and so will Duncan's. I know Duncan's and Lewis's quests are both complicated but if you work together you'll get twice as much done or at least I think you will.
Also if you give me the ip I'll come help lol just kidding you don't have to and you probably won't and I'm fine with that lol

At last the trio learned. There had been no war, no great upheaval. The inhabitants of Minecraftia had been driven mad by their own tedious creations. Defeated and hopelessly unable to advance, there was no relief. In the end the had only one escape, the sweet release of death by nuclear fire. To end the world of it's collective suffering.
I wanna see their reactions when they see the quest where you have to make an advanced solar panel from mekanism. It takes 24 galgadorian metal, about 140 ender pearls and a whole bunch more expensive stuff

Mario Sanchez Polidore he could also set a filter on that valve so he doesn't need to break that pipe everytime...
Mario Sanchez Polidore Doesn't even need to do that, all he has to do is use the filter on the pressure chamber interface he already has and everything will be pretty much completely automated. Dump the raw materials into the hopper and in less than a minute all the finished products will be in the chest.
Seth Baker But he has a lot to make so doing more at the same time will speed it up
Mario Sanchez Polidore Don't think you understand how the filter works. When the filter is properly set it will speed up the processes 50 fold, what was taking him several episodes to make by screwing around with the interfaces pulling stuff out before it could be made into what he wanted and he wouldn't need to deal with the hassle of taking the pipe off and putting it back on.
With the filter set he could put all the base materials needed for for the final products he was looking for in the hopper and with the filter set properly it wouldn't touch anything in there until it was the item he wanted. So he would put the plant seeds, redstone and regular iron (or compressed since they made a bunch at the start) and the pressure chamber would do it's thing on each of those until finally making the finished product which would then be sucked out by the interface with the filter set.
The filter on the block is probably one of the most advanced filters in most mods, it has several filter options. There is an option to basically drag the item type you want into the filter and it will then set the filter for that item, or if you don't have one completed yet you can very simply just type in the item's name and anything that isn't that item will stay in the chamber.
I don't know why i bother trying to explain things like this to the yogscast community, the vast majority of you watch the yogscast who have zero idea of what they are doing and think you know the mods when you or they don't know shit about them. Take a few minutes each day to watch youtubers like Direwolf20 who plays with the very people who make these mods, maybe then you will not sound like a dumbass who has no idea what you are talking about. Or better yet, look at the various mods' wikis or actually play the dumb thing and you will know more about it.
The heated furnace is right, Lewis IS incompetent. And so are the rest of the yogscast.
duncan you need to make the growth accelerators and give them power and it speeds up the growth dramatically
I swear this is my favorite series right now, they are going crazy, only talk about idiot stuff and ducan and his family always makes me laugh
after some research, it seems to be impossible to make large lumps of galgador except through the pneumatic recipe
by the time they get to space.

The automation is key to this modpack - You need to automate dirt and stone production to have resources for later stages of the game. Use pipes to automate everything.

I can see it now. They will, after 100 episodes, finally have what they need to actually blast off.
And then, just as it happened in their previous series, something goes horribly wrong and they do something like not holding down the space bar and their rocket is ruined resulting in Lewis and Duncan never ever playing Minecraft again.
Sjin wouldn't care because he got bored 50 episodes prior and just made a farm.

I knew that eventually one of them will crack from the pressure and the reaction I got was better than expected XD
The reason your dayblooms/nightshades/hydroangeas are breaking is because the pack is set to have flowers that produce mana from infinite sources break after a certain amount of time. The best thing you can do is make some flowers that consume fuel (endoflames, thermalilies, ect) so you can make more mana.

100 episodes later, Duncan and the gang, still haven't left the Earth's atmsophere and Sjin is still doing botania......
This series was pretty shocking to begin with, but I'm really enjoying watching them go insane while building super complex stuff out of minimum resources :P Always like a bit of Blast Off nowadays.
I think you guys should go back to part 1 in the book, if you start their it might make everything easier, maybe the early stuff gives you what you need later on.

I'm concerned by the fact that there are people in the world who find these kinds of mod packs fun. Not messing around with friends, actually working through things and doing it legitimately. What kind of life is that?

If I remember correctly, some of the pressurization items that you need can be found in those abandoned bases that you guys seem to be living in.

You know, for all the lack of progress they are making, I think what redeems this series is watching the guys break.

9:20 That is some grade-A trolly BS mod makers. How would you be able to _craft_ a machine that you have no idea how it works. If anything it should be that you have to unlock the recipe as craftable (e.g. Ancient Warfare mod).
if you use higher level enchanted books (by using more emeralds) then you get more magical wood each time you craft so it's more efficient. Also hold right click on the liquid XP tank to drain it into your own XP

Just so you know, adding thrusters to the rotor blades of a helicopter will still not allow you to use it in space. The blades still need air that it can force down beneath it.

I wonder if they realize why they move so slowly through these quest books is because the earlier quests set up the infrastructure to handle the later quests.
I was going to start playing this mod pack but than this episode came out lol.
I know its a bit late by a couple episodes but not only did they Patricide they were also Regicides (killer of royals)
Explore the dungeons that are everywhere, chests have a good chance to have any item you may need

666 Episodes later, they final build a rocket. 2 episodes after, the series ends, as Lewis goes insane from the innate lack of progression that goes unimpeded.

You can also just add some mods to make it a bit easier ,like thermal expansion or a crop mod or something like that automates recources.
I don't suppose the Twilight Forest mod is included? Think it'd be a thousand times easier to move there. XD
The mane point of the modpack is automation because it takes a lot of time to get 66 rain seeds and emeralds but when you start automatiting the things you can it becomes extremely easy

You really don't need emeralds to make enchanted books. You just need an enchantment table and 1 level per book

Lewis needs to do the faster furnaces quest in getting started before he tries to use a heat furnace
When Lewis started describing what Charged Cestus Quartz needs and it started escalating, I was expecting him to go: "F*CK THIS SHIT! I'm quitting this series!"
Let us see how long it takes Lewis (or anyone for that matter) to remember/find the blocks of galgadorian blocks they got from a quest and left in a chest until they needed it later.... **folds hands patiently**

would it have helped to put some more time in a computer and not in making hard stuff manually? i mean if they couldnt order it via computer it would help alot xD
Guys, just spawn in some rockets and go mess around. It's hilarious to watch you flail, but when doing half a quest takes 2 episodes, it eggs a little old.
I will laugh so fucking hard when they run out of lives right after Lewis makes an ingot of galgador.

With the amount of resources they need there won't be an earth left when they finally take off xD
The number one problem with the quests taking so long is that they dont have the right amount of recources for it.
Since the beginning of the series they gather everything themself (except from the meteorite and the carrots), cobblestone, metal, rainplant seeds, all of it was manually mined or farmed. So why dont they automate it, just like in agrarian skies. I dont have any experience with this modpack so i dont know how they can do it, but there MUST be a way to automate something.

Duncan you dont need to break the pipe every time, just flip the switch off.
