Out of all the bosses, this one has the best theme. It really feels like a climactic showdown, as if the fate of Super Earth is resting entirely on the successful destruction of this freakishly advanced machine. It's a fitting background track to the cacophony friendly fire accidents, and the army of illuminate coming in to join the chaos

Listening to this after wiping out the automatons in HD2... I don't know what sort of eldritch horror runs the illuminate society now. The Great Eyes were machines that could be destroyed... Now what will it be?
They need to add these songs to hell divers 2. All these themes are just fantastical. He'll divers 2 doesn't really have that great music. The theme when you're extracting and launching to the mission is pretty good though
unfortunately I agree. There's the banger menu music and the infil/extract themes, but everything inbetween isn't that memorable. this illuminate boss track tho makes you feel like you're ending the war and saving the world tho, its crazy good the "become more than you are" at the bottom is pretty fitting of this theme
@@ilikebarrelsthe illuminate tracks god leaked a while ago for HD2 and theyre honestly pretty good. Theyre no HD1 illuminate boss theme "end the war, save the world" kinda feel, but they have this pretty unique aura, like youre constantly on your guard as if the illuminate are gonna appear out of nowhere at any time. Its basically the musical embodiment of trekking through the jungle, very mindful of invisible snipers you can't see with your only hope in fighting back is basically praying that said invisible snipers miss their first shot and reveal their position. Its pretty nerve racking.

It's all fine until the mind controllers start arriving.
Shoot the orb before it reaches you. The eye boss launches like 4 of those simult.
@@albertoj.mollinedo4116 The orb isn't typically the problem. It's when they teleport and immediately use the AOE waves that reverses your controls.
Last update the scout/drones do a mindflaying attack too. and councillors are way more frequent now.

I got like 7 randoms and people rage quitting. Everyone called the distress beacon so we had an effective obstacle to take cover bathing LOL
Tried out the first game, fought a great eye through multiplayer. That shit was so wild
