I had issues with the game. Way complex. Its absolute incredible chess amazing game. So much craziness only a few can totally comprehend the complexities in that game.

Greg Battis the more incredible thing isn't that there are people who can actually understand this game. It's more impressive when you consider that carlsen had to come up with these ideas to begin with.
It's like when people hear a really difficult piano piece and they're like 'wow it's incredible you can play that!' And it's true, but think about hwo hard it was for the person who had to write it.
Anybody can study a chess game and find the answers to why they played certain moves, but only few could actually conceive the ideas on their own accord

VK misses the point of the queen sacrifice. It was not to take the bishop, it was to detour the knight.

It reminds me of what Carlsen said once in one of his interviews. He said that sometimes there are threats and it looks very serious but in fact its not so serious that it looks. So you can think to continue your plan and here is exactly what he did. very good lesson. thanks again.

Really really like this kind of lecture. It's very good didacticaly speaking to go over the whole system again in a summarizing way within the same lecture. That way it's not required to study on our own as much to get this in our head. Very helpful for someone like me who doesn't like books so much

at 11:38 the black should have played the knight to D3 before checking the king with his pawn.

Very funny. In China, almost nobody plays chess (we call it international chess). Through my 12 years education, I have never seen anyone even know rules of chess. Most people play Chinese chess (similar to chess but simpler) or Go. Don’t why we have some strong players in chess nevertheless.
