Rafa, my friend. Glad you like it! I have good news for you and all NW fans: A highly respected finnish rock magazine"Soundi" have already previewed the whole album (they have listened it one time in press info at Levi, Lapland). I've red it (in finnish, of course) They say (in short and superficial referral) that the album is an insane ambitious work of art, which is far more grandioso of what symphonic have ever achieved and so on and so on... Their only worry was, that this is maybe too hard to digest for some of us. I am a finn, and we finns don't brag about anything, so that must be true. Nightynight for you all!
I did just realize that the baby that was dropped off in the beginning was the grown-up that they show at the end. They are definitely demonstrating how we all grow up and mentally isolated from each other, as well as from the environment as it's being destroyed slowly.
This videoclip is a masterpiece
And then when they show the old man, they show a baby next to him, starting it all over again, then they show the beautiful vista that was ignored the whole time.
Is not about enviroment only. Is about people being cut out from real human life and mentally controlled by the elite through technology and screen devices. Like television (tell-a-vision) and -smart- dumb-phones.

Tuomas brain is on a different level. Not a song but a masterful composition. Start the bus another road trip.
Maybe place where he born and lives countryside marks much to his thinking. He travels a lot and see big cities so he can think sides between home and world outside. Of course he has gift to make ideas to songs.

Great reaction from you and spot on. I have been working in professional IT for approximately 40 years - and at the same time been and still being - a nature nerd. So your analysis were spot on. I was experiencing the nature before IT went ballistic - then dived into the endless possibilities of IT - but now, I am back spending all the time, experiencing the nature, and how we are destroying it with all kinds of noise, pollution, waste and so on.
This is Nightwish at their best - Toumas, Floor and Troy are all deep nature nerds (they all dreamt about being biologists when they were young) - and luckily they haven't forgotten their passion. This song is a masterpiece and a wake up call - as Helo spotted right away. Superb reaction from you 👍 🤘 🤘

The irony of posting that as a YT comment. The amount of technology needed behind making that happen is staggering. And in this era of covid-19, technology has saved us from a total collapse, allowing people to have some sort of connection although not physical, able to work from home keeping employment etc etc etc.
I wouldn't say we're slaves but I agree most people are far too dependent on it. They can't function without it.
Using available technology to enhance our existence and help us is not wrong but there has to be balance.

An overwhelming piece of music, as always. The analyses of Heloisa is impressive after hearing this for the first time.
Yes we are glorifying a pimped version of our-self in a seemingly make-able world sacrificing our true natural being. Being social is diminished to being electronically connected, as if friends are people clicking an appreciative button instead of someone we've actually met face to face. We fail to see the people we pass in the street, feeling 'connected' through electronic devices. Loneliness and polarization are just two obvious symptoms that can be seen everywhere.
So Yes this is a powerful message.

Good commenting, i'm thinking this is purposefully pretty repetitive and "busy" song, describing well of the "noise" message. Also did you notice, how hard it was to focus during the video (multiple instances of people, the instagram model etc), tells the message that we are losing our focus to concentrate. What a fantastic music video!!! Ofcourse the song is referring to our modern obsessions such as vanity, ego, social media, selfies, technology, and big pharma pushing pills. We've disconnected from nature in favor of our own obsessions. Us as humans bringing our "Noise" to the planet, an otherwise soundless world.
We are so distracted by the comforts of technology, we forget to appreciate the true beauty in this world. As The monks show, we are "digital ghouls". We cant appreciate true beauty even if it's right in front of us.
We worship technology and social media almost like it's a religion. As seen, as soon as Emppu looked away from the phone, look what happened. Also, Floor and "Baby Floor". Baby Floor being conditioned to our current way of life from a very young age. You can also see shes trapped by it when shes in Floors cage dress later. As well as Social Media Moms constantly showing off their children like some kind of trophy and being overprotective. If I could sum it in justc few of my own words, it would be..
THE TOXICITY OF HUMAN POLLUTION
This song has an incredible energy. No one held back. Floor and Kai really came through and Emppus guitar...oh man. If this is the "radio friendly" first single, we are in for one hell of an album!!!!
I certainly won´t be protesting, if this album is heavier as the last one was overall on the more gentle side of metal, and in terms of keeping balance.
Yeah, and also Marco holding those Pills seems like they were also trying to refer to people on instagram who promote all kinds of stuff.

What an absolutely GREAT analysis of the video Heloisa! Even noticed the thing with Tuomas character, that his environmentalism is just a facade. Maybe to make himself feel better, maybe to appear to others better than he is. But at the end of the day, he is happily bathing in oil, symbolising that many of those people themselves enjoy the things technology and industry gives us.
I am sure Rafa had interesting stuff to add too, but I was a bit early to this one, so no subtitles :D

Yes, I think the video addresses what is in many ways narcissism encouraged by, perhaps in particular, Western culture. Quick fixes, shallowness, ego trips and, as you say, presenting the world with a facade rather than reality. That last part actually reminds me a bit of the line in "The Poet and the Pendulum": "Forgive me, I have but two faces, one for the world, one for God, save me"

the other thing that hits home is when the one phone in the group went red.. The red meaning that Empuu was now watching something different from the rest of the group.. and because he was watching something different, the rest of the group turned on him.. and how classic, when Empuu was getting knifed from the rest of the groups attacking him.. instead of helping, Kia was videoing it for a social media post..

Great reaction, on one side it depresses me to see where we heading too. On the other hand it gives me more energy to do something against it. I've been so lucky to travel the world and see real beauty. I made it my task many years ago to share this beauty through film but it feels its catching up and getting worse. Thanks for sharing and like you i need to listening closely to the sound and enjoy their amazing talents. LOVE
El problema de EFMB es que fue un disco que Tuomas ya estaba escribiendo durante el tour mundial de Imaginaerium, las primeras canciones que escribió ya estaban moldeadas para la voz suave y linda de Anette, por eso hay canciones como Shudder Before the Beatiful, Endless Forms Most Beatiful, Weak Fantasy, Your is a Empty Hope y The Greastest Show on the Earth donde la voz de Floor se ve un más aprovechada porque fueron temas que se escribieron en el año y medio entre la entrada de Floor y el comienzo de las grabaciones del disco, mientras que canciones como My Walden, Edema Ruh, Elan ya estaban escritas moldeadas a Anette y Tuomas no quiso cambiarlas porque Floor perfectamente podía interpretarlas, al menos a mí me encantó EFMB, no tengo quejas de que si se exploto al 100% a Floor porque igual su interpretación fue impecable, y la misma Floor disfruto mucho con el disco, y sorprendentemente la canción que menos exigía a Floor fue su favorita del disco (Elán), para ella hay verdadera belleza en lo "sencillo".

Should we be worried or make the most of what is happening around us. Tuomas is a genius and with his music he creates an ultimatum world between my headphones.

I am happy I am not addicted to social media. I use it when I need/want, (I have YT and FB, no instagram etc) but I am absolutely ok with putting my phone aways for hours without having a need to check "important" things.
and I see the biggest problem in people being so over-fed with useless information that they are not able to enjoy any of it, even the good or interesting ones

Great music video and a pretty good song that will probably grow on you the more you are listening to it. Can't wait for the album and sooo looking forward to hear this one live in Moscow on 05/27. The European part of the tour will only start in November so you and Helo may have a chance to see them in the US after summer festivals.
