HI Mathias! Voltes 5 started in 1977 in Japan and was shown in the Philippines the following year. Indeed, this was an iconic anime which really had a very great impact on the Filipinos! And yes! This series came ahead of Power Rangers and other animes. Julie is just so talented and has a very sharp ear! She also did a cover of Despacito where she sound like a native Spanish speaker. By the way, Julie studies this theme song for only 30 mins and she recorded it the next day! No, she does not speak Japanese, Spanish or even Korean when she also did a cover of a Black Pink song. She also sang Latin in her most recent TV series, Maria Clara at Ibarra. Thank you so much Mathias for this reaction!
