Everybody!!!!: 10:50 I'm told by the old guys that these hinges go bad. It's not about if but when. You need to put very thin oil on the round spots in the hinge joints to keep them from seizing up. Hell, I've already lost one that way myself. We're burning through the world's supply of old used hinges. Your's broke where mine did, from metal fatigue. Oil every joint you can find on your old Volvos friends.
Just added times stamps for the people who don’t want to listen to my rambling😂 Im going to add oiling hood hinges to my regulate service intervals! I remember the first time I did it to my 88 wagon the hood almost hit me in the head. I’ve never seen a 240 hood open up so fast😂
Thanks man I appreciate you checking out the video! At the end of this video I go over all the current Volvo projects. I felt like with the 3 white wagons things were starting to get repetitive so I decided to stop recording and wait for something interesting to make a video about.
That’s awesome! With these redblock Volvos it always something simple like a mafs or fpr. That why I usually don’t mind taking a risk buying them sight unseen at these auctions. Good luck with your 740 project 🇸🇪
Found this one at a local public auction. I’d recommend looking in your town at all the public auto auctions. That’s where you can sometimes find deals👍
What a beautiful old wagon. Was quite nervous seeing that guy bounce it out with the forklift 😮 Looking forward to more!

You can still get aftermarket ones from vp auto.
Looking forward to seeing the next video on this 240!
Glad to see you posting again
nice score on the stick shift car! stoked to see more Volvo content 🤙
Gorgeous....what a buy. You should keep it the original yellow color.
I love the color! I’m going to try to save the paint the best I can. 🤞

Very nice!! My dream car/ colour (i own a EU blue one.. ) 600$ is a steal, that front end alone goes for more overhere.
I'm really jealous haha... the color with an M46 for $600 is unbelievable
That white 240 is nice. I got a 1982 244 gl Volvo. I can’t get that k jetronic fuel system running again.
what auctions are these? ive been looking for a cheap 240 for forever

You overpaid! All Volvos are only worth $500.
I will repent my sins to RedBlock Jesus 🙏
