indeed the best review of this product. your slow, steady narration, not trying to be cool with camera moves or effects, ridiculous jokes, no uninspiring allusions to lifestyle, no cheap tricks to make you seem more interesting -- just keeping it to what matters. thank you. i am way closer to purchasing this one despite having wanted the bdv for both size and lower cost, after seeing your video. all my best!

Thanks for the terrific review. My new Mini 3.0 is on order. I just have to say, your speaking skills combined with your calm steady voice is remarkable. I could imagine you narrating one of those nature documentaries or reading a Christmas story to children. Safe travels and all the best.
Thank you! Much appreciated! We create a lot of different content including narrating books for Audible. Haven’t done any children’s books yet but never say never. lol 😂

Hi! Very cool setup! Thanks for the vid! All the best from Austria
Great detailed review at the perfect tempo 👍 I think we’re about to pull the trigger on an iKamper mini. We’re excited but don’t know what we don’t know 🙁 so thanks for the video! Best wishes for safe adventures 🏕️
Thank you! Glad you found it to be helpful ... and speaking of helpful ... you can use this code (BESTLIFE200OFF) to get $200 of a new iKamper tent. If you plan to purchase other items from their site, you can use this code (BESTLIFE10OFF) to get 10%. Enjoy! 👍😀
I’m in the process of getting a skycamp 3.0 for my 4 runner TRD pro. I can’t wait to try it on a long trip. I love the trials and tribulations you guys went through. Real camping 😊
Thank you! We truly live this tent and believe you will too! Once you’ve had it awhile, please let us know what you think. In the meantime, check out the unboxing and install video we made ua-cam.com/video/MC8BPZQod7Q/v-deo.htmlsi=0031pAcYfBJP_1Rd
Thank you! Much appreciated! Check out our recently uploaded video on the unboxing and installation of this tent and see what you think. Would love to hear your thoughts on it. Here's the link ua-cam.com/video/MC8BPZQod7Q/v-deo.html
I too love my Ikamper mini 3.0 on my Gladiator. On cold nights, I run a 12 volt heated blanket on top of a exped duo air mattress sandwiched between two full sized fleece blankets and a 10’x10’ folded fleece top cover blanket at temps well below 30 degrees and it’s extremely warm while wearing simple light PJ’s, hint😉
Thank you for that! We, too, have been using an electric blanket instead of a heater but we've not been in the super cold weather yet. We'll have to keep that in mind. Thanks for sharing! 👍❤
Thank you! Would love to hear your thoughts on it after you’ve used it a few times. By the way, check out this video on unboxing and installation ua-cam.com/video/MC8BPZQod7Q/v-deo.htmlsi=CJpXfWLmJ4ZPVYjM
Great video and like the way the JLU is setup. Have been eyeing the Frontrunner roof rack and different tent options. What coils are you running with this setup? I am trying to figure out if I need to go with Claytons HD coils or AEV HD coils. Currently have a BDS 4.5" lift and the coils are pretty soft and sag bad with all our camping gear.
I'm not sure that I remember what coils those are. They were part of the 3.5 inch Fox suspension lift kit. Admittedly, once we got everything loaded, the rear coils were not enough. We had some sag going on back there so we'll be looking to do something different in the future. But aside from that, we've loved the look and feel of that lift kit. Thanks for reaching out! 👍😀
We expected condensation to be more of an issue than it was. We had some but it was minimal. Using an electric blanket instead of a heater seems to help keep that down and we have a dehumidifier that we are yet to use but have for when we see condensation becoming an issue. 👍😀
In my application, I vent both side windows 2” which will accommodate 2 people with enough ventilation using a heating blanket. I also used 2’x2’ carpet peal stick tiles and covered the floor and laid reflectix over that and used 3m adhesive in spray can to glue down. This process keeps the heat inside the tent, which helped tremendously!
After laying, and gluing down, the refletix, trim 1/2’ border gap all the way around exposing the carpet edge. This will allow the carpet underneath to be able to breathe preventing moisture to develop and not create mold😬
Thank you! If you have any questions about the tent, just let us know. By the way, we lost this tent when this Jeep was totalled recently. So we are going to be buying a new one soon. After doing all of our comparison shopping again, we are leaning towards the Skycamp 3.0 mini. 👍💪
We opted to remove the iKamper mattresses and, instead, use the mattresses from Hest alnk.to/cSGutPC. This is a larger mattress that has to be removed before you close the tent but, for us, it’s worth it. 👍😃
@@BestLifeAdventureChannelahh I thought maybe you bought their upgrade self inflating mattress. I bought that mattress but haven’t bought the camper yet. Keep waffling on mail ordering it Vs getting it B&M. I bought a Roam tent and it got damaged in shipping. Had a bad CS experience around that and inquired with iKamper who said if your tent gets a little damage they give you a discount. Sorry for ~$4000 for a tent it had better be perfect.
Completely agree! Before we went to the Hest, we had some self inflating mattresses and they started out good but after a few months were not that great. We’ve slept on the Hest mattresses probably 30 nights now and noticed no change in the bed. It’s exactly the same now as it was in night 1 so we’re hopeful that these will work well for us for a good long time.

Thank you for the thorough video! Question: When you had a cold night and closed up all the windows without venting, how much condensation was inside?
We expected condensation to be more of an issue than it was. We had some but it was minimal. Using an electric blanket instead of a heater seems to help keep that down and we have a dehumidifier that we are yet to use but have for when we see condensation becoming an issue. 👍😀

Im sold! What air mattress did you buy?
We chose the HEST Air Matress ... in our opinion, the best on the market today. Here's a link alnk.to/cSGutPC
😀👍
You ran the iKamper air mattress over the top of the foam one? If so did you just fold them both up when you tore down?
We opted to remove the iKamper mattresses and, instead, use the mattresses from Hest alnk.to/cSGutPC. This is a larger mattress that has to be removed before you close the tent but, for us, it’s worth it. 👍😃
