@@leticiakomba6695 I'm going to be completely honest with you you dont need to know everything to pass the math test I myself struggled with math the most as long as you can do some basic algebra and geometry and read graphs you should be fine

The first question alone makes me want to cry. Math is my absolute worst subject and reading these questions/numbers is like reading a foreign language and I have no idea where to start. Ugh. Thank you for these videos, though!
I suck at math too. I noticed in alot of these types of videos they make things a bit harder than I feel like they need to be. I usually try to understand what they're doing to find an easier way. With question one just remember the rule that if you have a number with a negative exponent you turn it into a fraction where one is the numerator and the fraction is the denominator but now it's all positive.
So if you have
2^-3 (power) x 16
Like in question one just automatically with any negative exponent put it into this format
1
-- x 16
2^3
And now stick with me because it's super easy after.
Now solve 2 to the 3rd power
2 x 2 x 2 which is 8
So you have
1
- x 16
8
Literally all you have to do next is input in your calculator
1÷8 x 16 and itll give you 2.
So just remember the negative exponents go to that fraction format then just solve the exponent and put it into the calculator and you're good to go. And with fractions it usually means divide like
1
-
8.
Is the same as 1÷8 for future reference.

@@hozyarhamasoor5421 so I feel like the book is helpful but it also gives you a whole bunch of stuff that I felt was overwhelming. I found these videos so I could focus on the actual questions that were asked and nothing extra. I got by on studying the book for basics which was the first few chapters and then came to these video for the algebra. Watch as many GED math videos as you can. Do the problems with the video, then from there pause the video and do that same math problem over and over until you can do it on your own. Do that with every math problem. That's what I did. It got to a point where I got good enough to stop the video before the problems were solved and solve them on my own. It's all about repetition.

@@tinashegonah4772 I got it about three weeks ago. Yes I was VERY anxious the night before and the morning of. I took all four of my ged tests in one day though, so it was about a 6 hour test (without breaks). Challenge is one of the biggest chapters in life.
I just took my GED Math today I passed with a 165, my last test is tomorrow. I am 16. I decided to get my GED because of the pandemic and online school was not it. Thanks for the help.

I thought you had to be 18 to do the GED. I'm 17 and I dropped out of school. Same reason as you. I'm thinking about doing the GED. But idk.
@@kebz9303 You have to get a Waiver to be able to take the GED Test. I really only studied for Math and I passed all the tests with flying colors. It is not bad at all. All I did was contact a school near me that did Adult Education and told them I was 16 and they helped me get my waiver. All I pretty much had to do was take all the GED pre-tests and PASS them. Then I had to write a letter telling why I chose to get my GED etc. Then they sent my letter and scores in and about a week later I got my waiver and took the actual GED tests.

This goes out to those GED students who are struggling to pass the Math test. I dropped out of high school 11 years ago. After being out of school and in between jobs for the past couple of years I knew it was time for a change. One day I finally had the courage to sign up and take the practice tests that are required. Passed the actual test for Language arts, Social Studies , and Science on my first try. Unfortunately I failed math. Not surprised since math was always a tricky subject for me. The concept of square roots and letters added to a math problem to solve, made my head hurt lol. I am a pretty positive person but I was crushed. Determined, I would not let that one subject that has always slowed me down stop me from achieving my goal. I strongly advise anyone who is struggling with Math to first learn how to use the calculator. Fractions, decimals, square roots, formulas are all part of the test and your calculator can do it all for you! I passed the second time around due to the confidence I had using the calculator for certain problems. Good luck to everyone who is about to start or is on the journey to get your GED. Congrats to the graduates of 2021 we did it!!!

Oh boy here we go. I ran away from home last year bc i was pregnant and my mom was threatening to force me into abortion. I was only 17 so i dropped out. Now im almost 19. Living in an apartment with a healthy baby, but need to make better income. Thank you for these videos. they help a lot.

I got my GED today!!! Point of advice when studying for the GED with this video. When watching this video have a scientific calculator, a paper, and a pencil by your side and follow along. It's much more effective to learn the math if you participate along with the video. Believe me I'm a math illiterate and if I can pass by following along with this video, You can too.

I guess it really depends. I took classes in person whenever I was in class I would work on the book. Then when I get home from school I was studying for like maybe about 30 to 40 minutes using the video and following along.

i passed 3 tests but have been holding off on taking the math one since math is not my strongest subject. My practice test scores were laughable and it kind of destroyed my confidence.

I just started with this video tonight and honestly, I love how you guy explained this. In highschool I was in the lowest level math class and you have taught this in a way that my brain understands. If anyone is getting stressed out or anything do not be in a rush okay. And when you are trying to learn it don't be in a hurry because you won't learn anything. You have to stay calm and actually look into the problem and see how it got that answer. My grandpa told me that last night and I am learning literally everything. I was in a rush to just pass the test and woke up and didn't remember anything I did. Just focus and learn! You guys got this!

@@rorookasha274 If you can order a Kaplan prep plus 2021 from Amazon everything she's teaching can help you take on the practice tests thats inside the book which are exactly the same similar questions on the actual test doing that will increase chances of passing because of that book I blew all three subjects out the water just working on Math good luck you got this.

If anyones wondering most my math test were actually slopes and inequalities. I had a few geometry problems (maybe 2 or 3) a few graphs and line graphs (about 4) and the rest was algebra. Abit of fractions and decimals too

I sucked at math bad like when I started studying I didn't even remember the proper way to subtract with the elimination method or whatever I just did addition, easy subtraction, and basic multiplication. I used my calculator for everything else. But I just studied for about 2 or 3 weeks straight and remembered as much as I could and winged it and got lucky and I cannot tell you a single thing I learned tbh you just have to learn it long enough to pass basically. And don't be discouraged no matter if you fail because the tests are randomized and all you need is to get lucky and get an easy one you could've just gotten hard ones before. As long as you keep trying you'll get it

@@views-kb6sv You get 3 retakes its best to study as she said to one commenter it wouldn't be smart to go into a test being that its math expecting to pass off luck alone study this video there are questions that will appear on the test similar to the questions shown here.

I've a Bachelor's degree and was accepted into TFA to teach middle school math... I must pass the 5169 Praxis, this is very helpful to go over. Although, my current employment I make more than I would if I teach, sadly I will need to defer until next yr...But Im so thankful for this & I will eventually give back by teaching.
Okay all the questions y’all are looking for , my last year in school was 9th grade have not studied since 2018 I watched this video, for a full day until I got the basics down, bc math is definitely the hardest subject for me! And practice reading comprehension for the other subjects ! Bc after I got those two down and only studied for 2 whole days ! Trust me, I was never good at school always barley passing . So I tried finding the most viewed math GED video of 2021 and I think this is the one so if you are planning on taking your math exam. I took mine yesterday and I passed!! It was my very first time taking the exam and I want to let you know that it is possible because if you read too much of the comments it will scare you by saying I never passed the first time I took this exam or it’s my fifth attempt etc. The only best advice I can give you is practice, practice so many so many questions and I swear to god if you want to know if you’re ready to take the exam you will not stress about it you will feel more relieved to do it then be stressed. So relax practice and go take that exam, don’t wait to long!
I’m a failed attempt at “homeschooling” and now I’m really struggling trying to learn everything my mom didn’t teach me :( I’m super scared of turning 18 next year and not knowing anything I hope I can figure it out in time thank you for this video it helps me know what I need

Omg!! These videos are the best!!! This really really helps a lot, I was almost crying because I’ve been studying so hard for the last 3 months and my test is next week I did a practice test and I failed miserably. I’m 27 & I’m FINALLY going to get my GED (I graduated but with a “certificate of completion”, not a diploma). I’ve been refreshing my memory. These videos have been HELPING so much. I’ve been writing it all down so I can keep looking back to remember it. With these videos, I’m feeling more confident. It makes everything sooooo much easier to learn.

This showed up in my recommendations, but anyways, if you're reading this, you can do this. I got my GED in 2013 and went on to get an associates degree and then a bachelors degree (with high honors) in 2018 (waited a year after getting the GED to start college.) Don't ever limit yourself. I'm sure this is more difficult for people who have been out of school longer, but trust in yourself and kick it's butt!

Thank you for this video. I am from Brazil but I will start college in the US this upcoming spring and I need to take the GED test. Many ways of solving equations here are different from how we learn in Brazil, and it is a really good refreshment for my memory since I finished high school 6 years ago.

im studying for my ged im struggling with the math but after watching this videos helps.I was off 11 points on my math test.
I passed, and the questions I got were pretty darn easy. There were quite a few I got wrong because I just didn't want to waste too much time, so I just skipped them. I just did all the questions that I could do in less than a minute or 2 first, and tried to get to the ones I had to put some extra work into.

@@taniamcclain9722 There were quite a few of those tricky word problems. I watched a video on how to group them properly to right out equations. A few problems like which is true, or which one makes this equation true.

Been looking to pass my math, these videos look more simple and explained simpler than some other videos I've tried with teaching formulas and it get complicated, this is simply and to the point, as well as same questions that are on the test thats a double bubble 🙃 thanks

I have been working on getting my GED since late 2019. I passed my science and social studies in one day. Took my ELA and passed it on my first go. Covid came along and put a slight hamper on test taking. Once testing started back in my area, I have failed my math test 5 dang times! 136, 143, 143, 143, 143, I've been so close. I will be taking it again in the next few weeks. I'm hoping that this vid can finally get me over the hump. Regardless of what happens with me, thank you for this. PS. How about that Farris Wheel question?
