yeah, hopefully it will be better, looks like they're sticking with the small spoiler now and the diffuser should help with dirty air as well. I am happy that they bumped the horsepower back up some not our desired 700hp but not 550hp so that's a plus too. I am afraid that it will be too much like a GT3 car though

Anton, they been using the single nut on the wheels plus sequential gearboxes in V8 Supercars here in Australia for years, m more surprised that NASCAR doesn’t use the new configurations already..
@@Eric_412 because think about it you got to go through probably 40 Wheels per race so that's 40 x how ever many people there are raceing and no center locking lugs have been around since the 60s thers no point to them you have to add more Force to the center locking lug nuts it's not more stable than the standard lug pattern it's just not useful

Sounds like it could possibly be an overhead cam V8 instead of pushrod. I'm not sure how I feel about "Less Power" and "easier to drive". I think the difficulty in controlling a cup car is what makes the sport a little more fun. If it's truly an OHC V8, Im really curious what platform the engine is.
Man I been saying since 2000 that they should use one big lug nut invention for tires instead of 5 lugs that can come off while putting a tire on ruining a drivers race or chance to win. Too easy for mistakes with 5 tiny lugs on pit stops and dangerous with bullets going at people when they take off after a pit stop and run the tires over them shooting them at people. Now with only one big one it gets rid of those mistakes and dangers. Hats off to Nascar to finally implement something I always said since 2000 that they needed in this sport. Finally they using their heads.
I’m a bit meh on it. I like the direction they are going (sequential gearbox) but would like to see them head in the direction of Australian V8 Supercars. Starting with a body shell, working lights, wipers, etcetera. I’d also like to see NASCAR start running their road course events rain or shine.

Racing teams have always been the givers of the best ideas that work when it comes to Motorsports and the machines used tomorrow. Brakes are a fantastic example. Observation of this shape, it's a toss back to the current status being the mustangs and cameros today. If I am no mistaken, it looks like the factory teams have thrown it all back to when aero really started to matter, and the beginning of the end of the muscle car. Somehow it's hung in, big ballsy cars, and if all goes well, V8 supercars of Australia and Nascar will be hand in hand. Ironically, Australia always had their 4 door muscle cars...
I stopped watching Nascar in 2019 and been my interest and love went to Formula 1 in March 2019. If this car is good as it can be than I’ll maybe start watching it again
I like F1. It’s fun to watch. I wish the cars were a bit more durable. F1, but race lengths similar to nascar would be cool. I’d like to see more strategy in the race.
i know ppl gonna hate me for this but this low hp really kills me yeah the car sounds great but it just sounds restricted if your a car/engine guy you should be able to understand what im saying ive been to ALOTTTT of races nothing sounded better than 9000+ rpm 750+ hp screaming by, single lug nut looses the pit road battles testing the tire changers ability to knock off 5 lugs part of the sports roots part of what can win or loose a battle on pit road, the amount of times ive seen a tire fallen off from loose lugs...rarely eaither he is caught or the drivers like oh hell no i have a bad vibration at 180mph let me pit idk im just ranting, the car looks great from the side the wheels look cool single lug meh but it isnt a make or break thing, the sequential im not a fan of but is what it is just want the power back
looks long as a bus, like a Charger, to bad we just can't go back about 20 years, production based cars (much better looking than this bus) use your own engine that is in production, no more of this Chevy engine for all.

I don't really care if the cars aren't really stock, as long as the racing is good and the cars drive more like saloon cars than real sports cars. NASCAR Cup cars surely make more sense than the cars that DTM has had until 2020.
