Yes, it's on DVD on Amazon. It's a Canadian TV series called 'X-Company' and ran for 3 seasons (28 episodes) between 2015 and 2017. And it is very good!
The symbols on the clothes of those pitiful civilians indicate that soldiers in blue and gray uniforms were sending them to the concentration camp. No wonder people bravely fight to send those damn nazis to hell! Unfortunately, the hero was captured by the nazis at the end of the video, and his subsequent treatment may be quite tragic. The price of resisting the hateful invaders is saddening! Another great video mate! Brilliant!
Yes, and even more shamefully it's French policemen at the beginning who are rounding up the Jews. It's sad that it came to Allied agents killing Frenchmen but they were justified here. Don't worry, the lad captured at the end does get away so all is not lost! Many thanks again for your kind comment mate, always appreciated!
Hello, again, you were recommended and when I saw the video I paid a lot of attention to the German soldier from 2:20. It's crazy to think that if I was born a little before my grandfather, I would be like him being knocked out by an enemy to whom I turned my back. Well, only I would never turn my back on him
It was Paris which wasn't under Vichy rule but they definitely were helping the Germans. It would have been difficult to stop the deportations but they could have made efforts to let some go and not do it with such zeal.
@@foreverblueclassics I am really happy you bring up the topic 😀. Round up of the Vel d'Hiv, July 1942 : This operation was seen as failed afterwards both by the Germans and the Vichy Regime because they managed to arrest only the half of the Jews who were on the list. Why ? Because the policemen involved in the round-up had the list of the Jews who they were supposed to arrest. Some of them had spent the night before the round-up to warn the Jews and to tell them to go away. The Vichy Regime created the "Milice" in January 1943 after Hitler had complained that Vichy didn't collaborate hard enough.
