Upgraded from an older 18v kit. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxW1vOBRCMrgTCDEijzpVzDWsgI-Jm2iQv I independently chose the drill and impact tool, before I came across the kit.I like the 3 speed impact gun. It seems more powerful than my older one, and it can be set to be really gentle. The drill is more appropriately sized for my use. I used to have a hammer drill, but I did not like that it was so big and it was not a great hammer drill. I rather have a smaller drill like this, and then get a corded hammer drill for the odd case I need that.
I got all my tools stolen out of my van and had a few hours to do a job and needed tools asap. I was between a home depot and Walmart. Choosing between ryobi and hart. Hart had so much stuff that I needed, I went with hart. I'm 4 months in, running the skill saw, impact driver, blower (phenomenal), drill, and a few other things. I bought a few spare batterys and chargers. I use them all day at work doing hvac and I am seriously impressed. All the guys shit on me for Walmart but I have had no issues. 1 of them even went and bought one of the kits. For the money, they are a perfect price. The batterys are the only thing I would want more out of but for the price, there above average. I have had money put away to get some Milwaukee or makita stuff again but this stuff hasn't broke yet. I bought everything I use for just about the same price as 2 of the tools I used to have. And did the job just about the same.
I LOVE my Hart power tools! 😀 10 years ago, I wouldn't have even considered buying power tools at Wal Mart, but I am very glad I decided to give them a chance! I have the drill, impact driver, sawzall, flash light, grinder, multi tool, dust buster vacuum, tire inflater, and radio! 😀 I'm listening to this video through the Blue Tooth on my new Hart battery powered radio! 😊 I want to pick up the lawn mower, weed whacker, and chainsaw next!
@@afridgetoofar1818doubt it. I'm certainly not paid or sponsored and hart is all I use in my shop. They make some really good tools. And I used to be a Milwaukee guy. But getting similar quality for less than half the price means more money in my pocket
I agree with your statement that the Hart line gives Great Value for the person who needs a good tool to bridge the gap between DIY and a person that has a small shop or mid-level jobs that require a power tool. I bought the Hart brushed 1/4" impact driver and it has held up like a champ. I got my daughter one for her DIY projects and she loves the tool, she love how the tool can drive deck screws in with little to no effort. I also like the 3 year warranty. For the majority of folks that will be using the tool it has more than enough power without the heavy output of cash.
A lot of "American made" products (especially hand tools) use Chinese made parts (especially batteries). So don't come here and say that you hate Chinese made products, because you really don't know what you are talking about.

Replacing my Black & Decker weed eater with a Hart. My B&D crapped after a year or so. I took it apart and found that a wire broke off at the solder joint and the other was hanging by a thread. I resoldered both wires, got her working, and gave her to a family friend. I'll let you know how the Hart works out.
I bought the HPID01 impact driver and the 200 piece driver/drill bit set. I'm very happy with them. Used it yesterday to install some shelves in the house and it performed very well. For the price, $69.00 for the driver and $32.00 for the bit set, it's pretty darned good quality. They are not designed for daily industrial use of course, but for DIY you can't go wrong.
Picked up a new Hart 1/2 impact driver and 4.0ah battery for 65$ from an individual and it busted the rusted lug nuts on an old 97 F150 with ease! Great tool
I had an issue with the brushed motor in a drill I bought from them, Customer service was actually super awesome about it. They offered to send me a free replacement with another battery. One of the things I like about Hart is the fact that I can buy a battery charger separately for only $20! 😀 One time I needed a new Ridged battery charger, and I ended up having to buy a whole ass drill kit because Home Depot didn't have just a charger, and I HAD TO have it THAT DAY, waiting several days to have one shipped was not an option, and I ended up being out of pocket $150! 😠 P.S. It’s not cool because I’ve been coming to this channel for a few years now and when I get a review from hear I instantly go with your recommendations based on your test. Now that you are sponsored it gives me a dang, like, can money influence the testing? Your channel is blowing up. You and projectfarm. UA-cam is rewarding content creators. I hear you, and your thoughts are somewhat valid. First, I think you should trust in the content/provider where you gather the information, whether that's Shop Tool Reviews or somewhere else. If money or products will convince someone to sacrifice their character, that's not a money or sponsorship issue. Second, sponsorships come and go, and sometimes that's just product and not money. Lastly, that review is a couple years old, I haven't done much with HART in a long time, yet I still stand behind everything in that video. I try to live my life as the Bible teaches, although I do fail quite often. It states "for the Love of money is the root of all evil." It doesn't say that "money" is the root of all evil, it's "the love of money." No preaching here, just sharing my thoughts. I truly appreciate the long term views and I hope you'll stick around. Thanks for sharing.

Other channels have proven that some Hart tools are OK tools. They have some quality to them. However, the user must know the limits of the tool they are using. If you want a tool that can handle slight abuse and it won't cost but a bit more, save up and get Ryobi or Kobalt. On sale, you may be able to get a better deal at Lowes or Home Depot. About the only reason I would use a Hart tool would be if I needed a tool late night and Lowes and Home Depot (or Menards) are closed. If all 3 are closed, I would only consider Hart if I could spend very little, like a battery kit option. Likely I'll return it later as I have Ryobi tools and multiple batteries already and really don't like multiple chargers and battery types (I hate 2 Ryobi chargers for my 3 batteries but I have to do it).
So one of 2 things, either the Big Yellow or Big Red have huge margins, OR there are alot of cut corners at Hart. But then do the "cut corners" affect the outcome of the job? In reality though, I cannot imagine a Big Yellow guy or a Big Red guy to switch to this platform. Clearly for the advanced DIY person at most. Time will tell.
Having worked for a company that does a lot of business with Walmart, if you can avoid them, avoid them. Not like selling your soul to the devil, but closer than it should be. Walmart always seemed like they were clueless in the tool isle. Hope this works out for Hart.
I’m a tire tech service mostly would u recommend the 1/2” impact and drill and I also help mechanics with some things been looking to get ratchet wrench
Bought the 5 pc kit 5 weeks ago. The sawzall grew legs before I got home. And I was fairly satisfied until today when I went to use the damn impact nothing. Freshly charged battery still nothing. Problem is because I don't have the damn sawzall I'm unable to take it back for a new one of
These are Ryobi Brand products, many of which are still being sold at Home Depot at higher prices, painted a different color. Absolutely comical to see TTI screw Depot for a quick sale. I imagine the folks at Depot are none too pleased. Business is funny sometimes.
@neil TTI did not make hyper tough, they may have owned it but it was all independent chinese manufacturing by walmart. TTI owns hart and uptakes hart manufacturing.
my issue with so-called cheaper power tools is that they are not that much cheaper than brand-name tools on sale. for diyers, we want to look cool when we actually use the tools..... for a bit more money, we can look cool with the dewalt yellow or makita blue.
I don't remember which company it was but there was one that made a limit that after a certain number ofrrcharge cycles it would stop charging regardless if the battery still worked or not.
I'll say in the professional side of things people get made fun of for having Ryobi if you bring a bag full of hart tools you're going to get harshly bullied
I got the 179 dollar set and I use them everyday at work and they seem to be holding up for me I would suggest on getting the bigger battery but overall good set of power tools
Correct, they have been around, as a hand-tool manufacture for decades, but they just started making power tools. We would love to see power tools being built in the USA, but it's just not happening. Thanks for watching.
Hart's brushless are much better than their brushed I got a Hart drill brushed because it was cheaper than buying the charger and battery for the inflator I bought and my old brushed black and decker 20v drill is more powerful than my Hart brushed 20v but the brushless is where the power is at with these Hart tools
It would've been cool to try years ago but its too late to invest in a new battery lineup. I chose milwaukee early because while it was expensive the lineup sold me and if thats where i plan to end up then i slowly bought the more expensive lineup.
I had purchased a Hart 4 piece set on July 23,2023.it looks really nice but I tried charging the battery pack for over 5 hours and it didn't charge.i took it back to Walmart and they would not replace it. now I have a shitty tool set that doesn't work
I bought a circlesaw and a jigsaw in the clearance isle at Walmart, half price.. But was tool only. So I just now while watching this video went on eBay and bought a used brushless drill with a charger and battery for 47.15. I'm thinking maybe I have just over 100 in all of it . But I have to say I don't like the charging system, that power block with cord to battery. They really cheaped out by not making a real charger for the Hart line.
That's a valid concern, but you should try some of the lower-priced power tools and give them a chance. Let us know what you think. I just wish they would make a better charger. Thanks for watching.
There is also the men or women who are now retiring and don’t need high end tools. We now are looking for home tools. Good tools that are slightly better than the H F tools .
Sorry for such a late reply. You are correct, a lot of TTi tools, because they have a lot of tool brands and tools. There's also MAC, DeWalt, Makita, Ingersoll Rand, Sunex, Sonic, Craftsman, Skil, Bosch, Lisle, Monster, and more as well. Thanks for watching.
I would not compare this to DeWalt. DeWalt will be twice as much, and it's going to be more powerful. The HART will be easier on the budget, but not as powerful. It should still remove lug nuts. Thanks for watching.
I understand your apprehension, but this is a sad state to where we are as a community. At one time, we did partner with HART, for a short time. I still stand behind anything said in the review for HART, or any other review for that matter. We don't sell our integrity. Thanks for watching.
Good choice on the M12. Hart has a good line with their tools and the prices are pretty good. These won't be comparable to the Milwaukee M18 in power, but the M18 will also have a much larger price tag. Just trying to set your expectations. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Would you say they would hold up in a mechanic shop setting? As in wear and tear and having to use them everyday multiple times a day? Would love to see some torture tests with these tools
No, I wouldn't recommend for a full time mechanic. Maybe if you're just starting out and need something for light work. This is not the tool to use all day every day. Thanks for watching.
I gave up 8 minutes into the video when I had not learned anything concrete about the tools. this should have been a 3 minute video actually talking about the build and quality of the tools.
You know, I didn't have a lot of hope for the grinder, but I used it quite a lot and it's a very nice grinder, especially for a DIY or home enthusiast. I used it a ton in our HART Welder Cart build, I'll paste the link below. I would recommend buying the 4Ah battery for using the grinder. It will consume the 2.0Ah batteries rather quickly. Thanks for watching. ua-cam.com/video/UbPu5LL9MF4/v-deo.html

I find this review really honest. Did you listen to it?! He says things like, "these are value..." "not necessarily buffing out scratches with these"...the pitch here isn't that it's the best. The pitch is it/they are very decent for the money.
Impact Drivers have a 1/4" hex chuck for connecting bits and accessories. Impact Wrench has a 1/4", 3/8", 1/2" or larger square anvil for connecting sockets. The Impact Driver typically uses much smaller and faster hammering impacts, while the impact wrench user harder impact blows to deliver more force. Thanks for watching.

@@Shoptoolreviews brother in Christ. I noticed I was a old video afterwards 😆 so I’ve already have benefited from your knowledge and testing. Thanks 🙏 for providing content that actually gives back. I’m always showing other brothers your videos and letting them know, that tool is crap because shop tools proved it lol. No I don’t tease them like that but I passed down your videos because my friends saving or making a better more reliable buy is a way of me giving back what you have given me. Free knowledge is undervalued these days. Thanks again and just know that in god’s name your channel will be at 12folds in subscribers by 2025.
Decent tools and if you go online you can get a lot of great deals
HART Is a great DIY tool. I wouldn't choose it as a PRO, unless it was entry-level and it could get you by until you can upgrade. Thanks for watching.
Great 3 year Warranty
The same company that makes Milwaukee and Ridgid makes Hart, look it up, Hart is legit.
i love my hart drill and i use it for my mechanic job
This is awesome to hear. Glad it's working for you.
There is a lot of decisions behind the scenes, for sure. The tools are quite similar. Thanks for watching.
Also. Totally recommend there bit sets they are amazing !!!
They do have some nice accessory kits. Thanks for watching.
Ryobi with slide packs.... but hey great to have an actual option at Walmart not their hyper tough toys.
@neil TTI did not make hyper tough, they may have owned it but it was all independent chinese manufacturing by walmart. TTI owns hart and uptakes hart manufacturing.
I have two properties, my dewalts stay at the ranch, the hart at the home. Nuff said.
my issue with so-called cheaper power tools is that they are not that much cheaper than brand-name tools on sale. for diyers, we want to look cool when we actually use the tools..... for a bit more money, we can look cool with the dewalt yellow or makita blue.
You make a very valid point, for the most part. We could argue some semantics, but it wouldn't be worth it.🙂 Thanks for watching.
I like the colors
Why are batteries so damn expensive? 😩 Whether it's Makita or Hart, batteries cost as much or more than the tools themselves! 🙄
You are correct, batteries are not cheap. This is probably where the tool companies are making the money. It's not in the tools.
I don't remember which company it was but there was one that made a limit that after a certain number ofrrcharge cycles it would stop charging regardless if the battery still worked or not.
I got the 4 port charger and 2 2ah batteries and 2 4ah batteries for less than $200! That was a good deal!
I'll say in the professional side of things people get made fun of for having Ryobi if you bring a bag full of hart tools you're going to get harshly bullied
How about some air tools. Impacts, ratchets, sanders, grinders. Etc
I got the 179 dollar set and I use them everyday at work and they seem to be holding up for me I would suggest on getting the bigger battery but overall good set of power tools
Thanks for commenting. We agree, these tools work very well, and we also agree on the larger 4.0 battery for this impact. Thanks for watching.
They been around since the 80's. In California made by TTI witch is in Hong Kong... lets start making stuff in the U.S. 🇺🇸
It's hard to go wrong with Milwaukee, so no reason to change. Keep with what you got. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@Shoptoolreviews Milukaee. Tools made in China now. One of the tool repair repair shops wont work on those new tools now.
You got a great deal on everything. We agree with you, they need a better charging solution. Thanks for watching.
Personally, i will buy the hand tools without needing to worry. But im a little cautious with the power tools...
That's a valid concern, but you should try some of the lower-priced power tools and give them a chance. Let us know what you think. I just wish they would make a better charger. Thanks for watching.
My boyfriend owns a hart impact and everytime he uses it he says he wishes he bought a different one
I just picked up the kolbalt xtr impact driver with a 4.0 ah. Battery. Hart seems good tho
Yes, the Hart is a nice impact, but the XTR is much more powerful. Thanks for watching.
There is also the men or women who are now retiring and don’t need high end tools. We now are looking for home tools. Good tools that are slightly better than the H F tools .
This is a very good point. Thanks for watching.
Shop Tool Reviews I bought the 215 piece with chest and I’m impressed. Thanks for the video .
Funny, TTI tools on the table and on the pegboard behind him
milwaukee is really good for industrial use but really exspensive to buy (fuel)
Because they own them 🤣🤣
Sorry for such a late reply.
All i want to know is. Is it going to be worth buying over dewalt or is it just going to shit the bed soon after use
I would not compare this to DeWalt. DeWalt will be twice as much, and it's going to be more powerful. The HART will be easier on the budget, but not as powerful. It should still remove lug nuts. Thanks for watching.
I like how he owns all Milwaukee lol
Anybody out there who might be a little naive never trust a tool review by someone who is sponsored by the Tool Company they are reviewing
I understand your apprehension, but this is a sad state to where we are as a community. At one time, we did partner with HART, for a short time. I still stand behind anything said in the review for HART, or any other review for that matter. We don't sell our integrity. Thanks for watching.
i would like see a cordless router
I wouldn't be surprised to see a cordless router from them pretty soon.
Does the Hart 4 amp battery require a different battery charger?
No, but it will charge much faster with their better charger.
@@Shoptoolreviews Thank you very much...
I got the m12 line but only a few items. Looking for a line at higher power. Might go with Hart. Also like the color hah
Good choice on the M12. Hart has a good line with their tools and the prices are pretty good. These won't be comparable to the Milwaukee M18 in power, but the M18 will also have a much larger price tag. Just trying to set your expectations. Thanks for watching and commenting.
check out kobalt 24v max brushless. Great prices for DIY and batteries are affordable. They will probably have a huge sale for black friday
Why not just go with Kobalt, Ryobi, Ridgid, etc? Unless WalMart is all you have around?
Look on your wall see what u really trust Milwaukee
Milwaukee heart and Ryobi are made by the same people just an FYI
Would you say they would hold up in a mechanic shop setting? As in wear and tear and having to use them everyday multiple times a day? Would love to see some torture tests with these tools
No, I wouldn't recommend for a full time mechanic. Maybe if you're just starting out and need something for light work. This is not the tool to use all day every day. Thanks for watching.
No
I gave up 8 minutes into the video when I had not learned anything concrete about the tools. this should have been a 3 minute video actually talking about the build and quality of the tools.
Sorry to disappoint. Maybe I can make it up to you in another video. Thanks for watching.
You should change your name from Big D to Big cry baby
@@julsc2106 spoken with the wisdom of a Walmart shopper.
How would you rate their angle grinder because I’ve been looking at getting one but don’t know if they are a good brand

They do manufacture nice diy tools they do Even use Samsung battery cells which Is good.

This isn't a review. It's a commercial.
Ok, fair enough. Would you mind providing any specific content that we presented, which is not true? Thanks for watching.
@@Shoptoolreviews I never said you lied. You never said anything that could or couldn't be a lie. Like the 4ah lasts longer than the 2ah and they make drills and Sawzall and sanders and they are sold at Walmart. You said a whole lot, but at the same time said nothing.
For auto purposes like loosening bolts, do you recommend a impact driver or impact wrench? Thank you
For automotive work, I'd recommend an impact wrench. Smaller screws and 10mm and smaller bolts, then an impact driver is fine.
I see them for weekend kind of person yeah probably be fine for that but I don’t see them being for every day use I did break 1/2 inch breaker bar from hart pretty easy my 3/8 drive gear wrench breaker bar put threw a lot more stress and it’s 15 years old still works but some hart tools they ain’t that bad I’ll give it to them
Good points. Thanks for watching.
Awesome tools for the price.
You got that right! Simple and powerful, at a good value. Thanks for watching.
Those lug nuts in the first second of the video were pre broken free. The impact didn't even clack at all. That's bullshit
We appreciate your viewership, we really do. We may not be perfect here at STR, but liars, we are not. This is not the strongest impact in the world, but it's very impressive for the price point. It had no problem breaking the lugs free on this old Ford. Thanks for watching.
Good video as always! Shill or not I’m watching regardless.
I appreciate that. Thanks.
Can't trust your reviews if you're sponsored by them.
Why? I do understand your caution, but it's really sad this is the case. I would recommend (in all honesty and sincerity) that you find someone that you trust, regardless of how they are compensated. Truth is truth, light is light, and dark is dark.
I am no longer sponsored by Hart (very brief stint), but I still stand behind everything I said (Pros and Cons) about Hart tools. In fact, I still review their tools, even though Not being sponsored. They're not the best in the world, they perform very well, for the most part, and they're easy to find at any WalMart.
Thank you for watching.
@@Shoptoolreviews I do appreciate you're honesty saying you was sponsored by them. I will have to look at the other videos you've made. Thanks for the reply.
I find this review really honest. Did you listen to it?! He says things like, "these are value..." "not necessarily buffing out scratches with these"...the pitch here isn't that it's the best. The pitch is it/they are very decent for the money.
What the difference between an impact driver or impact wrench.
Hart same as Ryobi but cheaper TTI quality
HART: Horribly Assembled Ryobi Tools
There made by tti same as portal cable and Milwaukee
Porter Cable is made by SBD (Stanley Black & Decker). TTi is the mother company for Milwaukee and HART. Thanks for watching.
Nope to sponsored ads.
I can understand that. However, this was just an informative video on the brand. Thanks for watching and thanks for the feedback.
Only complaint are the batteries
House painter here, the hart line of products has everything I need at the perfect price. Fuck I need a Milwaukee for
Hart really does have some great products. Milwaukee has some great products too, but if Hart does it for you, no reason to change. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Milwaukee will shit on hart all day
You do sound like a car sells man But I am looking into buying a set of cordless tools that take to same battery.
Can u use one....
Sure. Thanks for watching.

So ryobi?
@@CHEEBnRUN Milwaukee Ryobi and ridge are all the same company TTI
@@jefferyzimmerly8472 that's nuts right? I wonder how many of the same parts they use, if any.

Ebay has good HART tools openbox very cheap
They suck, so far my impact drill and handheld vac took a shit on less than 6 months.
Gotta get that insurance for them
Those are ok not as good craftsman or even ryobi but ok.

Not true at all. We have character. Our opinions don't change just because someone gives us a tool. We stand behind that review still today. Thanks for watching.
Kobalt has better prices and makes better tools. If you want entry level pro quality tools then kobalt is where it is at.
Kobalt has some great tools. I don't know that I'd agree with a "blanket statement" that all Kobalt tools are better than Hart. I think they should each be weighed against the other.
