I was there that night, i can to u first hand that the performance was just absolutely stunning, last song of the concert and he belted it out help like it was he's first. So Proud to be an Australian and so proud of our boy the Legend that is John Farnham..
As an Australian myself I want to thank you for reacting to this song , John Farnham is an Australian Music Legend and he is currently recovering from Health Problems so thank you for paying tribute to him.
It takes someone special to take a Beatles song and make your version the definitive one. Shout out to his Musical Director David Hirschfelder who did the arrangement (David playing keyboards) the MSO and the adoring crowd who are such a part of this performance . John is currently recovering from (sadly ironically) an operation to deal with cancer of the jaw) Get better John, you deadset legend ❤

Sweet girl, please don't ever apologise for showing the emotion that John's music makes you feel - us Aussies have been feeling it for over 50yrs, and it's so nice seeing 'another' John Farnham fan being born in front of our eyes, John is an Aussie icon and legend in so many ways, and we Aussies are so proud of him, and want the world to share in his talents. Anyone who can listen to this performance and not feel something, just isn't human in my opinion. You've just shown the most beautiful reaction to one of the best nights of my life, yes I was in the crowd at this concert, and still to this day get triple shot goosebumps from head to toe, just remembering it. I would love to see you react to the song that gave John his nickname "The Voice", by listening to John Farnham and the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra singing You're The Voice. Welcome to the Aussie rabbit hole, strap yourself in, coz you're in for one helluva ride honey. Hugs and peace from Western Australia 🤗☮
I check in every day to see if more people have reacted to this performance and yours was so heartwarming. It kind of hits you with a force doesn't it?! John's voice being outstanding is just the beginning. His warmth, the crowds participation and all that love they have for him just bursts through the screen. Thanks for this :). I'd love to see you watch the same MSO concert but the song YOU'RE THE VOICE next.
What a beautiful reaction to our John. I too have been checking for reactions to him (and especially this one) daily since about February this year. So I've probably seen this footage over 100 times. While I love it every time, your reaction was so emotional that I saw it through new eyes and it gave me chills. Thank you so much and please cover more of him. Always live performances with John. Try 'When Something is Wrong with my Baby' with another Australian legend, Jimmy Barnes ( the Hey Hey its Saturday version) 💖
This is a tribute to John Lennon who wrote it, John Farnham who arranged it, the MSO & the 15000 people who attended. Great review too. Your emotional response reflects the greatness of the event
Great reaction to Australia's greatest voice. You want to react to When Something is wrong with my baby, by Jimmy Barnes and John Farnham live. John Farnham and Jimmy Barnes are both Legend's in Australia and deserve world wide recognition.
You are such a sweetheart. Thanks for sharing this reaction with us, all Aussies are proud of Farnsey. Would love to know more about the great talent of Nigeria too 😊 🇦🇺 ❤️ 🇳🇬
The even more amazing thing is he came back out after this and sang another encore which included 'It's a Long Way to the Top'. He engages with his audience like no other.
Great reaction This was a fantastic concert you should watch as many song’s as you can, John is loved in Aussie by the way this was the encore after a long concert,
Best reaction I've seen Starr 👏🏻 I'm glad you're with me and I'm not the only one getting super emotional n teary haha. Farnesy is an Angel on earth, I love that bloke. Hope I can get him a beer and hear a yarn and maybe a few notes from him in heaven. That's if I can get him away from performing for God non stop haha
@Serene, Peaceful & Relaxing Music I know he's still alive and kicking but I doubt he'll sing again. We've been spoilt in Oz with him as an entertainer, hopefully he gets bulk quality time with family now.
Yes I've always wondered if he came to earth with some important mission to move as many people's hearts and minds as possible. Ever since he has been in the public eye, since a young man, his personal interactions have always been kind and generous of spirit. An amazing spirit and his enormous talent is still slowly gifting so many around the world even now when it is really needed as people are beginning to come together now after so much divisiveness and separation. Even though Oz has enjoyed John since his young days, hidden from the rest of the world ( which might’ve burnt him out early) his mission seems now to have been a slow mighty burn into a blaze. I am not religious but I do believe there is a purpose to an evolvement of the shared human spirit.
John is a legend here in Oz, i truly love your emotions throughout the song, you listened to the song first and then done a great job with your analysis, well done.
Wonderful Reaction Thank you! ... to our Australian National Treasure John Farnham! He is a phenomenal performer with the most amazing Vocal range and sound!
I knew you would love this, this is a Beatles song, that John Farnham turned into a ballad, John Lennon heard this version before his death & said this is how it should have been sung.
Thank you for the great reaction. Every so often I get drawn to search out reactions for this song. Doesn't happen with any others. As an Australian I know what John Farnham means to millions of us down here. It's great that others from across the world get to feel this song too. Wishing John and his family all the best for his recovery.
I'm also a fellow Aussie like other commentors.... our music and artists never spread around the world usually, because we are so far away and also... our artists won't 'obey' the music production companies that are global... and we are SO GRATEFUL... that you reactors are now showcasing our music xx
Wonderful reaction. Tears of joy and awe, I see. Another powerful song from him is When the War is over, from the same concert. There is also a live concert with Olivia Newton John where they sing Please Dont Ask Me. Another breathtaking performance
No matter how many times I hear this, I just marvel at John's talent and his ability to improve a Beatles classic. The song has extra potency given John's battle with cancer. Speedy recovery, John, and if positive thinking really works, you have a nation of Farnsey followers in your corner.
Thank you for your great reaction to my all time favourite singer/performer (for 50 years)! Please watch many more of John Farnham’s live performances…❤
I've watched like a lot of us Australian's so many ppl react to this song, everybody is amazed and blown away by his voice, his emotional performance, and the heartfelt message of its lyrics... Many reactors have cried, or close to it, watching it.. Even sometimes it still gets me, and l cry too.. It's relevant to what's happening in my life now, and I'm sure many others... Your reaction was wonderful the way you spoke about it, moved me too .. ❤
John , is sadly recovering from recent mouth surgery. We all love him and are extremely proud that since he's been unwell the amount of reaction videos for this classic. He sang this at the end of the concert.
I’m glad you enjoyed that song his an Aussie legend So I Challenge you now to watch another Aussie legend called jimmy barnes an the song is called …. Stone cold you will love ❤️ it Once you have watch it then you can watch John Farnham an jimmy barnes together with a song called …. Something is wrong with my baby but it’s got to be the live version then you can really appreciate the of Australian music An thank for your reaction it was GOLD 🎉
As an Australian we call him THE VOICE- understably so. He sang this as part of an encore and 1 1/2 hours performing. He's from my town and a great guy.Nobody has said a bad word about him. Was Australian of the year in the 70s. Long story about his career. I'll let you do the homework. We love this guy.
This was an encore to the hours end of a concert which is hands down "a performance of a lifetime". Farnsey is known as "THE VOICE". He can sing ANY genre, rock, blues, ballads, opera etc He has a 50 odd year career & is now in his 70's. Likely recently lost his voice due to having part of his jaw removed because of cancer. He is the niciest, most humble, hilarious larrikin (could have been a comedian) who literally was crowned "Australian of the Year". He has many ANTHEMS but his best known is STILL today "You're the Voice" which is still 35yrs or so later known as "Australia's Unofficial National Anthem". I recommend reacting to that from the same concert with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra Orchestra. ALWAYS react to him LIVE, you simply can't do reactions of him & other Aussie's justice without reacting live. He forever & a day holds the best selling album of all time. Not to mention he also played the lead in "Jesus Christ Superstar" which is Australia's "best selling musical of all time". The best performance of that you'll ever see (with other titans of Australia's music industry) you'll ever see. Please react to that too. Welcome to his rabbit hole, unfortunately his online presence doesn't hold much to best showcase 50yrs BUT still you can get the jist. He isn't just one of the best vocalist ever, but of all time, anywhere in the world. He was offered to replace Freddie in Queen but refused as he didn't want to be away from his family. This particular song is a complete & utter re-work of an up-tempo song by "The Beatles". John Lennon said this was the best version of this song ever & how it should have been sung. Farnsey sings every vowel, any note like no other LIVE. You'll never see a bad performance. Another Australian musician who has had just the same amount of success for 50+ yrs is Jimmy Barnes individually & as part of the best selling band of all time in Australia "Cold Chisel". They're great mates, our Aussie music industry is tight. Together they are known in Aus as Farnsey & Barnsey. They did a blues duo together called "When Something is Wrong With my Baby". Please react to that. So much to recommend to you from all of the above BUT hopefully (like most reactors) they organically spend years becoming viral just from their fan base alone. "Black Dog" a soundcheck (so audio only) by Farnsey is mind blowing. Better than the original & he was singing for nobody, just "warming up" his voice to one of the hardest songs to sing EVER. "Burn for You" a ballad is forever also one of my favourite. A song he wrote about being away touring from his wife.
I have seen opera singing teachers just as lost for words as you when they hear John. They start talking about his breath control, they talk about how he opens his mouth, they talk about what great control he has of his larynx, but you can see it on their faces. They are just amazed. 😮
Thanks Starr fantastic reaction. All the comments on here say it all really about our amazing Farnsey just a phenomenal singer that can sing anything takes youre heart and touches you're soul. Just a great showmen that has such a beautiful connection with his fans. Down-to-earth humble guy. If you loved this you want to check out Gethesmane from Jesus Christ Superstar showing Johns Musical theatre background you will love that. So many of John's songs to discover one of the beet singers on the planet.Once you're hooked no going back.
As I read through the comments to this and others of John's amazing performances I'm beginning to think only Australians are commenting. If anyone else is hearing John's performance for the first time AND you're not Australian, can you please give us your reaction here? I'm a true fan of John Farnham as are all Aussies, but then we all know that already. Apart from Starr's reaction here, I'm sure other Australian viewers would like to know what non-Australian viewers are thinking, cheers...
The audience singing along is magical and yes they were singing along. We in Australia all love John Farnham and this song means a lot because at a lot of different times in our lives we really do need help and just having someone around with us when we're at our lowest, it really does help. Your discription and emotion showed during the song was just so beautiful, because you really felt it. Thank you for your beautiful words. Much love from Queensland Australia 🦘❤
I’ve watched this about 35 times over the last 3 months and every time I can’t hold back the tears. Very happy you enjoyed it. Farnsy is the best 🇦🇺🙏🏾🙏🏻👍🙌
John always over-delivers but this concert was next level. I was on an endorphin high for the next week. Thank you for your beautiful, vulnerable reaction.❤
This song gets me every time I hear it the next one you should try John farnham is when the war is over that song has so much meaning you will cry I love John and I know he's not well and I hope and pray he can sing again
The object of 'reaction' videos should be to do just that, show a 'reaction'. This you do splendidly. Your face shows your every emotion as you hear the song. You can't help but 'react'. Every one of your 'reactions' show that you 'get it '- every nuance of John's performance. Every interaction with his so engaged audience (also being part of the performance) - you 'get it'. Every aspect of it. Every time it comes up - you get it. You needn't pretend. You can't hide your so natural 'reactions'. What a pleasure to behold. This is what such videos should be about - you 'get it'.
John is an Aussie LEGEND! I was in the crowd of this concert and it was beyond amazing!! Not many people know but this is the slowed down version of The Beatles song 'Help' ... While you're checking out us Aussies, try Tina Arena - Chains xx Mad respect from Melbourne Australia xo
Stella, you are so wonderfully emotional and soulful... it is always a pleasure to look at and observe you. thank you for existing. Warm greetings from Germany
Oh my, anothr John Farnham convert. Join the club, it's getting larger every day. Nice reaction and nothing wrong with showing how you felt about the performance.
Great reaction & I agree he is one in a milllion. I want to introduce you to another’’ one in a million ‘’ performer who will take your breath away even more that John did. Her name is Amira Willighagen who won Holland’s Got Talent at the age of nine without a single singing lesson. For some reason, Reactors are unaware of Amira, although one of her uTube performances attracted over 72 million views. Work that out if you can. It doesn’t make sense. Amira is now 18 yo & has performed in some 20 countries & sung in at least five languages. Anyway, I’ve listed three of her performances below for your consideration & have listed her age on each. …. … O Mio Babbino Caro with Andre Rieu at age ten. 15,000 people stood as one to give her a standing ovation. …. … Ave Maria by Gomez at the Canisius Church at age 11. If it was just audio, you would think it is a seasoned, experienced artist of say 25 plus y.o. …. … Sound of Music medley at age 15. Amira sings one octave above the original by Julie Andrews and absolutely nails it. That’s just, three of many, many exceptional performances from a young lady with the voice of an angel. Cheers, Graeme. ps. Please give a thumbs up should you be interested. I assure you she will knock your socks off.
A beautiful reaction, you have a beautiful soul, I'm an Aussie and remember John's first song, he has come such a long way against all odds and is a damn nice guy to boot, always respects his fellow musicians, he is very humble and does not mind making fun of himself just for laughs, thank you for this reaction, just beautiful.
Sister please checkout Jimmy Barnes and Joe bonamassa Stone Cold trust me you’ll love it. And after that checkout Jimmy Barnes and John Farnham when something is wrong with my baby. The official video film clip. And these are only 2 plus many other Australian artists I grown up listening to
Simply one of the best the world has ever seen . Check out his duets with Jimmy Barns , When something is wrong with my Baby , Olivia Newton John , Please dont ask me and Anthony Harhlow Grenada . Also I like A touch of Paradise as a beautiful love song.
Also if you loved this song and artist then this live performance of please don't ask me by John Farnham and olivia Newton John of the song please don't ask me will move you to tears it's so beautiful. ua-cam.com/video/2uV_tZODfK8/v-deo.html
What John has achieved in his life time of performing is honestly nothing short of amazing. Yes, it's a shame he was not recognised at the time, but he is getting out there through platforms like UA-cam which is now delivering him to the world to give him the recognition he truly deserves. His passion for performing is unmatched and the fact he can move you and his audience so much is a true estament to his abilities as a performer.
Just one of the greatest voices of all time.....
Thats what we like to call 100% soul and 1000% talent .
I was there that night, i can to u first hand that the performance was just absolutely stunning, last song of the concert and he belted it out help like it was he's first. So Proud to be an Australian and so proud of our boy the Legend that is John Farnham..
I have seen him live 4 times. I believe this is the best live performance ever heard!
This is why we Australians call John Farnham THE VOICE
his performance is amazing in that he made it a new song completely sax and voice perfect
John sings from his soul, and Australia absolutely loves this man.
He can sing, and he is also a humble, brilliant person.
As an Australian myself I want to thank you for reacting to this song , John Farnham is an Australian Music Legend and he is currently recovering from Health Problems so thank you for paying tribute to him.
I've listened to this about 100+ now. Life-changing! ❤
Best singer of all time. Please react a lot more to this legend

I've noticed that this video is spreading like a virus. A good one though. So proud of our "voice" ❤️
I do the same. This girl even gave me a tear or 2.
As an Aussie it is so heartwarming to see such a reaction to our Johnny 😊❤
I was at one of those concerts. 12 or 13 yrs old. He invited all the kids to come to the front. Loved it.
What a beautiful reaction. We feel it too!!!!
John Farnham is incredible!
If listening to John sing this doesn't bring a tear to your eye, you don't have a soul. Thank you for reacting to an Aussie legend.
It doesn't matter how many times i watch John and the MSO singing help, it brings a tear to my eye....

The Greatest Australian Vocalist.
I love seeing overseas people apricate John.
The world needs this song more than ever … we all need help us and our loved ones

This was after a 2 hr concert. What a voice. Get Well. JOHN. THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES.
The even more amazing thing is he came back out after this and sang another encore which included 'It's a Long Way to the Top'. He engages with his audience like no other.
Welcome to Australia Starr! 😃💐
THANKS FOR YOUR REACTION AND YOUR COMMENTS. MAYBE YOU CAN EXPLAIN MORE YOUR EMOTIONS, SEEING AS YOU TALKED ABOUT BEING SO EMOTIONAL.
Great reaction This was a fantastic concert you should watch as many song’s as you can, John is loved in Aussie by the way this was the encore after a long concert,
Great reaction. Isn't he fantastic. Hope you will be reacting to lots more from John Farnham. Check out Playing to Win for something fun

I knew you would love this, this is a Beatles song, that John Farnham turned into a ballad, John Lennon heard this version before his death & said this is how it should have been sung.
It’s indeed a masterpiece.
Thank you for recommending it. It was truly what I needed to listen to 💙
Said to whom? When? Any link to the interview or conversation? Or did you read that in the UA-cam comments section?
Next up "You're the voice" By Mr Farnham
It has to be the version with The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra ❤❤❤❤

I want to comment, but for what ..this is so ..........the voice is so......... damn good ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤john farnham
Ah, you're adorable! Getting emotional is exactly the right reaction. Love this!
A lovely response to this interpretation of Help, John Lennon said this was how he wanted it to be performed.
Australian Legend is Our John 😝👍He is the voice of our country ! An Aussie Treasure 🇦🇺🏄♂️🏖

Thankyou! No matter how many times I watch this I get goosebumps.
Thats our FARNSEY 👍👍👍👍
The object of 'reaction' videos should be to do just that, show a 'reaction'. This you do splendidly. Your face shows your every emotion as you hear the song. You can't help but 'react'. Every one of your 'reactions' show that you 'get it '- every nuance of John's performance. Every interaction with his so engaged audience (also being part of the performance) - you 'get it'. Every aspect of it. Every time it comes up - you get it. You needn't pretend. You can't hide your so natural 'reactions'. What a pleasure to behold. This is what such videos should be about - you 'get it'.
This guy has an absolutely fantastic voice!.John M Guinto
Beautiful reaction to an extraordinary performance 👌👌👌
John is an Aussie LEGEND! I was in the crowd of this concert and it was beyond amazing!! Not many people know but this is the slowed down version of The Beatles song 'Help' ... While you're checking out us Aussies, try Tina Arena - Chains xx Mad respect from Melbourne Australia xo

Help for mine was the greatest live Aussie song ever...one regret i have is that i wasnt there..
The absolute BEST reaction I have seen! Beautiful. Cheers fro Oz.
Beautiful reaction to a beautiful man💕
Great reaction & I agree he is one in a milllion.
I assure you she will knock your socks off.
what a great voice , one of a kind

Yes I'm so glad you mentioned that youtube gives this generation the opportunity to discover a legend
Absolutely 💯 💯 💯 💯 couldn't have said it better myself!!!
