Eeeeeekk its so so exciting!! I hope you get to UEA okay and if you have any questions or need with anything, literally anything feel free to drop me an email or message me on any of my social media! I was legit the same last year, that's what I've tried to help with this year so people have some sort of idea, so I'm really happy it was helpful for you!xo
Thank you so much! Ohhh Victory House was literally 30 seconds walk from my flat, but yes the rooms have the same set-up as shown here. Some rooms are slightly wider whilst some are slightly longer, it just depends on your room to be honest. Victory House is on Campus, as its campus accommodation, but it is like a 5minute walk I guess from the main Campus hub, so like the Students Union, the Hive, The Library, The Bars and the Bank so not far at all!
Hey! Nice video! Very informative and interesting, thanks for sharing :) by the way any opinions on Colman House? I didn't see it mentioned when reading the other comments
Hello! Thank you so so much, I'm glad you liked it! I had two friends who lived in Colman House, and its pretty much the same set-up as where I was living so the same as this video! All the ensuite campus accommodation is pretty much the same, just with bigger rooms in different houses x
Hello, I will be UEA student in September (for master degree), your room is so nice. I would like to know " Where do you choose to stay at UEA, En Suite Hickling/Barton? En Suite village?" I will book some UEA accommodations but I don't know, Which one should I choose? haha
Hello Puthita, I hope you're good! I would say, En Suite Hickling/Barton has nicer accommodation and it is on campus, so closer to everything whereas En Suite Village is 10/15minutes walk from central campus. However, En Suite Hickling/Barton is more expensive than En Suite Village, so it just depends on what you are able to afford as well! If you have anymore questions feel free to drop me an email koshesai.m@gmail.com x
Hello! I feel like there is a way for you to apply to be in a room with a friend, because in first year I had two friends that lived together. Just get in contact with UEA Accomodation via email and I'm sure they'll be able to help you out!
Hi! Absolutely love your room, looks very cozy! I'm moving to uea in September and I've been thinking about getting the Two bedroom unit. Do you know anything about that kind of accommodation? Thanks a lot
Hiya Honda! Aww thank you so much, I really made sure it was home away from home. The two bedroom units I am aware of are located in the Ziggs and you have to share with someone/ However, I had a friend who initially had a person they shared a room with, but then their roomate moved out so they had the place to themselves. All the other people who I know lived together in a two bedroom unit, stayed together for the entirety of their first year, so it just depends really but I don't know if you can just apply for a two bedroom unit if you want the whole thing to yourself, you'd have to ask the University specifically! i hope this helps, if you have anymore questions feel free to email me at koshesai.m@gmail.com xxx
There aren't courts as such, it is just like houses and then flats within those houses. Then in Ziggs you have Norfolk and Suffolk Terrace and within those there are different blocks, all which have different levels which mean different flats. But then in the Village there are courtyards. I was in Paston House Flat 20, and the rooms sizes change depending on which accommodation you're in. The Ziggs are known to have the biggest rooms, but you aren't ensuite. Then I think Constable Terrace and Nelson Court(both ensuite accommodation) have the next biggest rooms, followed by all the other houses and Hickling and Barton. Hickling and Barton however has more of a social area in the kitchen which the other ensuite campus accommodation doesn't have, the rooms are a little smaller though but they are newer and a lot brighter! I hope this helps!! If you have anymore questions, feel free to drop me an email!
thanks so much that helped a lot. I am going to be in Nelson court, which has a bigger room as you said but its a bit older isnt it ? so thats a downside
I'm glad!! Ooouu yes Nelson Court rooms are a bit bigger, and they have full body mirrors and better lighting so they are always plus sides! I'm not too sure on how old it is, but you can't tell too much the difference in size so don't think about it too much!
Hellooo! Like behind my door in my room there was like a little hook thing, (I'd show you but I don't have a photo) and my whiteboard has like black string attached to it so I just hung it on there and stuck the corner down with some bluetack. You are allowed to have stuff on the walls, if you look at the Terms and Conditions it says as follows: The Licensee will not: 15.8 Posters and Coverings: Place on any door, ceiling, window or light fitting of the study bedrooms, any posters, paper, material (including curtains and blinds) or covering of any kind. 15.9 Posters and Coverings on Bedroom Walls: Place on any wall of the Room any posters, paper, material or covering of any kind which together covers an area equivalent to more than half the floor area of the study bedroom. So as long as you follow these rules then you will be fine, but in all honesty no-one comes into measure anything, just be sensible about what you're putting up!
Hellooo! Congratulations on getting into UEA!!! I'm glad you found my little video helpful. This was in Paston House, but although it was ensuite campus, rooms in Constable Terrace and Nelson Court are slightly bigger and have things that like some of the other houses didn't have. Yes you are indeed as far as I am concerned, haha don't worry random is good!
I really enjoyed your video. I'm hoping to study abroad at UEA next year. Are all the en suite bathrooms roughly the same size or are some of them bigger?
Hello! I am so so so sorry I might even be a bit late now with my response. But just incase you were still wondering or if anyone else is to see this, the size of the ensuite rooms varies but not dramatically. It just depends on the building and the position of the room. I'm so so sorry once again but if you did end up studying abroad at UEA please drop me an email, us love to hear about your experience!!
It's my pleasure! This accommodation is for everyone as far as I am concerned, all you have to do is apply, but refer to this portal.uea.ac.uk/accommodation/options just to make sure! I know there is some accommodation only for Postgraduates such as Crome Court xo
Unfortunately I don't work for the university or the admissions team so I won't be able to help getting you admission, but if you have any questions about the university please feel free to email me!
Hiiiii my name is Jess i neeeeeed your help and advice. I will also be doing economic but is it difficult? I am soooo scared and I am waiting for an offer to uea. Please reply as soon as possible and also I would like to know if you have to share a room with another black persons just because you are black
Hello Jess!! Apologies for the late reply I hadn't seen your comment. I don't study straight economics it's part of a dual honours so my experience will be very different. If you drop me an email I can put you in contact with one of my friends who study economics so they can give you a better idea? No you don't have to share a room with someone black if you're black at all, the allocation isn't based on race. However, you also don't have to share a room if you don't want to. Drop me an email if you have anymore questions so it doesn't take me years to reply again!💛
Ahh thanks so much for this! I move into UEA accommodation next week & was really struggling to find recent videos showing the accommodation!

In the 2 bedroom unit is there a way you can choose who you want to be with? for example if your friend wants live with you.

Which court are you in?? And do the different courts have different sized rooms
