Appreciating Frank’s scripts experimenting with them all and also really enjoy your reviews that you put out. It’s great to have like minded people dedicated and interested in learning from each other. Thanks all on UA-cam and forums 👍

This is the second time you posted a video on the same day I had a question that needed answering. I was literally typing in "how to stretch stars" when I saw your video. You're unbelievable. Thank you.

Thanks for featuring these tools, Sascha.

I agree about the preview, you can change the zoom level to see all the stars, but the script runs so fast you can just run it on the image just as fast. But the people asked for it!

Thanks for highlighting this script, Sascha, and thanks for creating it, Frank. I actually find the preview a useful indicator when the view is zoomed all the way out. Helps improve my first attempt at a stretch.

RC didn’t invent neural net based star extraction, but he did make a very nice commercialization of it.

He did not invent it, I agree, but he perfected it. Even today StarNet is still existing, so nobody is "forced" to buy SXT, but as it looks like most people see the added benefit of SXT and then I think there is nothing wrong in asking a price for the product.....

The only thing I don't like about this script is it forces an SCNR to reduce green and when I've used SPCC correctly I don't need to do that and it actually makes my diffraction spikes look worse because it removes the green from the nice diffraction pattern leaving only blue and red.

100% agree. I forwarded your message to Frank - I'm sure he can make it optional.

I got Sascha's message, I can get that as an optional checkbox to have it apply scnr or not. I really appreciate the suggestions and feedback!

Anybody else getting errors trying to add the link to repositories?

Message from Frank: If you havent upgraded to PixInsight build 1605 (which came out in March) I highly recommend you do that as all scripts are going to require signatures going forward. You do this from the PixInsight download site. This will fix the error if you are trying to use the repository.
If you still run into a parsing error or signature error you can download the zip file directly from my website and then just extract the .js files (delete the .xsgn file). You can then go to Scripts -> Feature Scripts -> Add Script and select the folder you extracted the .js file too.
Let me know if this helps
      Frank

Cannot get the SetiAstro script tool into scripts by copying his Setiastro main repository link.
