Changing a tire machine to a track machine

- This video is about transforming a tire machine skid steer to a track machine. Using Camoplast tracks to go over the tires. Makes it a whole different machine. This video was re-uploaded due to quality issues.
You lay the ratchet strap on the ground,then lay the track on it,so when you tighten the strap,you get the track compressed to the tires and not only pulled from the upper side.
A clean rust free pin help for sure.
I would have impact driven the pin,when twisting,the pin would self center better.
They should give you a bullet nose nut to drive the pin in easy, or a tapered end pin ,it would self center.
Whatta nightmare of a job …..having to go through that every time you want to use tracks😣 You guys got it thought 👍🙂
That’s cool. I never knew they make those kinda tracks in rubber. I’ve always seen the metal ones

Guys lower the tire pressure to get the tracks on. Then air up.
I think we try that but because they’re 12 ply tires it really didn’t make a difference .

No dave that is not how tracks work you take the wheels Off and then you can put the tracks on

These tracks give the Skidsteer more traction.
O yeah
It looks like a real compact track loader just because a compact track loader is shaped like a Skidsteer.
Why not just deflate the tyres?
Or use two bulldozers, as Andrew Camarata would do.
Some models have Hard Rubber Tires.
