Surviving The Game kinda sorta sounded like a modern mashup of previous stuff. It was still good though.
Yet most of them have similar message. It's amazing!
It’s insanely unique cause they pretty much combine the old style with the new style. You have the heavy/grittiness of collide and comatose mixed with the old school industrial/electronic rock from the early 2000s packed into one album! Skillet pleases the OG/ old school fans and the newer fans!
This song to me means even though you are Going through struggles and in your life you are struggling like you never had before that there is still a hope even if you are standing in the storm you are strong enough to overcome it

When I finally got a tow and a ride home, I checked my phone. While I was in the rain, Skillet released Standing in the Storm. There's no such thing as coincidences.

Skillet songs always remind me that just because I'm struggling doesn't mean it's all over and that there's no chance of overcoming it. They remind me that it's ok that it's hard sometimes, but also that I have the strength to fight it, and that I'm able to regain control. It's really easy to slip into depression and back into bad habits, and skillet has always been amazing encouragement during those times. I definitely needed to hear that today, thank you guys so much!

I am a fan of Skillet. I wish their lyrics and legend were more evangelical with bible references. It is one thing sing about faith, strength, courage that can appeal masses but the lyrics fail to mention the source by directing God, Jesus, and Lord Instead of inferences Skillet has made their millions, it's time.
