It all started I think 2 nights ago with that crazy windstorm. Jackie hunkered down and prepared herself for the long haul. By morning the wind died down some and just as Jackie was getting her bearings after such a tumultuous night the rain started. And it was a downpour for the entire morning and afternoon. But Jackie already had the determination from the night before to do her job! She turned herself into an umbrella and fortified her resolve. She was going to keep her clutch of eggs warm and dry. The rain turned to freezing drizzle and as the second evening cam it started to snow. Here we are some twenty hours later and it's still snowing. Jackie has now built an Eagloo to surpass all other Eagloos. Going on 48 hours since this adventure in motherhood began Jackie remains determined to see this through. She knows Shadow is always watching and waiting for her call to help if she needs him. What she doesn't know is the tens of thousands of humans connected together all over the world also watching over her and her clutch. We love you Jackie & Shadow and thank you FOBBV for giving the world a peak into nature.
Thanks for the info, because most of the comments on the other channels are made by some halfwits. And shame on FOBBV that they have not uploaded the streamed footage from previous days.
I really do feel for her. These eagles are like family. I know it's hard on everyone involved with FOBBV. You know way more than us. We learn from you. We have learned to trust the eagles. I do, but it's still difficult at times. We're flooding rains in San Gabriel Valley, but we see what they endure is much harder. Jackie's a trooper. A strong woman 🏆 TYVM Cali. We appreciate you ❤
If Jackie could speak.... she would probably say " I LOVE this weather, best part of the year!" Plus + 🥚🥚🥚 babies to care for 🎉🎉🎉 I love winter as a human, way over hot summer months. Literally, LOVE WINTER TIME❤😊
❤ *Beautiful Snow Queen!* ❤ It's unbelievable 😳 but, understandable! Bald Eagles have over 7,000 feathers to keep them warm. And, with their average body temp of 106°F, the snow probably feels refreshing. 😊 Thank you, Cali Condor 😍 Be blessed, everyone! 😇🙏🤗🌻💖🦅😻💕
I agree... she would tell us... " THIS IS THE BEST PART OF THE YEAR, WINTER!!! I DONT HAVE TO BE HOT." LOL... THAT SAID, I DONT EVEN HAVE FEATHERS, AND LOOK FORWARD TO COLD WINTER EVERY YEAR 🎉 NO SUMMERTIME SWEATING. I HATE SWEAT. MAKES YOU FEEL DIRTY & STICKY. EWWW.😅
I am in SO MUCH AWE of these beautiful creatures! This is such a gift to view. In class, we use our plushies to see who’s on the nest. Jackie’s been there for a couple days now!
Wow, Jackie is one devoted mother! ❤️🔥 I’ve seen videos of her slightly buried under the snow ❄️, but this one takes the gold! More dedicated than most human mothers if you ask me.
OMG my tears came to see Jackie and I tell my coworkers place prayers for Jackie, eggs, tree, Shadow make strong and protect and all wildlife BB San Bernardino 😢🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼my poor Jackie mama example 🥰🥰
I've been watching this for hours now. I guess she decided it was time to rotate the eggs, and shook off the eagloo. Yet now… she's covered again! What amazing dedication and resolve!
I think it looks worse too because of the build up of snow between the camera and Jackie, making it difficult to see her down there! But I love the way she spreads her wings out a wee bit to create an umbrella of protection over the nest and her eggs ❤
Perfect video snip. Thank you for sharing this with us all. Wow, amazing, and oh my gosh. Glad for the snow, glad it's not more rain up there. hugs to all.
OMG look at all that snow! Like last year -I hope the eggs make it. it was such a hard winter last year and they didn't hatch fingers crossed for THE BEST parents EVER🦅🦅🤍🤍
Just keep praying everyone. Poor Jackie. She’s so so special. God Bless J & S and their three precious eggs. Thank you Cali Condor for the updates. ❤🦅🦅🥚🥚🥚
When the wind was gusting hard, and the tree was swaying, I worried about the nest. Then I researched the Jeffery Pine (the tree the nest is in) and was relieved to know that Jeffery Pines not only have a very deep taproot, but a very extensive system of secondary roots as well. They are tough trees. I think the eagles chose well. They're tough too!
Thanks for that research. You made me feel so much better. I watched live cam all night when the wind was blowing so hard. Praying continually for God to protect the tree and nest. That was terrible to watch but glad I stuck it out.
Thank you so much for these clips and for your clear and precise narration. I really appreciate that you don’t overlay human emotions onto Jackie and shadow!❤
the snow were very heavy, continous snowfall are dangerous, the branches hold the nest will give in! its already leaning! hoping it will rain to melt the snow

%100 well said!!! THANKS SO MUCH @Cali Condor and @FOBBY CAM LIVE.
Yes, thank you God for creating Jackie and Shadow and connecting us in this way. A little laptop that fits in our palms. Love you Jesus.

Big yellow beak emerges from snow.
Here is our beloved Jackie 😘😘😘
Jackie is an amazing dedicated mother🦅🦅🦅
Actually, it instinctual. She does not know any better. But she is a sweetheart..

Yes they do, bald eagles have contour feathers.

Just a note: if the body temp is 106, then 106 would feel normal, not hot to the eagles.
Wow CC, amazing right!
These creatures are adapted to the weather!
Bravo to our Jackie!
TC !❤
@ll5974
Yes! But, the temperature of the snow would be much less of a bother than it would be for humans, relatively speaking. 😊
and 20 minutes later she's covered in snow again! what a snowfall! jackie is a superstar!
What a dedicated Mom. Stay safe our eagle family! Eggs so cozy warm under Mom. 💞 Thank you, Cali Condor!
Better snow than rain. Snow insulates, rain does not.
But she was soaked with rain when the snow started. That's what worries me.
but heavy snow can collapse a nest, rain can't...
This is an award winning moment caught on video!🏆Absolutely Fabulous!🎉🎊🎉🎊

Jackie’s leading her best eagle life. Thank you Cali Condor, always the best bits.👏🏼
Now that's an eagloo! Happy that it's finally snowing instead of freezing rain, maybe Jackie can be a little more comfortable now.
booo
I've been watching this for hours now. I guess she decided it was time to rotate the eggs, and shook off the eagloo. Yet now… she's covered again! What amazing dedication and resolve!
Eagloo!🎊🎉🎊🎉🎉I love it😅😅👏👏👏👏
Thank you for this Cali. I was worried
I'm crying for her, so sad. Poor Jackie. I hope her babies make it.
OMG, this is even worse than last year! So hard to watch! Dear Jackie, we send so much love to you, Shadow and the eggs! ❤❤🦅🦅🥚🥚🥚❤❤❤
Jackie just showed up to relieve us ❤
Oh my, what an amazing eagle mom…
I think it looks worse too because of the build up of snow between the camera and Jackie, making it difficult to see her down there! But I love the way she spreads her wings out a wee bit to create an umbrella of protection over the nest and her eggs ❤
This is absolute torture to watch. The storm should be gone by tomorrow. We all love you Jackie. 🦅🦅❤
I agree.
@user-jp8bt9mv7k Oh Thank goodness! Glad to hear that! I was wondering when it was going to stop! Ty for that info!

The Indomitable Snowwoman, Jackie! I hope Shadow found a safe covered porch nearby.❤🦅🦅🥚🥚🥚

It's just 25 minutes later now and you can't see her at all on the live cam again. That snow storm is crazy.
I just about had a heart attack when I saw the thumbnail. No eagle mama but a huge coating of snow. Wow these eagles continue to amaze me.
This brings new meaning to the term , snowbird❤

I feel for Jackie. Great mom, normal northern Mi. winter.

Oh my goodness, I’m so glad God made her with the right kind of feathers 🪶 to keep her warm.
She popped her head up.
Oh my,imagine if RxCKSTxR did Jackie's comments about this😅😅😅
Love that idea!!
Jackie is a Rockstar
눈이 그만 내리길 간절히 바람니다
영상 감사합니다
I hope she gets some food!
Talk about Mother of the Year!
She’s the BEST….and Um guessing that snow and ice barrier protects the eggs from the wind… probably nice and toasty in there
