***** I was just practicing today and I got a sub 19 and 20 . I'm sure I'll get a sub 15 soon with just a bit more practice and another lucky solve. I have been improving though. A couple weeks ago I couldn't stop getting 27-35 seconds and now I'm getting about 26 seconds for my worst solves. I also just beat my best average of 5 with 21.534 yesterday. So I'm getting there. Hopefully in about a week or so I'll at least get a sub 16.
yes, but this video proved that he can achieve the WR every few solves, which is not obvious from the weekly episodes from which we can only deduce that he gets the WR about once a week
yeah, obviously he can get under the world record a few times, and people comparing him to Lucas... 😂bitch please Lucas only had a so fucking good luck to get this time.
It trully changed the world of speedcubes and speedcubing forever. It is the monocoque chassis and carbon fiber in racing equivalent of cubing. From them on many new cubes have been made but none has been a clear winner, cheap and apt for OH and normal solving as well as for newbies and pro solvers alike.
@@rexyaxy4314 let's just say I haven't solved a cube in about 5 years but now I've found my old cubes and yeah, got so bored I've learnt how to solve them all again in the past couple days
+Ethan585790 Weilong GTS is my close second too, really the only difference I find between the two is that the Weilong GTS just rarely fails a corner cut and locks a bit, but I haven't failed a corner cut in a solve before up to now. :)
My main is the Gans 356 Air. I really like Ganspuzzles, so I had to order it. On the day I got it I broke all my PBs. I am now more averaging like 16 seconds, a lot faster than 17.5 seconds as I did on the 356 S. My PB ao5 got down by 1.2 seconds and my single got down by 1.8. I also got a sub-16 ao12. I don't think I will ever change my main again.
Personally the YAN3 is my favorite cube, based on feeling, mine has never locked up even thought I have sort of a rough turning style, so I really am comfortable with it
He doesn't really have much of a collection (especially for the worlds best cuber) at least from what I've seen. It looks like just a bunch of each wca event, but I could be wrong.
Felik's isn't really one to collect different cubes. Like Cubie said, he mainly does speedcubing so that's what he practices on. Unlike RedKB, he is still a speed cuber but isn't nearly as fast. This is probably because he spends so much time with strange looking cubes like a 3x3x4 or something that they don't use in a competition. Felik's is about competition. Although I'm sure he has a couple strange cubes.
I was out of cubing for a few years, a lot has changed inside the community. I'm still cubing with the DaYan ZhanChi. Are the cubes now a big difference? What would you recommend me for a cube.
If anyone still has the same question as you 5 years ago: yes it's a big improvement especially because of magnets. As of 2023 I believe the best cubes are the RS3M Super (very cheap and flagship performance), the Xman tornado V3 (My favourite, very high performance and amazing feel), and the Weilong v9/YS3M. Gan flagship are good but 80$ is just unreasonable given how good other cheaper cubes are
I hope that the Yangchen Yan 3x3 and the MoFang Jiaoshi MF3RS are good cubes. They are fairly cheap, and I bought them to start to get better times and transition from an ordinary Rubik's brand cube. I used a worn-out Gans cube that my friend showed me, and it was amazing. I get why many people like Feliks use them as their main, as it is so controllable, and the circular center makes for great corner cutting.
I am new to cubing and I am sub 50. My cube is really bad so I want to buy a speed cube. So which one will be better? As I am new I don't have any certain style or preference.
QiYi Thunderclap. It's only $8, you can buy off TheCubicle.us. It's currently the best cube for its price, and is very flexible for turning style preferences. Give it a try!
try a not so fast one at first - if you go for like an aolong or a gans then it'll just be too fast for you. guanlongs are very cheap and pretty quick so go there - it's like $6 or something
Thomas The Racer GuanLongs are not good cubes, and Thunderclaps are very controllable by nature--perfect for beginners and advanced cubers alike. GuanLongs are really badly designed, I recommend against getting one.
try speed cube on a normal rubiks... because them damn non cubers keep complaining that im not using the official rubiks so its "technically not solving the rubiks cube" you know how hard it is to turn those rubiks cubes
Feliks you made me wanna start solving a rubiks cube when i saw you solve one in 4.73 seconds i was "wow that was so fast" now i can only solve one in 60 seconds
eric Gallant If you're willing to put enough time into setting this cube up properly, I'd recommend getting a QiYi Thunderclap v1. It's everything you describe except smooth out of the box (it feels more crunchy), but you can break it in and lube it specifically to make it more smooth with something like Lubicle Silk. If you want that feeling out of the box, though: the newer Gans cubes (356 v2 and Air) are smooth, don't really pop, control very well, and corner cut very well. The choice is yours!
The solve was unofficial, so he didn't break any world record. Official world record single is 4.73 by Feliks Zemdegs, and Feliks' unofficial PB is 3.52 seconds.
How do you have your Zhanchi set up? I have one and I like it loose but it keeps popping :/ Also, thoughts between Gans Air and Valk, I quite like my friends YueXiao. I'm also planning to try out a magnet mod on the Zhanchi 😂

Feliks changes his main when he gets better results on the cube/finds that it feels better. Coming from the Gans 356v2, the Air is more controllable but still light and fast, which Feliks seems to be into since he mains Gans cubes... so it's partially because he broke some of his PB's on the cube, partially because he likes the feeling in general

Zhanchi is pretty tight and blocky, so not too many cubes feel like it. Maybe the MoYu TangLong or Gans 357?
