If I was dark fusion concepts I would be extremely angry you don't even understand how the ventilation works (exhaust goes out the back)on the ps5 or the fact it only has 1 fan not 2. Gives a bad look and makes you look like you don't do your research. And have no idea what you are talking about. 😢

3 years with my PS5, not even once I got notification about overheating. Not to say it doesn’t happen but chances either you’re unlucky or you’re a messy person.
I've been getting that message recently. I have no idea why. I even cleqn the vents
I recently took it out of the box to play Stellar Blade despite purchasing the Spiderman edition when it was out end of last year(Don't judge i was busy and still had PS4 games i was occupying my time with).
Anyway, that means it still hasn't been tested in the crazy summer heat of my country that is just starting. So whether it can overheat or not it will be tested in the coming months.
One thing i must admit surprised me pleasantly was how quiet it is. I can't hear anything from the 2 meters distance i have from it when am playing.
I've had mine since launch, and to this day, I've had zero issues with overheating. I only needed to deep clean it once as well, I noticed the accumulation of dust over the power supply, I think the next covers should have cleanable or replaceable dust filters over the vents, but maybe that's too much lol 😆
it happens when youre just in a hot room it happened to me only a couple of times and i had mine for abt a year

The heat goes out the back and there only one fan also if your console is overheating then you probably need to clean it

Let me correct you the PlayStation 5 sucks air from the top blows it everywhere to all the components that need to get cooled off like the CPU and then it passes through the heat sink and blows out the back those side vents on those plates are designed to help the console suck air from the sides into the fan and make airflow much better. And for those who have an overheating PlayStation 5 is because you have it in an enclosure that recycles the hot air or you don't even bother taking the plates off removing the fan and using an electric blower to remove the dust that accumulates I clean my PlayStation on the first of the month and I have it in an open area where it sucks cool air releases the hot air towards the back, but it doesn't recycle it. It dissipates everywhere.

You want to add a heat source like your external hard drive into the case of another heat source which is your PS5 🤦🏾♂️
My console is inside the cabinet of my entertainment center and I have never had any overheating issues. I also use 2 AC Infinity fans installed into back of cabinet to create airflow

Can you do a cooling test?
Just keep your PS5 horizontally +fan cleaned and you got no issues..
All you need is take off both plates and little torx(dont remember size). Then unscrew 4 little bolts and you got fan in your hands without taking any cabels off.
Carefully turn it upside down (Do not stretch cabels!) and with little brush and vacuum cleaner you can clean dirt off your fan.
Also remember brush both plates and air intake parts clean before taking parts back together.
And now your PS5 is ready again for those long game sessions🙂
A 180' usb dongle would look way better for the external hard drive. The bent ass cable looks bad.

There is only one fan. The other air vent is meant to dissipate the heat for the EXTERNAL Hard Drive meant to sit in the pocket. The plates are dope though.
What about mounting? My PS five is Mountain on my wall am I able to mount It with these covers on?
Love your content, and the plates look cool. But dbrand 2.0 plates have openings on both plates as well and much thinner. Maybe do a comparison video.
Ps5 was optimized ventilation wise. Having the air flow out in different places may be a downside. Without testing the internal temps, there is no real way to know.

This is like the typical Honda guy ripping out the factory airbox to install a "cold air intake" that literally just sucks in the hot air from the engine bay. The vents were designed by Sony for a reason.. I'd love to see the thermal dynamics airflow data for these cases... Having said that, vents aside, the mounting of an external storage drive in the case is a cool idea.

I have an original ps5, no overheating issues with up to 3-5 hour play sessions at times. Must be a ps5 slim issue.
This plates are for normal PS5. Don't worry the whole speech is marketing for this guys anyway. PS5 doesn't even pull out air from the sides but from the back. The side vents are to help air get in and it doesn't have two fans as he said but only one fan.

Ckid one random question do those plate fit with a SCRY cooling fan cause I have a SCRY cooling fan connected on OG5 to reduce heat if so I would be a crazy combo to and to this video 👍🏼👍🏼👌🏼👌🏼

Got a question about the pulse explore (sorry off topic) do they dissconnect with ur ps5 too no issues with the portal tho only with the ps5 sometimes 2 times in 10 minutes
Yeah mine still do that to this day.. Just random cuts off... Only takes a second to reconnect, but it's still a pain in the ass.. So I decided to just plug it in the controller and deal with it like that.. The sound is still good though

I'm going through the overheat playing Helldiver 2. I think the heat is melting my power cord. Just instantly shuts off my system(3years old). I cleaned out the system. Works. Just overheating now. So this looks promising.
I have a Western Digital External and it doesn’t fit based off the dimensions… I have personally spoken with the owner of the company .. tho it’s definitely dope to buy I just couldn’t because that one flaw..

It used to run great before, but now it's starting to lag for a minute or two, and then the lag goes away. Is it a software issue? and can slow network also make it lag on home screen aswell? Please let me know because im worried. It not my console performance issue because its like brand new. Do you know anything about this? I will really appreciate if you explain it

You do know that on the side is intake and top. Exhaust is out the back. Buttttt we get what your trying to say. Dope video and them are dope. But i lay mine on its side and i use a different stand that has the ps5 higher off the counter. So these wouldn't work for me. Cause it would cut off airflow on one side if i lay it flat. Are there vents where the external hard drive gose because it didn't look like it. Its great design but it definitely needs some tweaks
Nice set up but it needs a fan to help move the air not just let it out I got a set up off amazon that swops the side panel with a big ass fan installed in it and shows temperature my shit used to over heat tell I got it and I be blow down around mine and I see it just pushing the smoke away
The air flow comes in thru the top where the plates open up and escapes out the back and the bottom. And it is one fan that is exposed on both sides. Come on ckid

Unfortunately I don’t see any designs for the ps5 slim which is a bummer to be honest. Was really looking forward to buying it too. Hopefully sooner or later they do release one for the new model.
Is a new thing so they will need some time to release products for it.
Personally i am fine with my big PS5 looks because i got the Spiderman edition and the plates are really cool so i don't really want to change them with anything aftermarket.

@@CKidM I think from a maintenance point of view... y'all need to take the plates off at least one a month to clean the dust off. Just wipe it off and if you want to you can use canned air too, although not a necessary.
