One think that should be mentioned, the GB defense deserves credit here. Forcing Dallas to kick five FGs was huge. They bent, but didn't break which ultimately allowed GB to catch up. And then after bending but not breaking all day they salted it away with those two late picks.
As much as I would say i'd give credit to the GB defense early, i'd give a lot of credit to the poor play calling by Dallas in the 2nd half which also lead to the comeback. Regardless of who you're playing, I think it's terrible to just assume you're going to win a game with 30 minutes left to play only up by 3 scores.
The Cowboys "let em off the hook", as Coach Green would put it. They completely abandoned the run in the 2nd half for no reason. Even us Packers fans were looking at each other going, "You're running the ball at will against this defense, why would you even consider throwing the ball?"
Matt Flynn was one of my favorite QB’s and I loved him after that 6 TD game he had against Detroit that I was at. This man bailed us out and got us into the playoffs on TWO separate occasions....And I will forever be greatfull that we had Matt Flynn!
He definitely should have had a better opportunity to start in the league. It was terrible timing signing with Seattle after the huge 6 TD game and then they go draft a Russell Wilson in the 3rd round and clearly he deserved that starting job. Oakland and Buffalo really fucked up tho with Buffalo sticking with EJ Manuel and Oakland gave up on him after 1 game.
oh stop the lying. He only took over in 2013 and the only reason why we won the division and made the playoffs that year was because the Division was so bad that we won it with only 8 wins. He did not bail us out for anything. People love to lie to fit their agenda. The guy sucked and was a career back up QB.
Mason BANGING through that 57 yard bomb is another thing to consider as crucial in what ended up being a 1-point victory. Good on McCarthy for having faith in Mason and letting him kick that one.
That's why Eddie Lacy won Rookie of the Year that season lol, i appreciate his effort that season and i must say that was his BEST GAME that season. #GoPackGo
We couldn't stop DeMarco Murray and the Dallas ground game all day but for some reason Dallas kept throwing it and let us back in the game... the pics by Shields and Tramon were both epic
As a Packer fan living in Dallas, any time one of my coworkers wants to get smart or try to bring up the past success they have I always tell them, "Matt FLynn comeback game"
I remember this game, I worked weekends on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 6 pm to 6 am at this time, so I only saw first half where we got stomped. My brother his wife and a few friends were there, they are all cowboy fans. I live about an hour and a half away from Dallas so it’s all cowboy fans where I am I am the only packer fan around here, anyways I remember the trash everyone was talking my brother and my friends I actually had a 50 dollar bet on this game with a guy also that I worked with at the time. I was so sick at half time just upset at everyone talking all their mess and just giving me crap, then the pack came back and the text and calls I was getting stopped people were still saying oh they are to far Brito come back and win until about 2 minutes in the 4th boy they were all disappointed and sick and I absolutely loved it seeing as I had to put up with them for 3 full quarters and most of the 4th. It was one of the greatest packer victories I have ever seen including Super Bowls. This game was special just as special as beating the bears to go to the super bowl. I loved it and what made it even better was Matt Flynn is a Tyler Tx. boy. He went to Robert E. Lee high school so that was also very special to see him pull of that comeback. On of my favorite games of all time
@@tonymercer9449 you can’t really compare them, Eddie lacy as decent speed and would smash through defenders meanwhile aaron Jones is all speed and has great movement, would take either of ther
Well, we now finally got a beautiful pick this year QB Jordan Love backup what we really needed and now we have to get our offense and defensive back up again. QB doesn't win superbowl..... Teams win superbowl.
I was at this game and damn it was one of the greatest games i’ve watched. I remember walking out and just everyone chanting “GO PACK GO” there were a lot of salty Dallas fans.
Ah I remember being at this game. My cowboy friends felt terrible for me cause we both thought it was going to be competitive. Then the comeback happened and I ended feeling a little bad for them... that play calling by Dallas was rough...
I envy you I remember watching this even when were losing at half I had faith because cowboys make big plays and in the same breath big mistakes its no different with dak. Either way I'm in my mid 40s and this was the biggest packer comeback in my memory
Imagine if you had Matt Flynn and Jamaal Charles on your 2013 fantasy playoff team (at the same time Flynn led this comeback, Charles scored 5 TD’s for KC at Oakland)
I remember this game, I was at a buddy's bar and had my Packers gear on. All those Cowboys fans were giving it to me until the comeback. At the end of the game I stood up and did my Ric Flair WOOOOOOO! They were SILENT!
Absolutely without doubt, one of the best games ever played by a GB team, ever. The grit, the determination, the refusal to give up, to yield… they may have one by only 1 point, but that is the biggest 1-point victory I’ve ever seen.
The only place Matt Flynn could developed into a starting qb is in Green Bay it seems like he had a different confidence level than when he was in Oakland and Seattle
when he went to seattle they drafted russel wilson. that was probably super hard to have confidence then. then oakland drafted derek carr... so he never had much luck in that aspect.
I remember ice fishing during the first half thinking glad we didn't watch this one. As we were driving back listening on the old radio the comeback began. We made it home to watch the 4th quarter. Epic!!!!! Matt Flynn could ball when he needed to!!! With the Pack that is.
My grandad and i are from Mexico. We live in frontier between Reynosa, Mexico and Mcallen, Texas. I remember watch this game with my grandad in one Lubbys in the Plaza Mall of Mcallen. My Grandad is a Cowboy fan since the 60s and i a Packer fan since 2007. We see the 3 and 4 Quarter in the lubbys and all the restaurant was complete of cowboys fans and i was the only green bay packer fan and mexican jajaja. When the Packers win the game i screaming a lot and my grandad was sooooo angry jajaja. That was a great sunday night.
I remember listening to this game on the radio in dad's truck because we were putting flowers out at the cemetery for my mom and my grandparents and great grandparents. Got out of the truck. When we got to the cemetery we were down by a lot so we figured the game was over. Get back in the truck and it's a tie game 🤣
23 points is is the biggest deficit the Packers have overcome to win and they did it twice in their history and I was at both games! I believe the first time was in 1982 vs. the L.A. Rams in Milwaukee County Stadium, the Packers were down 23-0 at halftime and came back to win 35-23. It was quite an exciting game to watch, not so much in the first half though....LOL. Then, of course, this game where the Packers were down 26-3 at halftime and came back to win. I must say, the Dallas fans were all class and exhibited good sportsmanship. I didn’t get hassled at all during the first half and when the game ended they were, of course, disappointed but many of them shook my hand and congratulated me and I didn’t get assaulted.
Completely fitting that they won their first regular season game in Dallas since 1989 this way. 89 was the year of the "Majik Man" Don Majikowski and the "Cardiac Pack" and Matt FLynn did his own Majik Man impression in the 2nd half.
100%... Nowhere in the LEAGUE of Bettis... But a bigger build with quick feet and vision is a real asset to a team. Bettis ballooned after college but could carry his weight the same. Eddie, just got Lazy.
Matt Flynn > Brett Hundley, and it ain't even close!
Cowboys Stadium = Green Bay's home away from home.
just like santiago bernabeu = messi's training ground lol
@Saul Orosco definitely not the cowgirl's house when the packers comes to visit lmfao
That wasn't always the case. When Favre was the QB we always had trouble there, especially at playoff time.
@@kvernon1 well things have changed.
We even won a superbowl there lmao
One of the most underrated comebacks of all time

The Dallas coaching staff should be mentioned too. They were horrible.

I watch Flynn at lsu 08 and I said that whoever draft him would have the dynasty
He definitely should have had a better opportunity to start in the league. Yeah he did. FACTS B
LMAO. One of your favorites? man u must have low standards....
oh stop the lying. He only took over in 2013 and the only reason why we won the division and made the playoffs that year was because the Division was so bad that we won it with only 8 wins. Flynn-credible
CodyHGaming
Um, as a Packer fan nope he's not...
Hey, Wanna Play? Flynn was a great backup.
Flynn was the only backup for Rodger's that I felt really confident in. Thank you for all of the memories sir.
Mason BANGING through that 57 yard bomb is another thing to consider as crucial in what ended up being a 1-point victory. Good on McCarthy for having faith in Mason and letting him kick that one.
This was a year after he had the shittiest year of his career, not he’s one of the more consistent kickers in the game
I remember screaming 'HE GOT IT' when Tramon made that pick. Epic.
Eric Pearson What a game to be at! Must have been an awesome roadtrip. JJ
That's why Eddie Lacy won Rookie of the Year that season lol, i appreciate his effort that season and i must say that was his BEST GAME that season. #GoPackGo

This game was so good. I still remember how Dallas just knew they beat us. Oh the pain they had to have felt.
It was glorious.

He’s the best packers running back I’ve seen in my 12 years of watching them.

@Sarah Woods bruh no he wasn’t, and yeah I do I got his jersey
@Sarah Woods more like Ahmad green. Or you too little for that too?
One of my favorite all time games as a Packers fine. Flynn could play when he needed to.
I remember being at the game and early 3rd quarter my son had both hands over his face like this sucks... and magically Matt Flynn happened. Priceless
It never gets old watching my Packers beat the cowboys!!!!!!!!!
I’m a Falcons fan and I always love watching you beat Dallas! Y’all beat them more than I ever see anybody do! Lol
This was the last year the Packers had a good backup quarterback.
Well, we now finally got a beautiful pick this year QB Jordan Love backup what we really needed and now we have to get our offense and defensive back up again. QB doesn't win superbowl..... Teams win superbowl.
Could also call it "The Cowboys choke AGAIN".
This kept them in the playoff race
I was at this game...great second half comeback by the Packers. GB owns Dallas at Jerry World.
I envy you I remember watching this even when were losing at half I had faith because cowboys make big plays and in the same breath big mistakes its no different with dak. Either way I'm in my mid 40s and this was the biggest packer comeback in my memory
Man listen to that crowd, lots of Green Bay there in Dallas
Sounded like a home game at times in the 2nd half.
Probably because a lot of Dallas fans had left with it being practically a blowout...boy did they regret that
It's crazy how much more I like Romo now that he's retired, it's actually a shame that he never got a ring
Things happened where other people ate the cheese. Other than the botched snap can't really blame Romo. Too many instances to count.
The real reason we made the playoffs that year was this game right here
Matt Flynn's was great.
But my fav running back of all time for the Packers. Eddie Lacy was in beast mode. I love watching him play
Matt Flynn will forever be in my heart
Can watch this every day.

Matt Flynn was OP as a backup and it wasnt even close
This is one of the wildest games of all time
This game will always hold a special place in my heart, my grandpa and I watched this together just the two of us. Go Pack Go!
As a Cowboys fan, I knew kicking all those field goals instead of getting touchdowns was leaving the door open to choke haha, those days were brutal!!

THOUGHT THAT EXACT SAME THING LOL
its lil "Boi"
Jordy like. Get big
lol i remember that
Do more flashback highlights. I loved this
6 yrs later... & the pack still owns Dallas at jerry's world lol our 2nd home
Their spirit of Super Bowl XL came to support them. It will always give them at boost at this stadium, as long as there are Packers still left from it
That halftime speech must have been amazing
Matt Flynn looks fucking elite in the second half. Throw at 5:55 is great footwork on the run.
Go Pack Go!
We miss you Matt.

I don't...
This was my first nfl game
And man what a first game to exoerience as a packers fan!
Tony Romo makin' Tony Romo's things
Flynn is the most under rated backup. He had 6 touchdowns against the lions
That was great, down 23 points at half time and still won the game. Not many teams can say that. Only one team can....the Bills in 1993, down 32.
As a Packers fan, it is lovely living in DFW lol LOVELY

The creativity of running Lacy behind our two DTs lined up as fullbacks - like sending a medicine ball behind two wrecking balls...
I was at my grandmas for this game i was like 8. I was so pumped
Remember this like it was yesterday
Lacy is one of the most underrated back in nfl history
Literally anybody but Cowboys fans:
This does bring a smile to my face
Matt Flynn proves that LSU QBs are the best
I remember when Lacy scored the game winner I seriously thought Raji was getting the ball
Watching Eddie Lacy here, it's hard to imagine he had such a dramatic downturn. Imagine several years worth of runs like he had in this game?
The golden Lacy game
If it wasent for Eddie Lacy in 2013, we wouldnt have made the playoffs and would have lost more of the games Aaron Rodgers missed that year
Camren Lassiter THANK YOU, this was Lacy's BEST GAME that year and proved why he won Rookie of the Year that season.
Too bad Lacy didn't make an effort to stay in shape. Then maybe his NFL career wouldn't have been so short. He had such a promising first 2 years.
i almost forgot how good he was for a couple seasons. He was pretty explosive as a rookie running back..
Wow there's a pretty interesting trend with us against the cowboys. They should just start calling us daddy.
It's always an awesome day when Greenbay beats the Cowboys.
9:07 What Lacy could have been Great video.
The run before that is even more impressive. VIsion, burst, and power combined into a play to make the most of the run.

Dan Bailey was banging FGs
Romo gave it away
Beautiful
10 minutes of number 10
Best game ever, IMO.
Man. Packers own the Cowboys and their stadium for a long time. Now the Cowboys have our old coach.
The player can not throw the ball to the ground or get angry after the celebration of Touch Down
Boykin looked legit in this game. What ever happened to him?
Jerry Jones sent me here! When I asked him why Mike McCarthy!
4:32 is where the fun begins
WHAT A GAME!! GPG 2020
If Rodgers ever leaves GB, which probably will be soon if we dont get ring soon, I wouldn't mind Flynn as our new QB. Hes really good.
Matt Flynn was a solid QB even as a backup. The most identical QB to Rodgers that I've ever seen.
