It looks like your grid is very plugged up. if you UNPLUG IT FIRST.... and then take a chop stick and just touch inside each hole of your grid all those bugs will fall right out. And it will work like new every day.... the clearer you can see that black light bulb, the more enticing itis to them. and youre right about the usefulness at the coop! ive always used bug zappers as a REQUIRED element of keeping chickens! ive had this 5500 model for about 6 months and its one of the better ones.... ive seen stronger ones but on mine I never see a survivor! so no need to spend $200 on one for sure. The black flags bug zappers are absolute garbage! Those things are HORRIBLE! Get a stinger, or a Flowtron! NEVER use a black flags!
