Abandoned Maximum Security Prison Filled With Inmate Files
Вставка
- Опубліковано 16 вер 2024
- This abandoned prison dates back to when it was built in 1929. It served the area as a maximum security prison for approximately 85 years before closing its doors in 2015. The prison had its fair share of notorious inmates through the years. It also had a reputation of violence, corruption, illegal restraints, overcrowding, police brutality, and other forms of inmate abuse. Several inmates also died in the prison while in custody, causing outrage and protests. Eventually the prison became more of a hotbed for crime than an actual solution to crime. State officials closed the prison for good in 2015 and it still sits vacant today.

The amount of files was unreal!! This was pretty cool!!
It really was! Thanks for tuning in Claire!!
Motivation to stay straight and not f around
A nice place to visit but I wouldn’t want to live there.
We agree with that haha!
I spent just shy of 3 years in prison for a crime I did not commit. Finally got out on appeal. I been out 3 years now. I know dispise our criminal justice system. I don't understand the lure of old closed down prisons and jails. But watching this video I thought this is cool, could find every prosecuter that's done something that sent a person to prison wrongly and bring them to this prison. Turn off the power, lock doors and leave them locked in.
A really good idea to showcase other explorers stuff!
You know if you ever want to release videos you have a platform with us to post them bro!
Need to tell loads of people where you are in case you get locked in there by accident
Na, If we can get in we can get out!
😟..2 much personal info on inmates just left behind
Yes its crazy they left it all in here.
Thank you for the video surely with all those prisoner files its a Hippa violation
Im sure it is, yet nothing will ever happen out of it.
@@abandonedcentral well at least noone knows where this building is and lets hope their are cameras monitoring the building
I agree I just hope the location is kept secret and security patrols the perimeter 24/7
Wow I’m guessing this place wasn’t closed to long ago, like maybe within the last decade and they still have the Bars, nowhere has bar doors anynore
Lights on, desktops and computers., all the files .. so crazy. great place @urbex-offlimits 👍.. and what a great idea AC 👌 👏 🤘
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
Thanks was a wild location!
I’m always interested in abandoned hospitals, prisons, schools, etc. just wanting to know about the history they held.
How long has it been abandoned I wonder? Those monitors looked fairly new
It closed down 6-7 years ago.
I know it's probably been thought of, and said, but wow how many homeless could be off the streets with some clean up?
Yea it really sucks they don't open these open to be used as homeless shelters.
Did this kid just say he loves jails and prisons ?
i got nervus by the way you almost look like you are running thru this jail, why such a hurry slow down please. it is such a great place and so much to see.
It's a nervous place to be in. All of those cameras are active. It's not a location you want to spend much time in.
Was in there for hours taking photos and video I'm just always in a rush hahah. I'll film more next time!
Good afternoon I like your a video it's very excellent keep doing and be safe I'll give you 100% I like all your videos and it is a Federal. Prison
Thank you for watching Angel, we really appreciate the support.
Once again the power is still on 😲🙄🙄😲
Pretty common in abandoned buildings throughout the USA.
@@abandonedcentral I've noticed that is the normal thing to be leaving the power on
This place is very intact like it could still be used immediately if need be. I wonder why it's empty and not being used?
Lights still on ?
We often find lights in or working power
Was keeping my eye out for the execution room on the 5th floor. Maybe it was near the medical room?
Damn, didn't even know there was one there. He must of missed it somehow. That place is huge.
Why does it still have electricity? It seems like such a HUGE waste of money. I'm sure they could have re-purposed many things here but decided it was easier to just collect more taxes and build a new prison
It's connected to buildings that are still active. They also use parts of it for storage so the power still needs to be on for that.
Can't believe they stopped using a perfectly good prison.
Um yeah
@@Urbex_Offlimits I bet you them prisoners in Madagascar would be more than grateful to have such a modern facility such as this instead of sleeping on the floor. I mean a lot of it looks well kept up.
@@Rusty_Nickle well that sucks
Should have made It a homeless shelter
@@Scooter1975 maybe they will
I did time at this prison that posed in 2002 I was 1 out the 5 guys left out of a 1000 guys this was over 100 years old when it closed in 2002 it was the old Bridgewater mental hospital in Massachusetts it was turned into a prison in the 1980s it was midevil looking there was labodamy tables in the kitchen basement crazy place I'dike to explore that place
Man thats a really tough one to explore. I'd love to interview you about it once we eventually get a video done there!
This place has numerous brick buildings the Boston stranger woman serial killer Jane topan has spent time there when it was a mental hospital I spent 2 years there I was classed to a work release I ended up in Shirley max because it was closing and they were sending guys were there were openings I seen a guy get murdered right in front of me I was in my early 20s in a Massachusetts state prison I had a lot of friends from the streets there so I had a lot of dudes behind me

What state just cuious?
To protect the location I do not disclose the location unless it's already well known or demolished.
@@Urbex_OfflimitsIt's in Tamms, Illinois.
Let's get those doors open to get those other rack of keys! 😂
How the heck did urbex get in this place???
Why was it abandoned
U shouldve seen if elevators still worked lol
This could have been an interesting video, but your use of the camera makes my head spin, you could have lingered more on the interesting parts, like the graffitithat would have given an insite into the mind of the inmates, so I left at about 7 minutes in
I agree with you. This was a video submitted by a fellow explorer. It's the first time we published someone else's content, and that was a concern of mine. Its something I told them to work on for the next video. Thanks for the feedback, have a good one!
Hey I need that mop bucket
I was in West Virginia prison and this is how it looked I just thank God for getting me freedom and allowing me to get my name cleared I don't miss it either. Thank you for sharing
What city is that in?
In 1972 a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit.
Is this stll their
Yes.
Nice place for some Haitians
