The book is spot on! Really enjoying the methodology/ethos etc
I can only imagine that the leading member/scapula+arm/hand/finger uses the word “cuticle” advisedly ….
But I’m having trouble “getting it” - [is it to convey a degree of bend in the unstraightened fingers?]
    - Sorry for the stupid question but one of my learning obstacles is interpreting things too literally.
The other block I have is trying to get length in my hip flexor along with the post pelvic tilt movement
    - to me it feels like I am shortening the hip flexor when I do this…..

Hi there, these are both great questions. If you really stay true to the cue and just think about using the bottom of your scapular to send (as if LazarBeam‘s firing forwards out of your cuticles along the finger nail) forwards to the other end of the pool it should all take care of itself. Sometimes overthinking can make things harder. So I always suggest, keeping it as simple as possible.
Regarding the hip flexor. If when you get into your streamline position, you just think about your books away from your feet and lengthening through your books to your feet line i.e Trident, and lengthening through your fingernails to feet line i.e. your streamline, all at the same time, you should feel this length in the hip flexes and the pelvis position should take care of itself. I hope that helps thanks.

@@swimmastery maybe some spellchecker issues there?
Yeah, Cuticle is anatomic end of skin at proximal end or base of the nail (ie it’s not at tip of finger/fingernail) ….. ?

@@drdecco1 correct and I have people imagine there are tiny laser beams shooting out from the cuticles along the finger nail.
