Our Clocks go back tomorrow night , torches definitely good after night if not for you to see them for them to see you , awesome tips there my buddy hope you have an awesome week.
@@tuckerandi Thanks so much for watching, very much appreciated 👍. You are definitely right there, I can see the cars but the car won’t see me, always try and be safe especially with road running. Same to yourself have a brilliant week ahead 👍
Lots of good stuff there, Geoff, no nonsense, common sense advice. I have to do 2-3 mins warm up before starting, plus a few stretches, all to avoid injury. Footwear is also as you say very important. I've used Asics Kayano for years and they work for me. Always buy at Banbridge outlet store, half price, and I have 3 pair, one new, one I use mostly and one in breaking in gradually. That works for me. Loved seeing the Victoria Cricket Pavilion. I scored 75 in a match there many years ago! Regards, Ashley
@@ashleyjarnold Morning Ashley. I never thought of a warm up, something I struggle with and it probably effects my first mile or so just getting the breathing going. Asics are hard to beat for running trainers, im in the market for a new pair so I’ll head over to Banbridge and get a look around. 75 is a great score, I love going down there on summers night with Victoria playing watching on the benches around the outfield. Thank you for adding in a tip, much appreciated 👍
Someone listens to me! Best advice is just go out and do any distance, even if it’s shorter than planned, it’s always better than not going out. Thanks Geoff
@@Simon_J_Hodge_Outdoors 100% Simon, getting something in the tank is always good for you. I’m sure there is others listen as well mate. Cheers for watching 👍
Good advice, bro! Keep it up! My running days are done. I keep getting injured, mate. What I find works for me is functional strength conditioning and the stair-master. Definitely feeling the late 40's (49 in January). The cardio from running is hard to beat though.
@@footslogger_ni cheers mate. To be honest cardio is really the only thing I do but I enjoy it to be honest. I’m not that far behind you, but it’s just a number you have to keep moving. I’ve seen that stair master in action it looks tight going.
@ Me too. I’ve tried morning runs but my constitution isn’t designed for that. My most energized runs are around 7 to 8 pm. Also, essential kit is the headlight. That and a high viz jacket. I’m out in Montréal Canada and so our winters are brutal. But being originally from Manchester, I’m used to misery. Cheers. Phil
@@Shaneoutdoors1971 Cheers Shane 👍. A walk is as good as any as well mate and to be fair they say walking is actually better than running. It’s always nice to just get out. You definitely need to be seen, I don’t know where you live but where I’m from the street lights these days are horrendous so lights and high vis. 👍

Sound advice. I only run based on one tip, run when you think the chip shop is about to shut 😂
@@cowalexplorer cheers Fraser. We had a motto years ago, only run when your being chased 😂

My favourite time to run is in the dark.
@@philipswain4122 I enjoy it as well. I feel I can run much easier if that makes sense. Cheers for watching much appreciated 👍
